*I pull up and see Lafferty running up and Nathan pushing the suspect off of himself and getting up. I hear Nathan say knife so I pull my gun and aim at the suspect*

*I put my gun away as I walk up.*

'Looks like you got him under control. What did you see happen?'

*I look at Lt*

'well what I witnessed was him picking up the little girl & throwing her into the truck here & the female trying to grab the child out of the vehicle, that is when I started to run over here. From that point when I called out I witnessed him turn around & hit the female in the face a couple of times then hit her in the stomach, so I came up & announced police stop 2 different times & him still hitting her I knew I was going hands on with him I figured if I got him backed up a couple of steps he would see me & not her & would stop but he went hands on with me, I attempted to draw my spray but he started trying to grab for my gun, so I went to the ground to cover it & that is when he started to place his hands around my neck & squeez & he did this for approximately about a minute even when he was doing this I tried to reach for my tazer & he would put his elbow into my arms preventing me from pulling it. I seen lafferty pull up so I went to the next best thing karate & when I seen him reach for his knife on his left side I broke his arm or dislocated it. I think we are going to need pictures of my neck & her face & his hands. I did see her walking out of the courthouse when I was walking in & he was not to far behind her when he was exiting so my only guess is they had came from court & he did not like the judgement of the case that they were in there on'

*I key up the mic*

"1158 dispatch, request ems code 2 for eval of female with trauma from assault to the face"

*I walk over to my patrol car & pop my trunk & grab the instant ice packs from my gear bag, I walk over to the female & activate it & hand it to her*

'here put this on your face until ems arrives, what happended here?

female: 'I filed for divorce & it went through today'

'ok, who is he to you?

female: 'he is the father of our daughter & my now ex husband, it was just finalized a little while ago'

'ok, does he have a history of domestic abuse & being physical?

female: 'yes sir, last time about 2 weeks ago he put me in the hospital for 2 days, but I signed myself out & grabbed my daughter, I filed the paperwork & the clerk put it through in a hurry thus while it was finalized for the divorce today'

*I walk over to the subject and open Nathans rear door*

'Alright man, lets talk'

'Well, start from the beginning and tell me whats going on?'

'She divorced me offically today, and she made it so that I can't see my kid'

*I walk back to my car trunk & grab a stuffed animal from a black trash bag & walk back to the female & child & Lt, & I hand the little girl the stuffed animal*

*I look at lafferty as he walks up*

'well she states she just got the divorce final today, & that he has a history of being physical with her. About 2 weeks ago he put her in the hospital for 2 days & that is when she determined it was enough & to get herself & her child away from him.

'am I bleeding from my neck cause it sure feels like it?'

*I pull out my stinger flash light and turn it on*

'Well, you got a heck of a contusion there and a slight laceration. Don't look like it will need stitches but, yeah a little bit of bleeding'

*I walk over to my unit and write down what the subject said*

'hey dave, once ems clears him will you transport him for me & I am going to gather her statement & go to the pd clean up & bust out the report really quickly, I think it is a pretty open & shut case don't you'

*I walk over to the back of my patrol car & grab a statement form & hand it to the female to fill out*

'Yeah, i'll take him for you'

*I walk the subject over to my car and put him in the back*

"PC-8 is transporting one to city jail"

I gather the females statment form & advise her to go back inside the courthouse & file for order of protection & that he will be held without bail until a judge can see him.

*I walk back to my patrol car shut the trunk & head to the pd*

"PC-3 dispatch so me busy, departing the courthouse & enrt to the pd for report & uniform maintence"

*I arrive at the pd, park my patrol car & go inside get cleaned up & do my report*

*I walk back to the squad and pull the guy out and search him. I pull the knife' a phone, and a wallet with $20 and a ID. I sit him back down in the squad and I walk over to mine. I swipe his ID and:

'We're going to charge him with assualt on an officer, carrying concealed weapon, domestic assualt in 3rd degree, assualt in the 4th degree. Anything else you want to add?'

*I say as I get in the drivers seat of my car*

'Ill drop this guy off and I'll head back over to the PD.'

'Alright, I'll go in with Maria and make sure she gets everything taken care of, then I'll get the written statment and photos of her injuries.'

*I walk over to Maria.*

'Hey, how are you doing.'

'Thats good, ok, I'm going to need you to sign a written statment and then I'll photograph the injuries you have.'

*We walk over to my squad and she fills out and signs the witness/victim report. I then photograph the injuries.*

'You go into the courthouse and go to the main desk. They will guide you through the process. More than likely you will get one during this cases court hearing.'

*I get back in my car, kill the lights, and pull away. I wave to the kid as I pull away.*

*After dropping the subject off at the jail I head back to the station*

*After yesterdays bust, I pridefully walk into the police station and change into my uniform. I then walk out of the police station and quickly to my car. I get in and sit down with a sigh trying to get my Mojo on -you know my A game. I then start up my car and begin my patrol.*

*I pull out of the complex and head to Morgans Lane*

*I walk to the driver side and jump in*

"She came up listed working at the diner at the end of the interstate. Head over there and see if they know where to find her. No confirmed address, the one listed has been vacant since a fire there some time ago. Possibly staying with a relative?"

*I put my car in drive and drive to the diner code 1*

*I pull up to a redlight an notice a couple of good looking women next to me.*

*I slam on the gas and flip on my lights as the light turns green*

"PC-8 to COPA: I'm Attempting to catch up to a black ford mustang that took off at a red light. Were east bound on Morgans Lane. Speeds are only at about 40 at this time."

*I reach down and hit my airhorn a couple times and turn on my wail*

*The car begi to slow down and I turn off my siren*

"Negative 6. I'm gonna be out on Morgans Lane with a Black Ford Mustang. LPN is gonna be 157 BOY, ZEBRA, ADAM."

*I grab my hat as I walk up to the car. As I reach the trunk I feel to make sure it is secured*

'Evening, I'm Corporal Lafferty with the ERT-PD. I pulled you over for running a redlight and failure to yield to me. May I see your license, registration and proof of insurance?'

'You are lucky we pulled over.'

'Why is that?'

*They hand me their info and I walk back to my unit.'

*As I drive towards Booth on Morgans Lane I pull up next to Dave.*

"6 priors in the past month for wreckless driving, running reds, and similar. We also have a 167 Bravo Zulu Alpha reported same model in a road rage incident last month, that plate is registered to a blue honda station wagon. Request additional units to 8's location, advise of number of persons in the vehicle for transport"

*I pull around and behind him, put my lights to stage 3 and walk up to Dave passenger side.*

"10-4 COPA. Vehicle has three occupants. Two females and one male"

*I notice that the male in the back seat keeps looking at me then messing with something*

"8 to COPA: Advise responding units male in the back seat us messing with something. I'm not sure if he has a weapon or what is going on"

*I look over at Libor*

"COPA, can we get another squad out here code 2."

'So lets see, plates dont match to the car this should be fun, you wanna pull the driver out and we'll see whats up?'

'Yeah, works for me'

*I Oder the lady to walk bac to the hood of my unit*

'Alright lady come to the rear please'

*She walks back and I keep a close eye on the car and make sure to turn my gun side away from the lady*

"Traffic 2 on scene with PC 6 and PC 8." I step out and walk over to the patrol officers. 'Hey guys, I heard the call.' I nod toward the car. 'So they took you for a ride and have false plates, that what I hear?'

'So far that's what I believe is going on.'

*I look back at the young driver*

'Ok, so you have about five minutes to explain this to me or else were hauling all of you in.'

'Well, my friend who is in the back seat made these false plates or a friend made them I'm not sure. But, we also have a alternate plate under the driver seat.'

'Hold on, is that what he was stuffing under the seat?'

'Yeah, why?'

'Well, I believe he was getting a weapon. And, I will continue to believe that until this is all over.'

*I look over at Officer Ranta*

'Hey, I'm Dave sorry I missed you at the station earlier. Would you mind running all their information for me? It's all in this pile of crap they gave to me when I got their IDs.'

'Ma'am, is their anything you want us to know before we run you?'

'Well, I do have active warrants outstanding.'

I go back to my car and start running everyone.

'I still think that is a gun under the seat, I just have that feeling.'

'I guess let's go ahead and secure her and get her in the back of one of the units'

*I walk into the police station after a good nights sleep and go into the locker room to change into my uniform. I then walk out and head for my car.I sit down and start to patrol.After a while of nothing I think i find something. Some idiots are speeding up at a yellow light but they were to late because the light had changed red but they kept on going.I put my lights on and tail him and he pulls over. I get out of my car and go up to his window and ask for his name.*
'' Whats your name sir''
'' Adam and my wife here is going into labor!!!"
* I then ask him if he wants and escort*

"Yes but please hurry up she's going into labor''
* I quickly jump into my car and try to make way for the man and his wife. while im driving im still shocked because i had never had to deal with this before. We pull into E.R. after about 10 minutes. I assist the man and his wife into the checking in table and ell the man i had to leave and tried to give him good luck.
'' Thank you sir for helping me and my wife .
'' No problem ''
* After leaving the hospital i still feel shocked and have that weird caution kind of feeling. either way i still feel good about my self and continue my patrol*

'I'm going to pull the male out.'

*I walk up the car.*

'Sir, will you please step out of the car.'

'Sir, you are under arrest, get out of the car now!'

*I pull the door open and grab him as he tries to push me away, I pull him out and through him on the ground.*

*I manage to cuff him.*

I take the woman's arm. 'All right, you're under arrest for outstanding warrants, disregarding a traffic signal, and fleeing and evading.'
I read her rights and cuff her, placing her in the back of my car.

'So Corporal, Lieutenant, what should we do with the other one?'

'I'll go get her'

*I walk up and have the lady get out of the car and place her in cuffs*

*I walk her back to my unit and put her in the back seat and advise her if her rights*

'Alright, just sit tight ma'am and we will take you down in a few.'

*I take the guy back to the squad and read him his rights. I search him and find up nothing of intrest. I put him in Ranta's squad.*

'We'll, lets do an inventory search on the car, call a cab for the other girl since we got nothing on her.'
