*I park behind their squad and get out and walk over to the guys.*

*I look over at Libor*

'Up to you boss, we can take them in or just call for their parents to pick them up'

*I hear 6 go in behind 8, so I cruise over there, and get out of the car. I walk up next to Lt. Libor and whisper in his ear*

'Hey, maybe we need to hang onto these 2 for a bit. The owner of the Japanese food joint down the road says there's been some street racing going on lately, says he thinks it's Bosozuku, which is an Asian street racing gang."

'alright, one second.'

*I walk away a little ways.*

"6 to copa, we got any info on a Bosozuku street gang?"

*I take out my phone & call their parents, I walk over to the lt*
'Lt I am notifying their parents of the situation & have them come down here to pick them up, me personally they are young & I think they will learn their lesson when they get home with their dad, but we could gather information ref to the gang that stone was talking about & cut them loose, what do you think'

'Yeah, hopefully their dads will take care of them'

*I adjust my hat*

'Lt, if you want to let them be released to their parents, Nathan and myself can stay with them while you, PC-4 and PC-7 can go ahead and assist TAC

*I hear the EAT in my car beeping and the radio starting to heat up with dispatch information, and chatter*

'Crap, I'm gonna get over to the end of Chinese District and stage up'

*I take 4 quick steps to the drivers side of my car, pop the trunk from the door controls, grab some shotgun ammo, and bring it up front with me, then take off dark and silent to the end of Chinese District Road*

'Yeah, they were born and raised here'

*I say to Stone wHile trying not to laugh at what he just said*

'Stone you be careful out there'

*I walk back over to the kids.*

'Who were the older kids?'

'Some guys with super cool cars and stuff.'

*I look over at the other guys*

'Sounds like a match for Bosozuku.'

*looks at the kids.*

'Do you know the older guys?'

*I head back to my car and drive to the chinese district.*

*I walk back over to our unit and get in the passenger seat and pull up the EAT*

*I begin to type up my report as Nathan continues to talk to the boys*

*After James and Jack's parents arrive and take them home we head to the station to fill out a report*

*Once we have finished our report we go by the TEC shop and get fuel*

*I say as Nathan drives us back toward the Japenese district in case were needed for the Bust*

*I turn on the left blinker as I approach Fahey St. I then slow down and turn onto the street and pull over and put the vehicle into park. I then turn the EAT towards me and begin typing into it

*I then flip on the the lights on and make a left onto Second and begin picking up speed turning the dial on the siren to manual and put my hand on the switch and give aq burst of airhorn or wail as I approach intersections. I then stop at 1215 Second where I see a PPD Unit on a traffic, I pull behind the vehicle and turn the rear amber lights on and pull behind the Unit and then pick up the radio and talk into it
"PC-4 On Scene of backup request."
*I open the door and exit my cruiser, I then step onto the sidewalk and approach the PPD Cruiser and lean inside the window and see the officer waiting.
'What's the problem?'
'He's just been very nervous, pulled him over because of a suspicious car report, something's up, just dont wana do it aone.'
'Alright.'
*I wait for the PPD officer to approach the driver side door, and as he does I approach the passneger side door. As soon as I approach it I smell the distinctive smell of marijuana. I look above the low riding 2 door vehicle and look at the other officer. The officer nods at me confirming my suspicions. I listen to the officer talking to the driver who gives permission for us to search his vehicle. I then walk back with the suspect making sure he doesnt run as the PPD officer searches the car and finds 1 Full Zip Lock Gallon sized bag of Marijuana, and then 2 more. I grab my handcuffs from the rear of my belt with my right hand keeping my left on the suspect. Once I got the handcuffs out of their pouch I tightly place them onto the suspect and sit the suspect down onto the curb and approach the PPD oficer.
'You gona transport?'
'Yea, I guess so.'
'Ok, Im gona read him his rights and put him in your cruiser.'
*I then pull the suspect to his feet and walk him over to the PPD officer's cruiser and open the back door and place him inside.
'You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law, you have the right to an attorney, if you cannot afford one, one will be provided for you, do you understand your rights?'
'Yea, Why am I under arrest.'
'Possession of Marijuana with the intent to sell.'
*I then shut the door and walk up to the PPD officer who is calling for a city tow truck to tow the vehicle to the impound lot. I then wave to him and get in my car and sit in my car and begin typing into my EAT.

I pull onto Donovan's Terrace and start heading toward the residential area, but I notice a dark signal. The traffic is being smart about it, but it's only a matter of time before it becomes a problem. I pull up and turn my warning lights on. "COPA, Traffic 1, I'll be mobile at Donovan and Union, requesting Phoxlind Public Works to my location for a traffic signal failure." I pull on reflective vest and wave all the traffic to stop as I walk out to the center of the road. I point to southbound Union traffic and call them forward.

"PC-4 Out of Service"
*I pull into my spot at the station and go into the lockeroom.

*We get back in our unit and begin to patrol around the residential district waiting for a call*

'I think we will stay away from the complex for a while, I don't want to die'

(Sorry I took a day or two to clear, family emergency.)

The public works crew arrives and pries open the signal box. Within minutes, the lights are functioning as usual. I head over to speak with them as they finish up.

"Yeah, the light blew a breaker is all. Not really sure why. We're testing the wires, but the lights are workin again. Thanks for the call."
I nod and get back into my cruiser.
"Traffic 1 is clear for assignment, resuming patrol"

"8 to COPA: Are there any calls holding for patrol?"

*I say as we stop at a red light*

'Another day in paradise I say as I take a drink of coke'

"Units, we've got a traffic light outtage in a busy intersection, requesting a unit respond to handle the situation"
"8, please stop by Phoxlind Foods, they've detained a shoplifter, and need him transported. PPD has no available units in the area to handle a transport"

*Nathan turns the car around and we begin heading toward Phoxlind Foods*

"PC-8 copies were enroute"

'Well, this should be fun, since were a ways away lets go ahead and run code'

*I say as I flip on the lights and sirens*

"Traffic 1 to handle the light failure." I flip on my lights and head that way. As I pull up, I see the lights are all flashing yellows. I pull out my traffic key and begin to manually run the lights.

*We make a right hand turn and I reach down and turn off the siren*

'Alright, right up there is the store'

*Nathan pulls up the the front entrance and I grab my hat and put it on as we walk inside*

"PC-8 is onscene"

*I open the door for Nathan and we walk back to where the subject is*

'Afternoon guys, whats going on?'

'This guy was caught trying to steal that'

*The manager points to a couple bottles of wine*

'How old are you?'

*The suspect looks at me for a few seconds*

'I'm 22, like its any business of yours'

'It is actually'

'Now, stand up and put your hands behind your back.'

*He just looks at me*

'Maybe you didn't hear me. Stand up and put your hands behind your back now!'

*He continues to sit there*

'Arlight, either you cooperate or we will force you too'

'Go ahead'

*Nathan and myself stand him up and handcuff him using minimal force necessary and read him his rights*

'Alright do you understand your rights that I have read to you?'

'Yeah, whatever. I am filing brutality charges on yall'

'You go right ahead'

*We load the subject into our car and start toward the station*

*I turn the camera on and make sure it is facing him on our way to the station*

"PC-8 to dispatch: Were transporting one and will need a supervisor to meet us at the station. Subject is wanting to speak to him"

*After filing out our reports we get back in the patrol unit and head back out*

"PC-8 is back available"

'I guess lets head back down to the Japenese District area and see if we can find something'

"COPA, is CE-1 available to assist? Traffic's stacking up here while I'm waiting for Tec.". ((I see you lurking Charlie. We miss you.))

*We pull up to the side of the street*

'Let's get out and walk around the block, we can do some community policing. Build a relationship with the community'

"PC-8 to dispatch: We will be out of the unit on foot in the Japenese district available for calls"

*I put my hat on as we begin to walk down the sidewalk, stopping to talk to people*

*After walking around the block and getting to know some off the vendors we head back to our unit*

"PC-8 is back in the car, if you need us to we can head over to assist TU-1"

*I say into my radio, I then put it back on my belt and toss my hat up on the dash and get in the passenger seat*

'Alright, Nathan take us where ever you would like to go'

*I sit back and enjoy the drive and watch the cars go by.*

"That's at their discretion, we've got no pending calls here"

*I key up the mic on the console*

"8 copies."

"8 to TU-1: We will start toward your location and if CE-1 arrives before we arrive we will cancel"

'Alright, lets head out there Code 1 Nathan'

"COPA radio check for unassigned units"

"6 go ahead."

"Copy that PC-8. I'm district 4, 8th Avenue and Empire. I've got heavy traffic coming down Empire. Maybe we can send some of the overflow down Keller Street to ease congestion. Right now Tec is a few blocks out but caught in this mess."

*I pull up behind Morrigans car*

"PC-8 will be out with TU-1"

*I grab my hat and put on my safety vest and walk down a little ways and send some of the overflow onto Keller Street*

"PC-8 to TU-1: I'm sending overflow down to Keller Street"

"Copy. I see Tec now." The truck finally gets through traffic and the passenger hops out, rushing over to take my place at the box while I keep traffic flowing down 8th. The light comes back on after a few minutes.

"1152 portable to 1117, Signal's up and running, you're welcome to clear as you're ready."

The Tec Engineer looks at me strangely as I come over. 'The breaker blew, but I can't find any reason for it.'

I cock an eyebrow. 'That's odd, that's the second one today that's done the same. Thanks for the help, I'll keep an eye out for any others. Sounds like we're not out of the woods.' I grab my lapel mic as the Tec team wraps up. "1152 portable, COPA. Tec is still unable to locate the source on the light failure. Be advised there may be a pattern."

*I take my vest and put it back in my car andwalk up to Morrigan and stand watching traffic for a moment.*

'So, this is the second one huh?'

*I look around and back to Morrigan*

'I agree with you, looks like something may be up.'

I nod to Lafferty, with a solemn look. 'It's weird though. Makes you think. It could be power surges, but why are they only affecting some spots at different times? It could be a person breaking into the boxes, but why pop the breaker instead of doing real damage?' I look over again at the traffic, by now flowing smoothly through the intersection. 'Some days, protecting and serving makes you really wonder what we're protecting against. I think I might head back to the station if the DC is available. He should be informed about this.'
I pull out my phone and call the COPA office. The line rings. 'COPA, Jennifer Souley, how can I help you?'

'Jennifer, this is Steve Morrigan, Traffic division. Could you schedule me in to see District Commissioner Burke? I need 5 minutes of his time.'

'I'll let him know when I see him, officer.'

'Thank you Jennifer. Have a nice day.' I end the call and nod to Lafferty. 'That's that.'

'What are the areas that has had traffic light failures recently?

*I pull out my notepad*

'We can see if their is a pattern and can set up and see if we can catch them'

*I look at Morrigan*

'Your traffic so this is your call.'

"6 to units at Empire, you guys ok out there?'

"PC-6 were 10-4. Just doing a follow up investigation"

*I walk over to my car and send a message through the EAT about the possible Break-in and tampering with traffic controlled devices*

*I recieve and read the message.

I write back **10-4, let me know if anything is needed.**

*I get out of my unit and walk back up to Morrigan*

'That was the LT, if you think we need anything else just ask'

*I notice a car with a couple hot girls in it eyeing us as they go by*

'Hey, check them out.'

'Alright, well if you don't need us then we are gonna get lost'

*I look at Lafferty, & start walking back to the patrol car*

*I get into the car & place my seatbelt on & start typing on the mdt to catch up our log*

'Alright, well keep us updated Morrigan we are going to go back inservice'

*I get back I the passenger seat and toss my hat up on the dash*

'Alright, what do you say we go do a traffic stop.'

'ok'

*we start down the road & cruise for awhile*

'man people are either really smart today or just are plain flat broke that they do not want a ticket'

*come to a stop at a intersection*

*I reach down & turn on my lights & siren, & pull the patrol car out behind the suspect vehicle*

we follow the vehicle for a couple of blocks with no response of the vehicle pulling over

*I do a quick u turn on the interstate.*

*I hit the siren and fly towards 8.*

((sorry guys, I had to go to work and had another fire dept interview)) I get in my car and mark myself out of service as I head toward the complex.

I notice dave calling on the radio to the deputies ahead & them blocking the road.
