Arson Attempt

'Yeah, good so far. ALS is off with somebody who attempted to go through the road block, gun shot wound to the shoulder after officers fired at him. They've determined he wasn't a threat though. How's your search been going?'

(I never said I was on the search team at any time in my posts)

'What the hell, are people going crazy from the weather or something? I don't know about the search, I've just arrived as you can see and I haven't gotten a lot of info yet. The radio is very busy as you surely can hear, so I have missed something of whats going on. I heard the search team started walking not too long ago though... Hey, you guys wouldn't have any coffee on the bus with you?'

*I pick up a fire extinguisher just in case and and EMT bag and walk toward the back of the warehouse.*

"Hannahan im doing good up here set the k12 at the bottom of the ladder so its ready"
*i look around as i spray through the window*
"Hannahan whats your take of bringing a duce and a half up here with me as well as the cannon. i can covor more area. i feel fine with it, but its your call"

'Sounds good to me...are you sure you can handle that? I'll bring it up to you.'
*I stretch a 2 1/2 inch line from the Ladder and hook it up to the pump not letting water flow yet. I grab an adapter and hook a small cannon to the end of it. I then hoist it over my shouder, check my air, then climb onto the steps on the back of the Ladder and then start my way up the Ladder. When I get to Bruce, I pat him on the back.*
'Keep this under you. if you feel it sliiping or need to get down, let me or Tim know. scream it over the radio if it helps. Be careful.'
*As I make my way back down, I catch a glimpse inside the wareouse and prepare my report in my mind. I get onto the ground and grab my radio in my hand, press the push to talk button and start talking.*
"Ladder one to COPA it appears that at least half of the warehouse is still burning. The half closest to us is just smoke and has been extinguished. No other dangers to report. Also, what's the location of BLS-1 for rehab?"

*Sees Officer Jackson searching the woods, I decide to search the nearby alleys looking in dumpters and such

((I requested the squad because that's their job, rescue, so I was actually putting the call to the whole team. Everyone is at least EMT cleared through COPA. I think there are two FF's, SAR and Raven on that team))
((That wasn't my point. My point is, an EMT is very basic, a medic can do a lot more in treatment, that's why I was advising for a medic for treatment.))

I get out of the ambulance and then I pour out some coffee and hand it to Halls. "COPA ALS 1 at the scene with Kaizer" I say into the radio

**Stabler and I move back to where Davis is, keeping a slight distance from the warehouse - enough to avoid excessive heat from the fire while still protecting the rear door.**

"We've secured the entrypoint; fire can move in for search and rescue of the victim."

*While opening a dumpster finds a black hat.
"This is PC-1, I got a black hat over here in the dumpster, suspect, or suspects may be trying to change his or her appearance."

'Gotcha.'
*I charge the line and watch as the line inflates and booms out of the cannon onto the fire.*
"Ladder 1 to Pumper 11, do you need assistance cutting the wall out? I could send you one of my guys."
*I see the operation is going somewhat smoothly and walk around the ladder, get the k12, and set it in front of the bumper. I put a concrete cutting blade on it from the compartment and make sure it works right by whirring it up a few times. I set it down and watch as everyone does there job.*
"Ladder one to COPA, we now have two lines spraying into the building. Pumper 11 should be good for entry as long as they don't cut near the rear side of the warehouse."
"Ladder one to Pumper 11, do not cut in the rear section of the warehouse. If you cut a hole, make sure it's the front section of the side of the building. Fire is still prevelant on the rear half of the warehouse K."
*I put my mic down back on my shoulder and wait for the assurance that anyone had heard me.*

"Copy that Ladder 1, Pumper, advised you are cleared for entry, approach as seen fit.

*I get off the Ladder, with my S.C.B.A. on and the mask hanging from my neck, with the ALS kit one hand and the O2 cylinder in the other. I walk over to Lt. Hannahan at the bumber and set up our ALS equipment. I then go to rear of the truck and grab the RIT trap and lay that out near the front bumper of the Ladder.*

"Hutchison to Command, RIT has been established at Ladder 1."

((I meant the maintenance so I could know if the catwalks were still good i don't mean to sound like a smartass, it's information so I know what I'm doing, because I was going to use the catwalks for something.))

*I grab the saw off of Ladder 1's bumpper and walk over to Garcia.*

* I jump out of ALS-1 as it comes to a halt, bringing my coffee cup, and walk over to Halls and McGuire.
'Hey Halls, long time no see.' I say with a smile.
'That guy made it, probably thanks to a quick response, and short way to hospital. If it had taken us any longer to get him to a hospital...' My voice trails off and I shrug.
'Anyway, any news from the front lines? Have they found the missing security guard yet?'

"We're cutting through the wall right over here, if we can make a small hole to start off with to get some water inside, then we can cut a large enough hole for us to fit through, that way we won't get as much heat while we cut too."

'Bruce, come down,change out your pack, and get some water from BLS-1. Tim, after Bruce comes down, you go up. Gotta have you doin' somethin'.'
*I walk over to the RIT trap without taking my eyes off Bruce and the fire and radio to Bruce.I grab my mic slowly, push the button, wait a second, and start talking.*
"Bruce, I need you over here with me since Hutchison is gone with the Squad after you get water. You're acting RIT with me until he comes back. Don't forget to get your vitals taken."
*I wait for Bruce and Tim patiently and stay at the trap waiting for Bruce to come off of the ladder.*

*i hear Hannahan and climb down the ladder. walk over to the side of the ladder and change out my bottle. then walk over to BLS 1 and wait for McGuire to take my vitals*
"Hannahan im in Rehab be out in a few"

'Guys, my air is running out I have to go!'
*I walk over to the Squad and switch my air bottles*

*Gets on radio*

"Dispatch?? Can I get a name for the person who called this in, Im gonna need to ask em a few questions."

"PC-2 here, requesting back-up, preparing to enter a Warehouse, possibility of suspects inside, possibility they are armed." I clicked off the radio, and clipped my flashlight to my belt, and raised my shotgun, ready to open the door into the warehouse.

"The Fort Basio has their full SAR team deployed, including a chopper (which will be in the air in 25 minutes, they take time to prep for launch) and k9 units. The call was an automatic alarm, and my point of contact is the Area Security Chief, Brad Lake, retired USMC General.

*I take the 2 1/2 line down and leave it charged, laying on the ground, clip on my regulator for my scba and climb to the tip of the ladder and start moving the nozzle around hitting the back part of the warehouse*

*i come out of rehab and neal on the RIT mat and wait for orders*

*I see Beard in the BLS ambulance, and I hear on the fire ground channel he is coming for rehab.*

'Hey Bruce, how are you?'

*I get the stethoscope and BP cuff out of the jumpbag and take blood pressure.*

'120/80, that's good.'

*I listen to his breathing and watch his breathing*

'Breathing sounds good.'

*I pick up his arm and take a pulse*

'Pulse 140. I'm just going to put the Pulse oximeter on your finger, just hang tight, it needs to stay on for a few seconds.'

*I pinch it open and put it on the tip of his finger. I beeps, and I look at it.*

'Alright, that's 98 and 83. Everything is perfect with you. Your all good to go back out there, I'd just recommend you stay here for a few minutes in the air conditioned ambulance and have a water, and you can go back out there whenever you're ready.'

*I take a pocket knife out of my pocket, and cut open the plastic wrapper off the pack of water bottles, then hand one to Beard. I get out a chart, and right down Beard's vitals and information.

( yea but still, RIT should be at least 5, I know we dont have the manpower for that, but then I think we should just figure we have one already set up for us)

((In a case like this, I think it would be best for Squad to attempt rescue, as that's their job, ladder to do exterior and be ready for RIT and pumper to tackle the fire. Only one ladder unit needs to be on the ladder, the rest can be with RIT, and monitor standing lines, which are hoses that are unmanned, just spraying water into open windows or whatever to spray water.))

* I climb down the ladder and see hutchinson heading up, and walk over to rehab*

(Two in two out. I know there isn't two in but there are two out and I think we have enough for RIT here. Also, I only have two guys :Tim and Bruce, that are close and Hutchison is venting on the side of the building. Tim is on the ladder, Bruce is with me.)
"RIT will be canceled momentarily due to understaffing."
'Alright Tim, go ahead. Hurry back. Hutchison, right after you're done venting, you're gonna be on RIT. Bruce, get back up on the ladder. Tell me what it looks like up there.'
*I sigh in frustration through my mask and see that I'm also running low. I decide to wait for Tim or Hutchison to come back so I could rehab at BLS-1.*

"Sir, I'm requesting entry to the empty warehouses, they could be hiding in there." I was slightly annoyed that my idea had been misunderstood, but continued to prepare to enter.

"pC-2, standby, ill head up there with your."

*while Matthews is checking stableization i grab the 2 1/2 inch and head back up the ladder with it and spray it through a different hole and open the cannon on the ladder to a 30 degree fog*

"PC-1 to PC-2 Im heading that way now, are there multiple entrances to that warehouse?"
*Jogs over to PC-2s location.

"Unsure about number of entries to the building PC-1. We'll have to breach via one door and then search the area. Suggest two officers breach with shotguns, and another follows with a flashlight to illuminate the area until we get some lighting on inside?" I spoke, half to Sergeant Libor and half into the radio, so Blanc could understand our plan, unless it was overruled by superiors.

"Roger, I dont have my shotgun, PC-2 and PC-6 do you have shotgun on ya?"
*Finds PC-2 and walks up to him.
