'Well, everything looks good here. Has anyone advised the homeowners about their next steps? They're probably gonna want to press charges, so we need to get them started on paperwork, and it sounds like there was a violation of an existing court order here, so we're gonna need to cross-reference that in the reports.'

'Yeah, I think Nathan has got that started'

*I look over at Nathan*

'You got them started on paperwork for pressing charges aren't you sir?'

*I start for the front door, anxious to file my report, and go home. I turn and talk to Dave*

'Hey Dave, I'm gonna have a ton of paperwork to start on, so I'm gonna go ahead and clear myself, and head for the complex, can you wrap things up here, release the PPD resources, and haul that guy in?'

*I key up my mic*

"COPA, PC-7, clearing scene at 4 Orange Street, show me en route to ERT Complex"

'Yeah, PPD was supposed to be released already'

*I walk over to Nathan*

'How much longer do they have on Paperwork? If it's going to be a whole we can have PPD Take care of that and we can head to the complex and drop this guy off'

'yep just finished the paperwork, we can clear now'
"PC-8 dispatch, show us transporting 1 to jail"
*dave & myself get in the car & go to the jail*
we arrive at the jail.
*I get out & get the suspect out of the patrol car, I escort him into the booking & release him to the booking officer*
'hey booking here is a guy in holding cell 4, reporting officer is J. Stone Badge # 1157'
'you are gonna have to check with officer stone to see what charges he wants to bring him up on. See ya'

*I walk into the break room & grab my lunch from the fridge. I sit down & start eating*

*I get in my car, turn everything off , and head for the complex*

*I pull out of the complex and head towards Morgan's Lane.
"PC-4 Patrolling Near Southern Phoxiland."
*I arrive on Morgan Lane and begin driving around in the area of the road.

"PC-8 dispatch, enroute code 3 to assist PC-4 on the disturbance"
*I reach down & flip on the lights & siren*
I arrive at the area & park next to PC-4's patrol car.
"PC-8 dispatch, on scene"
I see Linder unholstering his weapon.
*I bolt up to the residence as I am unholstering my weapon*

"There is a weapon in the house."

*I hold my gun down to my side and see and hear McIntyre Arrive.
'Sir, place your hands behind your back for me.'
'Why!?!'
'Its just for your's, and my saftey, now put your hands behind your back.'
*I holster my firearm and place handcuffs on the man, who shows no resistance and complies with everything I tell him.
'Ok, now, is there anyone else in this building?'
'Uhh, yea my wife, she's in the bathroom, what's going on?'
'Stay here.'
*I push open the screen door while I unholster my pistol and cautiously enter the building and secure the shotgun.
"Weapon Secure."

*I get out of my unit and walk up to Lidner and McIntyre*

'So, what exactly happened?'

*I look over at the subject*

'I mean, there has to be a reason you just made us run hot to get here'

*I look back at Lidner and McIntyre*

'Not bad guys, just one thing Lidner I wouldn't approach the house if you know there is a weapon in there till you have back-up'

'I noticed once we pulled up everyone had their weapons drawn, what was going on?'

'Didnt know there was a weapon involved, thought it was just a verbal fight, though Ill try something different next time. He opened the door and boom, a gun, it was leaning against the fridge, I wasnt gona leave and let him or anyone get here, so I waited for back up, but the apparent victim is still inside the house.'

'Hey, its cool domestics are the most dangerous thing we deal with. Just don't want something to happen to you before we can get there'

*I adjust my hat*

'Did he make a move for the weapon or anything?'

'No, just detained him just in case, don't want something unnecessary to happen.'

*I holster my weapon & enter the residence looking for the female*

'Police Department mam' as I yell going thru the residence.
*I get to the back of the residence into the master bedroom & begin to push on the bathroom door*
'Police Department mam' I yell again
suddenly the door opens & the female there standing with a knife in her hand.
*I unholster my weapon & draw down on her*
'Mam police department, I am here to help you, just put the knife down'
female places the knife down & starts to talk to me.
'ok he is not going to hurt you we have him in cuffs, but what I need you to do is come out here & turn around for me'
female exits the bathroom & turns around.
*I holster my weapon*
'do you have any other weapons on you that I need to know about?'
female: no sir
*I take out a pair of cuffs & place them on the female*
'Mam this is for your's & my safety, you are not under arrest as of yet, but we are going to step outside & talk ok'
*I escort the female outside to the front lawn in handcuffs*
'officer linder I found the female in the bathroom, bloody holding a knife in fear, I placed a pair of handcuffs on her for her safety at this time. Knife is still inside in the bathroom sink, where she put it down & complied'

*I notice McIntyre bringing out a women with blood on her*

'It's going to be a long night'

*I say under my breath as I open my car door and look back at them*

'Hey, Lidner. If yall could bring me their ID's i'll run them for yall, and yall can question them and decide what yall want to do'

*I then take my hat off and place it on the dash as I turn on the dome light to night (red) mode and boot up the computer*

I ask the woman where her id is,
she replies inside on the kitchen table.
*I walk inside & grab her id, & walk out to dave & hand it to him*
*I walk back up to the female & start talking to her*

I finish talking to the female.
'hey dave, can we get ems to come check this female out, she states that he hit her several times in the head & even choked her & 1 point in time till she passed out'
*I stand to the side waiting to talk to linder about what the female stated*

*I take the ID's*

'Yeah, sure thing'

*I grab my handheld and key up*

"PC-8 to COPA: Can you send EMS to our location code 1? Just need to have a patient checked out"

*I then get on the computer*

*I put my hat back on as I get out of the car and walk back up*

'Alright, EMS has been notified. She is clear, but he has a history of resisting police. Including a warrant for Resisting and Attacking an officer. So, we do need to take him no matter what, they will want him.'

*I look over at the subject who looks from me to Nathan and back again*

'ok thanks dave'
*I go to the patrol car & pop the trunk, I walk to the back & get the medical bag & go back to the female*
*I did thru the bag & hand her some gauze bandages to put on a couple of scratchs that are bleeding*
'Sir did you touch your wife at all he replies no'
*I walk over to the male & push him forward to look at his fingernails*
'Sir if you did not touch her than why do you have skin & blood under your fingernails?, male states that he never touched her'
'Officer Lafferty, answer me a question how does a man who has no scratches that are visible end up with skin particles & blood under his fingernails? huh interesting'

*I walk over to the guy and make sure that my weapon is turned away from him*

'Sir, just come clean with us. It will make everything a lot easier'

*I look over at Lidner to make sure he is doing ok.*

*I look at the male*
I read the male his miranda rights as according to state law

'Sir lets put it this way, I arrest you for the warrants, at which point I will have the nurse at the jail take a sample of the blood & skin cells that are under your fingernails & have her compare them to your wifes blood. Now if you say you did not touch her than that should be your blood & not hers, or you can save us all the time we have spent & are going to spend in the future if you just tell us the truth'

male replies: ok so I hit her in the head & even choked her, she just won't leave me alone about when I start to drink after work, why can't a guy have a drink after work at the start of his weekend huh.

'ok sir that is all we needed to know. Sir you are under arrest for domestic assault 2nd degree, & for outstanding warrants for your arrest'

*I help the man up & walk him to linder's car & place him in the back of the patrol car & secure it*
*I walk back to dave*
'well that was a good bluff, lol'

'Alright, well I guess we will transport him'

*I walk the guy over and place him in the back of our patrol unit*

'Lidner, do you need us to stay or are you good?'

*I say as I sit in the passenger seat and turn off the EAT and place my hat back on the dash*

'Uhhh I guess im ok.'
*I say walking over to the curb, and sitting down on it and take my hat off.

'ok well we are going to take this guy off'
*I walk over to the female*
'Mam you will need to file for order of protection against your husband, this officer will advise you how to do so, try to have a better night'
*I walk to my patrol car & get in. I pick up the mic & key up*
"PC-8 dispatch show 1 under arrest & us transporting 1 male to Jail for PC-8"
*I place the car in drive & drive to the jail*

"PC-8 dispatch show us out at complex detention"
*I get the male out of the car & 1 of the booking officers is there to take custody of him*
'he will be on a 24 hr hold at minimum for domestic assault 2nd degree for physical abuse with hands, you will need to get the nurse to take a sample of blood & skin particles for evidence, & he has some warrants out of another jurisdiction,
booking officer: ok'
*I walk into the patrol break room & wash my hands & grab a soda from the vending machine & sit down in a chair*
I see dave walk into the break room.
'dave want a soda my treat?, you know when I started my career with my first agency the only thing I wanted to do was put away scum bags like that guy or people that hurt children, it gets old fast, so I got a job working with the highway patrol back in my state where I grew up, then I came here, wow!!! never a dull moment huh?'
*I look at dave with a smile *

*I look at Nathan and laugh*

'Yeah, your telling me. Recently we have seem to have an increase in violent crimes'

*I hear the broadcast of the shooting at the Fair*

'See what I mean'

*I get up from my seat and buy another coke*

'Hey, by the way thanks for the coke'

*I think for a minute*

'Are you hungry? If you want we can go get a bite to eat. My treat'

*I say with a slight chuckle*

*I get in PC-7, and pull out of the complex, waving to the cadet watching the gate. I get my radio scanning ERT's Fire/EMS channels, as well as ERT Police dispatch and car-to-car, and Trulit channels, I then grab my mic*

"COPA, PC-7, show me on patrol in downtown Trulit, be advised I do have an ear to the radio in case police are needed at State Fair Complex, I will be first due unit."

*I drive into Trulit, and hook a U-Turn in the 7-11 parking lot on Midtown Road, and park my car pointing out of the driveway toward Brigus Road. I go in and get a pack of gum, a pepperoni stick, and a Rockstar, then return to my unit*

*I adjust the screen on my EAT, and pull up the data stream from the fair shooting, and see that no units have rolled yet. I reach for the volume knob on the radio, and turn it up another notch*

*I see a PEMS ambulance pull out in front of my patrol car and come towards the woman and checks her out, and clears her to stay. I approach the woman.
'Mamn, do you want to stay here, or do you want to go stay somewhere else?'
'Uhh, I-I-I'm ok here.;
'Ok Miss, Sorry for what happend today, you want me to explain what you can do to keep him from doing this to you again?'
'Uhh Sure.'
'You can file a protection order with the city, and if he comes near you, you can call the police and he will be arrested for violating it.'
'Uh, yea ok Ill do that.'
*I tip the hat to the woman, and look back at my patrol car and see the ambulance has pulled away, already returning to a nearby hospital. I walk back to my PC and take my hat off and set it in the passenger's seat and get in it. I turn off the red and blue lights and turn the amber off when I pull into traffic, I then pick up the radio from the center console and say.
"PC-4, Available, Enroute to the ERT Complex."
*I type a few things into the EAT, and begin the drive back to the complex.
--15 minutes later.--
*I pull into the parking area for ERT PD vehicles and park my patrol car in its designated parking spot. I then turn it off, open the driver's side door and press the lock button on it, leaving my hat inside, and use my portable radio and say.
"PC-4 Out of Service."
*And walk towards a computer to type up my report.

((doubple posting since no one has, and im bored here.))
*I turn left onto the trulit interpass and then right on Austin Terr. I then notice someone jump on a red bike with another kid running behind him, as the red bike ducks down a nearby alley I flip the lights on my car on and go around to block the exit on the otherside of the alleyway. As I do that I pick up my radio from the center console.
"PC-4, Possible Bike Theft, Red Bike, near Austin Ave. Heading West down an Alley"
*I pull up and block the exit for the bike and hear a loud thump and see the kid ran into the rear fender of my vehicle, I step out of my patrol car. And see the kid chasing him at the other end of the alley, laughing walking towards me. I look down at the kid, about 15.
'Is this your bike?'
'Uhhh N-Yes, Yes it is my bike.'
'Okay, now, if I dialed your parents, would the agree with me?'
'Mhm...'
*I look up and see the other kid getting closer and look at him.
'This your bike?'
'Yea, he just got up on it and took off.'
'Okay.'
*I look at both of them.
'I need your parent's phone numbers.'
*I look at the kid who was riding the bike.
'Okay you're first.'

*I punch the numbers into my phone and look back at the kid.
'What is your name?'
'Darius.'
'Darius What?'
'Smith.'

*I press the talk button on my phone and listen to it ringing then a lot of static

*Seeing that units have finally rolled to the state fair complex, I decide to go into orbit around the Trulit area. I get the car going, and pull out of the 7-11. I grab the radio mic*

"COPA, PC-7, I am available by radio in Trulit, circling the area via main streets"

*After saying that, I hear Lidner on the radio about the bike theft he's got, I'm getting bored, so I call Lidner up*

"PC-4 from PC-7, be advised I have an ear to your transmissions, and am available for the assist if need be"

*I watch the kid as the phone rings. I then get a this phone number is not in use alert, and look down at the kid then away, then back and see he is running away.
"7, Need Assitance, foot pursuit, Kid is heading north on Donovans Terr."
*I look at the other kid.
'Stay here.'
*I begin running after the kid.

*I hit the lights, and start going code 2*

"I copy you 4, I am about to turn onto Donovans Terrace from the Interpass, headed Northbound, can you relay description please?"

*I look up for a street sign and see the street name Creston.
"Make a left on, check for the kid at my pc."
*I begin jogging, running out of energy/breath to continue.
'Stop Police!'

*I still have the radio mic clutched in my hand*

"Copy that 4, heading for number 2 subject at your PC on Creston"

*I swing a left on Creston, and see the director bar in Lidner's back window, so I pull up behind his unit, and hit my own director bar. I put the car in park, spotlight the kid, and put on my traffic vest before I get out*

'Hey, whats going on here, man?'

My bike got stolen by that other dude, your partner took off after him on foot

'Yeah, I'm aware of that. So did he just bum-rush you and grab your bike while you were down?'

That's pretty much how it went down, yeah

'OK, let me radio to my partner and see what's going on around the corner. Why don't you have a seat on the curb in front of the first patrol car for me, please'

*I grab my shoulder mic and hit the PTT button*

"PC-4 portable from PC-7 portable, what is your status?"

*I turn into an alleyway, ignoring the radio transmission for the time being, as if I talk I wont be able to keep up with the kid. I jump a few fences after the kid and he begins getting on his bike. I grab the kid and gently, but quickly place him on the ground. I gently put my knee into his back so he wont run and grab the cuffs from behind me and put them tightly on the kid. I then pull him up by the cuffs and begin walking him back to where we were. I lean my head over and push the button on the side of the radio.
"PC-4, Suspect in custody, coming back to your 20."
*I then begin taking a short cut through an alleyway back towards Stone.
-A Few Minutes Later-
*I get to my patrol car and sit the kid on the curb.

*I turn and look over at the victim*

'Sounds like my partner got him'

*I pick the kid up.
'Ok, now you're going to the detention center.'
'So?'
'Ok.'
*I help the kid up and put him in the back of my police vehicle and shut the door.
'These streets just keep getting worse huh?'

*I look over at Don*

'Yeah, some of these kids don't stand a chance. By the way, I'm Jake Stone, I don't believe we've met'

*I extend my hand for a shake*

'What say we get a report going and let this other kid get moving on home'

as I am sitting there in the break room
*I take a deep breath*, 'well I suppose we should get back out on the road'
*I reach for my mic*
"PC-8 dispatch, inservice"

*Dave & I get back into the patrol car & head out*
my cell phone rings
*I check my cell phone & realize my wife sent me a text message I read it & close it*
'alright time for dinner, we are having bbq at my house'
*I drive to my residence*
we arrive at my residence & park in the driveway.
*we exit the patrol car & go inside the residence*

'Alright, sounds good'

*I pull out my phone and play angry birds until we arrive at McIntyre's house*

*we walk back out to the patrol car & get in*

'well that was a good dinner, smoked ham, grilled ranch potatoes, & corn on the cob'

we go up to Manu rd just west of Lesters Ln
*I pull off & get out with the portable laser gun & start checking speeds*

'Yeah, it wasn't bad.'

*I say as I take a swig from my coke*

*As we sit there checking speeds I hear PPD get reports of a hold-up alarm at pawn shop*

'Were about five blocks away. Want to go check it out?'

'Sure'

*I get back into the car & place the car in drive*

"PC-8 dispatch, responding to the hold up alarm code 2"

*I spin the car around, & head towards the pawn shop*

*I turn the lights off right as we are turning the corner thru the intersection light, I pull just past the pawn shop & place the car in park*
'hey dave it looks like it may be a false alarm, the clerk looks like he is doing business with the female at the counter'
"PC-8 dispatch onscene"
*I exit the patrol car & go up towards the side of the building next to the glass to get a better look*

*As we pull up I notice the clerk doing business with the female as well*

'Yeah, not a surprise. We seem to get a lot of false alarms out here'

*I go up with McIntyre and proceed to walk around back and check the back door*

'I'll check the back door'

*I notice a PPD officer pull up*

'Have the PPD officer go with you and I will check the back'

'Ok'
'hey ppd officer, come with me we are going to go inside it looks like a false alarm'

*myself & ppd officer enter thru the front of the business & walk up to the counter*
I notice everything appears to be fine.

'sir everything fine?
clerk: yes, why do you ask?
me: we recieved a hold up alarm from this business.
clerk: no my 3 year old son is down here behind the counter playing he must have hit it, I am sorry.
me: ok no problem'

I see the 3 year old little boy playing behind the counter with his cars.
"1158 to 1117, false alarm, child accidental trip"
"1158 dispatch place all units inservice confirmed accidental trip by 3 yr old male playing with cars behind the counter"

*I walk back out & see dave coming from around the back, I unlock the the car & hop in*

*I walk back to the car and get in*

'Well, lets try this again'

*I pull out my phone and begin to text a couple people*

'Don Lidner, And yes I think we should do that.'
*I take out a police report form and walk over to the kid.
'Ok, can you tell me what happend?'
*I write down what he says as he tells me.

*I drive back to Manu Rd just west of Lesters Lane & pull over. Once again I get out with the portable laser gun for speed checks & start checking speeds.*


I see a blue vehicle traveling wb on Manu Rd.

*I check a speeder at 47 mph in a 35 mph, I make a motion for the driver to slow down*

I couple of minutes later I witness a White Chevy 1500 truck traveling eb on Manu Rd swerving

*I check his speed at 55 mph in a 35 mph, I re-enter the patrol car & place the vehicle in drive*

*I catch up to the vehicle & activate my emergency lights & follow for a couple of blocks*

after no response for a couple of blocks, *I pick up the radio mic & key up*

"PC-8 dispatch, failure to yield, traveling eb on Lesters Lane just east of Manu Rd, PC is Speed & Lane violation, license registration 812276 Illinois registration on white chevy 1500 truck 3 occupants"


*I look at dave*

'Dave I think these are foreign subjects'

finally the vehicle stops at Lesters Lane & Trulit Rd

"PC-8 dispatch, suspect vehicle stopped at Lesters Lane & Trulit Rd"

*I exit the patrol car & walk up to the drivers window*

'Sir do you understand when the lights come on you pull over?
driver: sorry sir, I am from germany I am not accustomed to your laws yet.
well is everything ok?
driver: yeah everything is fine, my middle seat passenger was sick she was um throwing up?
ok well does she need an ambulance?
driver: um no she is pregnants um she have baby.
ok well slow down & please pay attention to the road...
driver: ok... thank you sir...'

'well I was not about to hang them up any longer, I do not do vomit & the smell oh my god, whew...'
