*I hand Floan the Cathetir and I reach into the OB kit and grab out two clips. I put one 6 inches away from the mom's vagina and the other roughly 6 in from the infant girl. I think about Sam now and how I haven't seen her for two whole days since I started this shift. I realize now just how much I miss her.

* I stand up and let Dona nd Jack load her onto the Stretcher. *

' Marie I gotta start an IV on ya just to keep ur fluids up after that experience lol. lets get the left arm '

* I start a quick IV of Ringers starting at 125ml. *

' Jack if she starts to gbet really sleepy then open it to 200 bu totherwise DO NOT deliver that placenta let the ER do that. Don, you guys are cleared to roll Code to the ETC. We'll follow up behind u and Jack. '

* We cover the Patient and her baby wth a blanket and start to roll them to the ambulance. The crowd begins to Ahh and Ohh at the new baby and a few clap an cheer. I look back at Nick. *

' Soo Nick how was your 1st shift with the Engine lolol. '

*I walk alongside the stretcher with the P-11 Crew.
'Sorry for dragging yall to another call today.'
*I open the 2 back doors and help them lift the stretcher up into the rear of the ambulance.

' Hey we dont mind. congrats on the delivery Don. U did good. '

* As the stretcher gets loaded into the ambulance I realize that Jack drove his POV to the scene. *

' Crap there is nobody to drive Jack's POV back to the firehouse if he rides along. Well Jack u can clear and head home. I'll ride in the back with Marie and the baby. Casey Pick me up at the ETC. Colwell Why dont u ride with me too, get some experience with this. Nick u and Casey take the Engine to the Hospital and Pick me up there if u would please. '

* I climb aboard and start to look over the baby and the Mother while Colwell jumps in as well. *

" COPA.....Pump-11 wil be doing a Paramedic Follow-up to ETC with Medic 2. "

* The back doors close and I hear Don get into the Ambulance.*

' Alright Mr. Lidner Whenever your ready lets go. and yes your still cleared to go Code 3 just keep it steady please sir. '

*I then make my way to the front of the ambulance and take the ambulance out of high idle and put it in drive and set the siren to wail and begin to pick up speed, trying not to take off or stop suddenly.

*I walk back to my ford and shut down the lights. I make sure M2 get off okay before pulling out my phone. I see I have 5 missed texts and two missed calls. I read them, then listen to the voicemails, Sam called twice to make sure I was alright then again to tell me she was heading over to a friends today. I put my Excursion in drive and head into Phoxlind.

*Casey and I get to the parked Pumper.*
(Me)'Alright lets go pick up Lt. and Colwell. Do you want to drive?'
(Casey)' No you can.'
(Me) 'Awesome! First shift and I already get to drive.'
*I put the truck in gear and drive it over to Floan and Colwel.*
(Me) 'You boys wan a lift?'

*I hop in the officers seat and put my seatbelt on*

*I notice somebody run out from an alley and wave at me. I pic up the mic.*

"M5 to COPA, we'll be out on Long's Lane for a wavedown."

*I pull the truck over to the side and roll down the windows.*

"What's the problem?"

"There's some guy collapsed in that alley! He looks dead!"

"Alright, calm down."

*I flick the emergency lights and director bar on, then go around and get the jump kit. I head down the alley, led by the civvie.*

*As I get up to the guy, I notice that he is pale and sitting up. He is obviously having trouble breathing. I kneel down next to him.*

"Hi, I'm Angus, an EMT. What's the problem."

"Cant......wheeze....breathe. Wheeze. Need....wheeze....help. Wheeze. Need....wheeze....meds.

*I nod. He is obviously not faking it, and listening to his lung sounds only confirms it. I then take his pulse, and note that it is far too rapid to be healthy. I pic up my mic.*

"M-5 to COPA, I need an ALS unit at my location code 3."

" Medic-2 to Medic-5, we are responding from ETC our ETA is 4 minutes. "

* Don pulls out into traffic and picks up speed as the people start to move to the right. *

' wow that is great that the people are actually letting us go, Nothing like california this is great. '

* We locate the street that medic 5 said they were on but I look and look for the Alley and see nothing, we drive up and down the street until I finally look down a LONG alley and see the Ambulance lights. I turn off the Siren and Don pulls into the alley and stops 20 or so feet from the first ambulance. *

" Central Medic 2 is On Scene with Medic 5. "

* I get out and run to the back of the ambulance. I grab the ALS bag as Don grabs the O2 and the Drug box and we walk fast over to Angus and the patient. *

' hey Angus whats going on? '

* I see the patient heavying and having a extremly difficult time breathing. I kneel down next to him and introduce myself. *

' Sir my name is Jamie Im a Paramedic with ERT, How long have u been like this for?. '

' About.....I...Dont...Know.....just...cant.......B..re..ath. '

' Ok dont worry we got u now. Don get him on the Monitor and for god sake lets get him on some o2 please. give him the mask at 100% please. '

* I take the mans BP which I have to take twice because it is so high *

' Angus his Bp is if im correct 190/130 do me a favor and reach into the ALS bag and pull me out a bag of ringers please. '

* I start the IV and attach the bag of ringers. I start it TKO. Don attaches the leads to his chest and starts the Heart Monitor. the rythem suggests Tachycardia. *

' Ok Angus can you also please get the Information from his wallet please, Don can you go to the Drug box and give him 5mg of Procardia. just take the pill, break it and put it under his tongue... that should start to calm him down. '

* I turn back to the patient. *

' OK SIR., We're gonna put something under your tongue but we gotta move this mask just for a second ok. this wont hurt and it should start to calm things down for you a bit. '

* The patient nods his head yes. *

"I got ya, Jamie."

*I fish around in the ALS bag and pull out a bag of Ringers. I hand it to her, then start getting his info.*

"He's Adam Suzinski, lives at 24 Orange Street in Trulit, and has a VA card in here."

* I nod my head yes to what Angus is saying theni turn back to the patient*

' ADAM, Stay with me buddy. HEY ADAM. '

* The patient begins to lose Consiousness. *

' S--T. Angus grab me another bag of Ringers please. '

* Angus gives me a second bag. I start a sencond IV and run it TKO. I take a another set of Vitals. His Pulse is not stabilized and his BP is beginning to lower. *

' Don get his legs raised a bit put a box or something under them, hell anything really to raise them up will be fine. '

' Ok u guys lets get the stretcher over here. Don we'll transport him in our rig since we are parked behind Angus and can be first out. '

*I snatch another bag of Ringers out of the ALS bag.*

"He's not looking good."

*I head to their unit to get the stretcher.*

* As Angus brings over the Stretcher I look back at the patient. *

' OK ADAM. We're gonna transport you now ok????. Ok we're gonna lift you into this stretcher then take you to my Ambulance. I need you to just relax and we'll take care of everything. '

* The patient is still slipping in and out os consciousness. His pulse and BP are now unstable and dropping. I shake my head as I have no idea why he is now tanking when he was stable moments before. *

' Don once we get him in lets get another set of Vitals please. I really dont like where this is going. '

* Don and Angus load Adam onto hte stretcher and they take him to the back of my rig. *

*I help Don load him onto the stretcher, then we load him into the rig.*

* I pick up the Drug box and the ALS kit. I walk behind the stretcher to the Ambulance and wait for them to load him into hte back. I get in the back with the patient and situate the EKG monitor to the shelf to the patients right. *

' OK ADAM We're gonna take you to the Hospital now ok just hang on we're gonna be leaving right now. Don Code 3 please. '

" Central, Medic 2. We're transporting 1 patient Code 3 to ETC "

* Don and Angus close the back doors. Don jumps in the front. we start backing out of the Alley. when we back onto the street Don turns the sirens back on and we pick up speed towards the ETC. *

*I close the back doors after Jamie hops up, then I head to my truck and pick of the mic.*

"M-5 to COPA, I'm available in the Phoxlind vicinity."

*I back out of the alley and turn off the emergency lights as I hit the road.*

* As Don pulls out into traffic from the ETC I turn on the lights and Sirens. *
