Patrol centre

ERT Patrol centre is for police persons to conduct regular patrols. Units may not patrol if on another call, and may not respond to a call when patrolling without stopping current jobs here.

Luckily I managed to reschedule my meeting with the City fire chief tonight just after supper, so I scarf down a quick meal, throw on my regular uniform and head to the north station in my DC-1 car. On my way there I notice a car drop speed and drive very cautiously when he recognizes I'm ERT. I flick on my lights and pull him over for suspicious behavouir. I get my high vis jacket and head out to check it out.


"Hi, my name is Commissioner Burke of the ERT.." He looks aboout 15 and scared. "You're not legal to drive are you?"

"No sir, am I going to jail? he says shakingly.

"No, but you are going to get arrested and I'm taking you to ERT headquarters in a police car to be booked. Lets get you out of this car."

He steps out and I place him in cuffs and sit him in my back seat after pulling the divider through the middle, partitioning him from the rest of my truck.

"DC-1 to ERT Patrol, I need a unit out here on the west b ound lane on the Trulit interpass west of our base to do a transport of an illegal teenage driver. Unit respond code 2, please investigate.

Fortunately I have another 20 minutes to get into town, and I've got a lightbar that'll clear some traffic if need be.
I get inside my truck, turn off the red lights, and flick on blue and red steady burns while I wait.

"DC-1 this is patrol 2 I can respond code 2 to your location."
*Headed to patrol car from break room I grab my hand heald and put out over the ari*
"patrol 2 responding code 2 to Trulit interpass RE:illegal teenage driver ETA 2-3"
*Jump in my patrol car flick on code 2 lights only and start responding*

"Central advise patrol 2 has arived a location, put me out for investigation.
*I step out of my vehical and walk over to the teenage driver indicated in the call.*
"why am i here" I ask
"because I dont have my lisencs to drive sir"
"stay here" I say whail I walk over to the DC
"hey sir, do you have his info and what can you tell me" I ask

*Whail waiting for DC-1 to get me the info I radio dispatch for a tow truck*
"patrol 2 requesting a tow truck to my location"

((Please do not triple post! do it all in one post, and read mine. He was being detained in my car.))

I have an ID. That's it. Here it is, you take care of him, I've gotta run.

(yes I know he was detained in your back seat I never indicated that I walked to his vehicle or yours. Next time ill specify going to your car and not just using general terms.)

"patrol 6 you can respond non urgent to my location" I put out over the radio.

*I run the kids ID and find he has no record*
"Do you live with your parents?"
"yes"
"what is their number"
*I call his parents and ask them to respond to my location*

10-4. En route code 2. I pull up right behind the other car and flick my rear lights on. What you got here?

"I guess DC-1 caught this guy driving under age without a licens. I dont know what his problem cause to pull him over was, but we are stuck with it now. Ive contacted the boys parents and they are en-rout."
*I give officer libor some papper work*
"If you can help me out and get the info on the car for the tow truck when he gets here?"

I'll get the plate info and such. I look the info on the squad computer. The car is regestered to a Dave and Mary Johnson.

*A car pulls up behind officer Libors car and the driver and passenger step out*
"Hello, you must be MR. and Mrs. Johnson?"
"Yes we are. Is our son ok?"
"well he’s in a little bit of trouble. See he was caught driving without a license and as you know that illegal. I’ll let you talk to him wail I go talk to my partner"
*I walk over to officer Libor*
"So what do you want to do about this one? We can tow the car and take the kid in, but he’s been straight up with us and I think his parents will take care of him(as we hear yelling and screaming coming from the boy’s parents) and im not in the mood to screw him till he’s 18 or 21. So what do you think Libor?"

I say just fine him, he can't drive until he is 18 now.

*I fill out the ticket and head over to the boy and his parents*

"OK son heres your ticket for driving without a licenes. The judge will tell you the punishment. I also wount be towing your car but mr. Johnson your going to have to drive the other car home."
"Thankyou so much sir"
"get home safe"

*The boy gets in the car with his mom and they drive away followed shortly by the father*

"Patrol 2 to central please 10-22 that tow truck to my location and please advise its code 4 re:DC-1's traffic stop"

*I head over to Lobor*

"Hey thanks for the help ill see you on the next one. Im going to be on patrol in the city"

Ya I think I'm going to head up to the interstate to see if I can pick anyone up.

"haha a traffic man I like your style. later"
*gives libor a wave and heads off on patrol*

Copa, I'm stopping a red 4 dr mercury, plate # evj 492. 85/70.

"Central advise im going to be conducting a traffic stop on a blue 4 door chevy RE:failed to signal before lane change. Im going to be at av. 6 just south of city hall"

*I step out and make contact with the drive*

"do you know why i pulled you over?" I ask
"NO sir" The driver said looking very nervous.
"im going to ask you to step out of the vehical please." I pull him out because he seems odly nervous and its for my safty and his.


"Patrol 2 requesting back up RE:my traffic stop code 2"

*I place hand cuffs on him do a prelimnary pat down on him and sit him on the curb.*
"Is it ok if i look in the car for and wepons or such?"
"I guess" the driver replys"

*I begin my seach and await backup*

I quickly finish my ticket and give it to the person and get in my car, enroute code 2 (i flick on my lights to get through lights and traffic, i pull up behind the sqaud, what up with this guy?

"I dont know. When I pulled him over he was acting very strange and nervous. So I pulled him out did a pat down and found nothing, but something tells me this kid has something to hide. Im going to get another unit here to watch this guy and we can finish searching the car."

"patrol 2 requesting another unit non emergent to my location."

"so libor what did you cite that guy for on the freeway?"


(time has passed no one acked up on the radio)

"well i guess we are on our own. Ill throw him in the back seat and we can tear up the car"

*I proced to place the driver in the back of my patrol car and walk over to contuine my search*

Gave a speeding ticket (cheap ticket :p) I'm going to see if we can get a cause to search the car, we can only do a general area search now right?

"well noramly we would need probable cause (see a gun or dope), a warrent, if hes under arest we have full rights, or if he gave us permision whitch he did so we have fullll rights. Lets see if we can find something on this guy."

Sounds good, I head up to his car.

"hey you smell that?"

Ya, smell like shit, must be weed

"hahaha first one to find the weed gets 10 bucks"
*I start looking in and around everything on my side*
"hey look I found this pipe under the driver seat. Its still got reson in it theres gotta be weed some where in here"

I see a bag stuffed under the seat, i reach under and find a bag with about 20 g of weed. Look what I found, I bet he has more, he has a bunch of small bags, a scale, and a few grinders. He looks like a dealer.

"good find libor (hahahahah 20 grams thats a grip of weed) dont forget to check the glove compartment, center concel, and visors and ill get started on the back seat and trunk"

(i know, my only bust on a ride along was 114 grams, now that was a good day). Will do, in the glove compartment there is a gun loaded, nothing in the chamber. There is also a couple pocket knifes. There is a couple small packages of weed is here, probaly on the way to a deal. After this we should make use of the interview rooms and find who his supplier is and who he deals to.

"I was thinking the same thing. Lets go 10-15 with him and take him to the station. You book the evidence and ill book him on posesion of weed and a hand gun. im sure dc-1 will have to aprove us interviewing him. SO lets just book him and wait on dc's aprovel cause im sure we will need the tac team for any warent situation or a no knock warent cause we are NOT properly trained."

*I take the driver out of my back seat do one more pat down to just be safe. Throw him back in car and get ready to take off*

"hey libor can you make sure to request a 926 (tow truck) for that car its going on a 30 day hold and ill meet you at the station."

10-4, ill sit out here until the tow arrives. Copa, can we get a tow out to our location. We are putting car on 30 day hold. I gather up the evidence and put them in my trunk and sit and wait for the tow.

"central be advised ill be transporting 1 male adult to headquarters RE:narcotics violation begining milege 11456"

*I pull into the staion*

"central my ending milege for transport is 11459"

*I take the driver out of my back seat and in to the station where i will begin booking him and wait for my partner for the evidence. I also drop DC-1 a message asking him about possibly interviewing the suspect and trying to get more info out of him*

A tow truck arrives and picks up the car. I tell him where to bring it and head back to the station. "Dispatch Patrol-6 returning to station" "I pull up into the station grab the evidence and head in.

"hey budd im almost done here if you can book that i think we will be good for the night. Im going to try and catch a few zzz's and hopefully dc has emailed me back and we can try and crack this guy."

"Will do, im gonna do the same been a long day." I head over and start to fill out the evidence logs and put the drugs and weapons in the evidence room. "See ya later."

*as I pull into the station I radio officer libor*

"patrol 6 to libor when you have a free minute can you ocme and pick me up from the station ill be ridding with you for the time being"

*park my car and get all my gear out and wait for my new partener*

*I have been cleared to retunr to patrol I grab my gear throw it in my car and exit to the street.*

Pc-6 Traffic Stop, possible dk driver,licence plate: wfe 241 location: 14th ave and Park St.

*I walk up to the car* *Tap on window for him to open is, see a couple cans get pushed under the passenger seat* "Heeyeyy Offffiiccerrr" *Says in slurred speech* " Hows it going today? Do you know why I stopped you?" "DUUNoo Offfiver" Ok sir, will you step out of the car?"*Smell a strong odor o alcohol.* "suur" *He steps out and falls down* "You ok?" "yaaa, im jut goin sit here"Ok can you walk at all?" "Noop" "Ok, comeover here for me." *I help him walk over infront of my car* "You been drinking?""Yas" "How many you have" "Couple" Ok stand up. *I put cuffs on him and put him in my squad* Can I get another squad out here?

*flick on lights and start rolling ot back my partner*

Dc I'll be clear of dk driver heading to drunk tank, city tow has car and bringing to impound.

"central be advised ill be ill be conducting a T-stop on 6th street north of ave k re: running a red light for a blue chevy 4door."
*I turn on my light and flick the siren a couple times....He fails to pull over.*
"central be advised the driver isnt stoping and we are now coming to the intersection of 6th and bonita av he might run thi...... O shit he just TCed at the intersection of 6th and bonita with a white van. Start rolling me fire, a RA, and another unit for traffic."

I roll up to the scene* hey starling, I grab my medical kit and vest. How the hell did this happen?

(haha I didnt even hear youack up on the radio)
"this guy in the blue car faild to pull over when i lit him up and tryed to run this red light and tced this white van. If you can re-rout trafic on 6th street ill do the same on bonita. Fire and EMS have been called I want them to size up scene"
*I walk to my car grab my vest and head to bonita and stop traffic and strat to turn it around.*

I'm going to check the patients first.

"i looked in right after and everything looks minor nothing a c coller can a back board cant fix, but this is a buisy intersection and i dont want some distracted drive to cause a secondary colision"

The doors are smashed down in white van, need fire to extracate, persons awake and alert. Other guy is complaining of neck pain, also need fire to get out to prevent injury. I heading up for traffic now.
