Arson Attempt

*i grab the cross lay and advance inside the opening i cut*
"Hannahan im inside, and not incountering much fire i am attemting to meet up with the Crew from P-11 i could use you in here with me"

*radios "PC-1 returning" lights a cigarette and begins his way back to the warehouse.

"All units at warehouse stay there unless told by an TAC officer or the Police OSC.

Antoine, there will be no smoking on any of my scenes by any of our officers.

Jackson and Antoine, stack up behind me, and I'll be behind Bridwell. We go on his count."

( i run over and extinguish antoine's cigarette, lol just kidding)

" Hannahan, did you want me to continue with the k- 12 or?"

((the hole in the rof is cut))

'Copy.' I replied, slightly annoyed. All we had to protect us was our body armour and our weapons, and they weren't definitely going to protect us. I was scared, but what police officer wasn't on duty. Shotgun loaded, pistol loaded, just in case, we were ready, ready to go in, ready to see what would unfold, not prepared for all eventualities, but who is. 'Nearly ready sir?' I asked, still annoyed, still ready. 'Wait.' I grabbed my radio. "PC-2 to Dispatch can you get a Security unit to Warehouse Two to pick up some evidence, over." Now, as the reality of what could be behind the door dawned on me, I swallowed hard. What if my first job, was my last.

*Unwillingly throws his cigarette on the floor and smuthers it with his shoe and continues.

"10-4 were moving in"

*Gets on radio*

"All Units be advised we are entering the building"

*I raise my primary and turn the Tactical light*

"Ill take point, check your corners and move slowly, ROE is defensive only"

*I move through the door into the darkness, checking the floor for trip wires as I move forward*

*Grabs his flashlight and unholsters his sidearm, and clicks the flashlight on as he sees TAC beginning the entry.

*Crosses his arms, using the arm with the flashlight to steady they arm with the weapon.

* I arrive back on scene with ALS-1. I get up and pat Zack on the back.
'Good work on that one. Nice, quick and clean intubation. Think I'll head over to BLS and get some water.'
* With a grunt I get what gear is mine, walk over to the EDRC and put it in the back.
"EDRC to COPA, back on scene."
* I walk over to BLS-1, and jump in the back.
'Hey McGuire, think I may need some rehab now.' * I say with a tired smile, and grab a bottle of water. The adrenaline and smoke from the fire has my mouth feeling like it's filled with ash. I drink half the bottle in one go, and sigh contently.
'Ah, I needed that. This day got a lot more exciting than I thought it would be.'

( yea, but he was gonna send me to do something and then stopped)

'Ok, Tim, go help Botfish. He's in the rear of the building.'
*I put my hand on my shoulder radio and radio to Bruce.*
"Bruce you need help with another line or you need help with yours?"
*I depress the radio on my shoulder. and prepare myself mentally for going in.*
'Ok, its going to be hotter in there then out here.....got it.'I think to myself.*

'10-4' I replied quietly to Bridwell, following him through the door, checked left, right, and then moved forward, shotgun raised in front of me, ready, just in case. It was dark inside, many places to hide, the walkway above a perfect place to ambush us from. The light coming from Blanc's flashlight was the main thing allowing us to see, for my shotgun to be any use, I needed two hands, ruling out using my flashlight. 'Nothing yet, my guess is they'd be up on the walkways.' I muttered, hoping the others could hear me as we moved up.

*Flashes the light across the inside of the warehouse as he enters behind Officer Jackson.
*Hears Jackson mumble to himself, and cannot make out anything except walkways.

"I just dont want to be in here by my self if something goes wrong or i get lost. if you want you can bring another line in here."
*i kneal down on top of my line. and spray some spot fires out while waiting for Hannahan*

*I hear something, a soft breathing, I give the hold command to the officers behind me*

"were not alone in here, be alert."

*I start to move again trying to locate the source*

'Sir, wait a second, just wait.' I stopped, hearing soft footsteps nearby, behind us, in front, to the left. Circling us, what was he doing, trying to leave, or hurt us. I tried to grip my shotgun in one hand, digging the butt into my right shoulder as I fumbled for my flashlight. I felt the cold metal and then grabbed it, clicking it on as I brought it up to check around me. Crates all around, this would be hard, to find a person in here normally would be a nightmare. This would be like searching for a needle in two haystacks. I stopped and turned around quickly, nothing. 'Sir, we need lighting in here, it's impossible to see much further than three, four metres.'

**As the search continues, I see the back-area defense team come up to where I am. I do a head count (there's only two others).**

'Alright, get in your vehicles and follow me. It's a short drive; lets just be sure it's under control.'

**Corpral Linda and Officer Stabler get in their respective vehicles, as I get into the RRT and begin the quick drive to the Country Club.**

'Got it Botfish, I'm on my way.'
*I pull my line over by the truck, put it down, and head over to Botfish. I grip the hose tightly.*
'Alright I'm ready!'

*I grab my radio while picking my line back up.*
"10-4 Bruce, I'm coming in... did you make any left or right turns? I might not be able to see well."
*I turn on my flashlight and walk into the cramped hole feeling the walls nervously for Bruce.*
'Bruce!'
*I say through my mask not making too much noise through the smoke. The smoke then clears up and I become able to see well. I still stay crawling on the floor just in case as my heart starts to race.*
'Bruce, were are ya man!'

'Im right here!'
"Hannahan follow my line back."
*i shut the line down and wait for Hannahan*

* I go to the rear of the building and find botfish with the 2 1/2 line, I go behind him and back him up*

' I gotcha' I say to him

*I feel on the ground and find the nearly hidden line on the floor with a trail of water on it.*
'Got it! I'm coming.'
*I find Bruce and get up next to him. I smile and pat his back.*
'Alright. Lets go. I'll follow you.'

*i continue to craw along till i come upon fire*
'Alright we got fire'
*i open my nozzle up to a 30 degree fog and begin dosing the flames*

"Thanks, you did a good job too Kaizer"
I get in the ambulance and wait for any more victims to show up

'This is what I've been whatin' for.'
*I kneel down on my soft,comfy, knee pads and slowly open my nozzle. As it slightly knocks me back, I feel a feeling of joy as the fire goes down in front of me. After a while, I see it's working and decide to move up just a bit.*

*as me and Hannahan make progress i move forward*
'alright this ones out lets keep moving i think i see p-11s crews lights ahead'

'Let's do this!'
*I turn on the hose to full*

"Entry teams be aware, we've got scene lighting in Squad one you can bring it and set up. If memeory serves correct, there should be a pack used by HRES that is totally portable and provides four high powered floodlights."

'Got it.'
*I stay on bruces back by keeping my hand on his back to keep track of him.*
'I see some lights up ahead. They're going right. Lets go left.'
*I tug on the line as it gets stuck on some corner. It gives way and I stay on Bruce's SCBA tank.*

*i keep moving forward. and spraying the flames and douseing them*
'weve almost got it Hannahan'

'Yup, I'm getting me some beer after this haha.'
*I kneel down again and pull the nozzle handle back. I anxiously help sweep down the blaze that Beard is fighting. I then look around and see an opening. It was the hole that was cut earlier in the back.*
'Hey Bruce,' I say whilst spraying, 'just in case something happens, that'll be our way out ok?'
*I put my attention back on the fire and continue spraying.*

'sounds good to me'
*i move in knocking the fire down. sudunly it flashes up and i fall backward getting back up i open my nozzle and start making an attack on the fire*

"Negative dc, don't want to give our position away."

*just then I see the reflection off of something moving ahead*

'I got visual 9' o clock'

*Standing on the Ladder I see the flash*
"Hutchison to Hannahan or Beard, are you alright, I just saw a flash, and let me know if Im soaking you."
I turn my nozzle to try and hit the fire.

*i grab the mic*
"no your good, and yeah were all right"
*i keep the line on the fire*

**Looking through the T.I.C, i see body heat**
"Hey, we found someone over here."

**Just then, a chunk of the metal walkway collapses, and falls on top of the human figure**

"Man down, advise ALS"

**We start moving towards the victim, and about 10 feet away, his weapon is on the ground, and the person isn't moving.**

**We approach, and he's still not moving, and there's a puddle of blood as the patient's lying prone, a puddle of blood coming from an unknown area.**

**We go ahead and move the piece of metal, and get the patient out of the building, and begin treating him**
"Can we get an ALS ambulance over here?"

"I'll have a team waiting at the front entrance."

Since I'm done with helping out Kaizer I put my SCBA back on and grab a line off the squad and move in to help out the pumper crews.

"Hannahan to Hutchison, I'm good.'"
*I get up, regain my composure, and look over seeing the metal walkway down. My mouth opens wide and I look back at the fire, spraying down the rest. As visbility soon gets better, I see Bruce better and start to see the P-11 guys evacuate the victim.*
'Bruce, you alright?'
*I move forward and keep searching the warehouse.*
'Keep your eyes open. Lets go.'

*I hear the call for als, grab the medic kit of the bumper of the Ladder and head toward Lt. Garica*
"Hutchison to Garica, I'm enroute, can you advise if pt. is breathing and/or has a pluse?"

"Copy, we'll go ahead and get him back there."
"Galligano, get me a backboard, Van Der Water, get me my drug box and monitor."

**I begin assessing the patient.
Vitals: Pulse : 110 BP : 130/100 eyes : Right eye PERL, left blown Respirations : 20 L.O.C : Unresponsive ; skins : cool, pale, clammy with bleeding from his left forearm.**

*Apply direct pressure to the bleeding and have Van Der Water open the airway with a jaw thrust while holding c-spine until we can get him moved to the medical team*

*They come back with the stuff, and I put a pressure gauze on the bleeding, start an I.V and we get him on a backboard*
"We have a pulse and vitals, relaying them to you now." *I relay the information to Hutchinson*
"We'll meet you with a medical team at the entrance"
(I know I'm god modding, but my engine crew isn't even active, so it's the only way to get it done.)

*I find a bit of fire smokdering in the corner and kick it out with my boot.*
'Alright... this side of the building is done.'
"Ladder 1 to Squad 1 and Pumper 11. How is your fire search going? Are all fires extinguished as far as you can see?"
*Tired, I let my arm go and curse at the fact I still have to put this line away. I find the will to move on and move forward a bit.*

*I get to the front door, get my medic bag set down and wait for the medical team to arrive.*
"Hutchison to Garica, Standing by at the front door, can you advise as to the pt.'s gag reflex, and do you have a strip?"

"I got a door closed here, I'm going to check it then we make one final sweep, then it's overhaul time." I say and break open the door. Nothing. I turn around and about 20 seconds later the room bursts into flames. "I have a back draft explosion in one of the rooms in the far corner." I say and start to extinguish the flames.

(Forgot, lol)
*I drop an OPA to keep it open, no gag reflex present*
"Dropped an OPA, patient has no gag reflex"

*I hear the boom and I almost fall over. I see abunch of smoke coming from behind me and I turn around seeing a black smoke. In horror and frustration, I accidentally drop my line, pick it back up then drag it back towards the room on fire. It's at the other side of the warehouse so it'll take me some time to get over there. I look at Bruce and we both start to jog over to the room on fire. I grab my radio with my free hand and press the button.*
"Ladder 1 to COPA, explosion on the far left side of the building! Squad 1, report in for me. You guys alright?"
*I use my adrenaline to make it over near the room but is seperated by the metal walkway.*
'Let's go under Bruce, you first.'
*I wave my hand under the beam signing to Bruce to go.*

((Truck shouldn't be doing any interior, truck is vent and stick ops, as well as overhaul assist.))
**I hear the radio transmission**
"P-11 - L-1, my crew will assist and make entry to attack that fire."

(Vented and stick ops help put out the fire for a while. Didn't have enough people to mann the stick (Hutchison was called away) and some people needed our help inside. Tim was with Botfish and Bruce and I came to help with interior. Why have hoses if we can't use 'em haha. But that's just my way of thinking.)
"10-4. Pumper 11. We'll be outside."
'Alright Bruce, lets wrap it up here. I guess Pumper 11 will check this side of the building with their TIC's. When you get out, I need you to back me up with your line. I'm going to vent and put on the surround lights.'
"Ladder 1 to Tim Matthews. What's your location?"
*I back up with my line and go out the way I came. The minute I go out, I look down and notice my SCBA needs changing. I put my line down next to the ladder, take off my SCBA then put on my new one. I then go to the ladder and get a cool cup of water. After, I go to the drivers side of the ladder and turn on the Ladder's scene lights. I then put my mask back on and grab the last k12 and a TIC out of the compartment. I go to the side of the building and wait for Bruce.*
'I really have to go to Dougal after this.'I say to myself.
"Ladder 1 to Squad 1, we're venting the room for you from the back. Visibility should be better for you after that."

(No prob.)
*I set up for a 12 lead EKG, get out my intubation equipment and wait for Lt. Garica.*
"Hutchison to Garcia, Copy your transmission, once you get out here I'll go a head and intubate, I'll also need some extra hands for an EKG."
