I hear Lafferty's call, apparently having drifted off. I bolt up and run out to my car.

"PC-8, T-1. I'm available if you want backup."

I pull out and start heading that way just to be safe.

    "10-4 COPA"

*I wait and notice PPD arrive and walk over to greet them*

'Hey, I'm Lafferty. How are you?'

'Im Officer Jones, and good how about yourself?'

'Im good, you hear to check the car for me?'

    'Sure am'

*He gets his dog and begins to walk around the car when the dog alerts him*

    'Found something'

    'Good deal'

*I say while walking up to the car*

"PC-7 is on duty, am I needed anywhere?" I ask as I pull out of the ERT Complex onto Trulit Interpass. I head west towards the Interstate, passing a car being towed away for repair, someone getting a stern talking to from a PPD officer and several other happenings.

(Steve that was supposed to be onscene. Not obscene, were not up to no good out here I promise. haha, man I hate my Iphone sometimes.)

I crawl under the car and find a small door and open it*

'Well, just what I was thinking'

*I pull out four bags of meth*

'Lets see if there is other doors'

*The officer puts up his dog and we find three more doors under the car. Along with one in the trunk.*

*I start to go through the glove compartment and find an insurance card.*

'I bet you that this is either a stolen car or they stole the insurance card.'

"PC-8 to COPA: Can you give me a return on this tag? Tag is going to be 145 Frank-Lincoln-Adam"

*I continue to look in the car when I find a drivers license under the car on the drivers side*

'Know, this could be planted but, I have the feeling someone lost it on accident'

*I look at the license and key up my radio*

"PC-8 to COPA: D/L Check, License is 901486969, if you could get me a return on it./ Break, PC-8 to TU-1 if you want you can head out this way, we are probably going to need some help transporting this evidence"

((Haha, I didn't even see that. Sometimes when I power read through posts my brain reads the right word. I'm used to iphone mispellings, I have one too. Very Happy ))

    "Copy that PC-8."

I look over to my passenger. 'Well MacLean, you get to start out with the boring stuff. First thing to note: Patrol and Traffic are separate entities. We usually will let them take care of each other. But if they're running short on people, we will respond.'. I shift my eyes around a moment.
'Easy way to remember. Let patrol have a minute to back up their own, but always remember that we all have each other's backs. we go when we're needed, but give them a chance to cover themselves.'

((During most calls, especially major ones, keep in mind that we're traffic, so let patrol cover any issues that aren't traffic related. But if 12 hours have gone by, we can respond to back up or be first on scene. It's important to let everyone have a chance to take a call that was made for their department, but it's also important that all calls get covered. So professional courtesy, then cover a call as needed.))

*I open the trunk of the car*

    'And, I also found this.'

*I point to a large amount of cash*

'That, is why I needed someone else out here. If, you want to transport the money to the station I will remain with the car and try to dig up some info.'

*I walk to my trunk and produce a box and put it together*

'I put one together already, if you would put the money in that one I will fill the bags into this one and if you would just drop off the money at the station.'

    *I look around*

'I'm just worried if I try to transport all this alone, that somebody might be watching and this not end well.'

    "10-4 810 Copies"

*I walk the passenger to my cruiser and have him sit in the back seat of my car after I search him and find nothing, PPD K9 arrives with a few other officers and they track down the driver. I ID him and they take him, and they take the passenger out of my car and take him also, Then an officer walks up to me*

    'Hey man nice bust'
    'Thanks, for the help'
'No problem, that's why we're here'
'Well do you want to secure the scene for me??'
'Yea sure no problem you could take off'
'Thanks man, see you on the next call maybe' *We shake hands and I walk to my car and drive away and patrol*

I turn onto South Twin Road towards the ERT Training Complex and the Transit Office. I spot a vehicle swerving from side to side on the road. It was a red Ford Mondeo, and the number plate read 722 DFG. Not completely out of the lane, but enough for me to pull it over. I flash my lights and sirens, but he doesn't pull over. I put them on again and I touch the button that activates the PA "You in the red Mondeo, pull over now." He doesn't flinch, yet carries on driving in a not so straight line. "PC-7 to all units, I have a suspected DUI failing to pull over. Requesting back-up." I run the plate through the EAT.

I continue following him, and by now he had accelerated to more than 60 mph. "All units, this is PC-7. I repeat, I need assistance at South Twin Road near the Training Centre." I decide to handle this myself. I speed up, so I come up right behind him. I press the speaker button for my PA and say "Pull over now, this is the police." He doesn't do anything but keep driving. I ram into the back of him softly and he start to wobble around, he looks like he can't control the car. I see a hedge ahead at the end of South Twin Road, so I knock him again and he swerves off the road and into it.

"Copy that, suspect is now fleeing on foot" I say as he jumps out of his crashed car and runs off down the street. I open the door and start to run after him. "Freeze, police!" I shout as I draw my Sig-Sauer P226. He carries on running, so do I.

I continue down the alleyway until he just stops and lifts his hands up. He's had enough, and so had I. Struggling to catch my breath I say "Get on the floor, hands above your head." He does so and I walk up to him and pat him down. No weapons, but a wallet with ID saying Carl Ricktof. I put the handcuffs on him and escorted him out of the alleyways back out to the Patrol Car.

I pulled up at the scene "PC-3 is onscene, over." I got out and I saw that Mandrose's car still had it's light on and door open and the other car that crashed into the hedge also had its door open. Then I turned and saw Mandrose coming towards me holding the perp. "Mandrose, I'll transport him, you sort out this mess."

*I drive out toward the residential district and see a PPD car on a traffic stop*

"PC-8 to COPA: I will be out on First Ave backing up a POD officer on a stop. Vehicle will be a white crown Vic, LPN: 194 GHE. Car has four occupants."

*I get out of my unit and put my hat on as I walk up to the passenger side of the POD car.*

'Hey, I'm gonna go up on the passenger seat'

'Sounds good, they haven't gave me any kind of trouble so far.'

*We then walk up and I keep a close eye on the occupants*

As we're rolling through Trulit, I notice a car with its flashers on. I notice a woman is looking under the hood.

'Now we remind the public that we're not just here to send people to jail.' I turn my ambers on and pull behind the car.

"T-1 is mobile for a good faith stop, Apple Blvd in Trulit."

*I pull into a gas station and get a coke and a bag of chips and head back out*

"Okay Sarah." I walk towards my car, and I get in. I flick off the lights and I press the speak button on the radio "PC-7 requesting Tow Truck, outside of Training Academy." I get out and wait for the tow truck to arrive. Whilst doing that, I turned the perps' car engine off and closed the door.

I drive the perp up to the Police Station and send him to the holding cells. I then fill out some forms with the Desk Sergeant and I get off back on patrol. "PC-3 is available." I then think that we aren't doing enough foot patrol and giving out traffic citations. "PC-3 is now referred as 1153, conducting foot patrols on Trulit Interpass and area."

*I circle the block and he acts the same except he appears to be peeking into a house then the house right next to it.*

*I put my hat on as I step out and walk over to the guy*

I walk up to the car.
'Good afternoon, miss. I'm Corporal Morrigan with ERT. Need some help?'

'Yeah, I'm not sure what's wrong.'

I glance under the hood. 'Your battery cable has come loose off the terminal. It's an easy fix. Just for my own safety, can I have your license?'

'Sure.' She hands it to me and I head to the car.

I step out and pull a wrench from the trunk. It takes only a few minutes to secure the cable.
'Looks like it wasn't done right at your last tune-up.' I hand her license back. 'Go ahead and give it a crank.'

The car rumbles to life. 'Thank you so much, officer.' The woman smiles widely.
'Glad I could help, Ma'am.' I wave her off and get back to the car.

'Sir, do you have a drivers license?'

    'Not on me'

'Ok, can I have your name and date of birth?'

    'Yeah, Richard Long. 12/30/1981'

"PC-8 to COPA: can you run a Richard Long 12/30/1981. And give me a return?"

'So, why were you looking in those houses.'

'My ex-wife lives here and I want to see my kid.'

    'Do yall have joint custody?'

    'Yes, sir'

'Well, you should talk to your lawyer and sort it out that way'

I get in my Patrol Car and pull away from the scene, the tow truck know where to go, and some Academy guards were coming anyway. I headed north on Lowhill Road and then I turned off on Second Avenue. I noticed a bike crumpled on floor and a man lying down near it. I pulled over and radioed in "PC-7 is busy with injured Biker, westbound on Second Avenue, over" I got out and brought my medical bag with me. "Are you okay?"
    "Yeah, just fine."
    "I'll call an Ambulance anyway."
I pulled out my mobile and dialled 911. It would be quicker than sending the request through COPA. "911, what's your emergency?"
"This is Officer Mandrose with the ERT. I have an injured biker westbound on Second Avenue. I need an ambulance."
    "Okay, dispatching right now."
I hung up. I turned to focus on the biker. "Did a car so this?"
    "What do you think?"
"Okay. Did you read the liscence plate or know of any witnesses?"
"I think some people saw it over there." He points in a direction further down Second Avenue. "Okay, I'll just stay around until the Ambulance arrives."

'Well, I didn't think that I would get into any trouble just coming by to make sure she is here with our child'

'Yeah, I understand. The only thing is if she calls the police and your trespassing it could hurt you if your arrested should yall go to court.'

'Ok, I see your point. I will go home and call my lawyer in the morning and get things straight.'

'Alright, you have a good evening sir'

I walked along the pathway on Trulit Interpass. Several people walked past me with an assortment of greetings such as "Afternoon ma'am" "Hello officer" and "Hi". I just replied kindly and went on. I then saw that a car was parked on the side of the road. I walked over to it and grabbed my Traffic Citation Pad.

    Emergency Response Team: Police Department
    Traffic Citation

    Vehicle Registration: 675 GHH
Reason for Citation: Illegal parking on sidewalk.
    Fine: $40
    Officer Issuing Citation: Officer Robinson
    Court Appearance Date: 9/26/11

I also filled in another page and put it in my pocket. I then put the original Citation underneath the cars windscreen wipers and I carried on. Whilst I was walking along I radioed in "1153 just issued $40 citation for illegal parking on Trulit Interpass, over."
