"Commercial 1 is on patrol, Traffic 1 is with us on training." I say into the radio as I take a left onto the Trulit Interpass, heading to Phoxlind. I click for the map on the EAT, and set a course to Southside Trulit Road, via South-east Phoxlind. "CE-1 to Traffic 1, just follow us, ok?" I say, this time to the unit I hope is following us, and start to gun it down the Interpass, right on the speed limit.

I follow along with the Magnum in front of me, matching speed. "Copy CE-1, I'm on your tail." I check the EAT for the area we're headed, almost expecting to see an incident in progress where we're headed.

As I reach the interpass I indicate left and then pull onto Phoxlind road, speeding up as I see no traffic in front. 'Near the airport now.' I chuckle, seeing a plane overhead preparing to land. I finally reach the right intersection and indicate left again, pulling onto Southside Trulit. The EAT chimes and a voice starts to speak, that of the GPS, so I push down the volume button and slow down as I see the light traffic ahead. At the rear of the column is a old looking trailer, one brake light out, and that usually meant more violations were ahead. "CE-1 to TU-1, pull over the Semi-trailer in front, and then we'll deal with the driver, over." I say into my radio, and pull over, so Steve can overtake.

"Copy that." I press the gas, sliding past Jackson's unit as I position myself behind the semi. As I see traffic clear in the oncoming lane, I pull forward along the side of the trailer and Flip on the lights.

The driver catches view of me in his mirror and nods. I slow down a bit and line up behind him as he pulls to the side of the road. I turn on my traffic bar to the left setting. "COPA, TU-1. Show me on a stop with CE-1 on Southside Trulit outside the airport. Stop is Commercial Semi."

I step out of the vehicle and wait for Charlie.

I nod as he pulls off the stop, and pull up behind Morrigan's Impala. I turn on the rear reds and director bar to the direct left setting, and then the hazard lights. I climb out of the car carefully and pull on my traffic vest as I walk over to Steve. 'Alright, you're running this, tell him why you pulled over, ask for licence, registration and logbook. Okay?' I allow myself a smile and get ready to follow him over.

'You got it.' I throw my vest on, following Jackson's movements to stay visible and I walk up toward the cab, stopping a few feet back.'Afternoon sir, do you mind stepping down with your license, registration, and logs for me please?'

The trucker grunts a bit, being unhappy with the stop, but he steps out with his information. 'Officer, I'm on a tight schedule right now. What seems to be the problem?'

I look over the documents to make sure they're properly assigned, and then back at the man. 'Well sir, you have a left taillight out on your trailer. Looks like you kicked a rock up at some point. Go ahead and have a seat back in the cab, and I'll get back to you shortly.' As he returns, I open the log book where Jackson can plainly see it. 'How many hours is he good for here? It looks like he just got on shift.'

I glance at the log book. 'Correct rest, blahidy blah.' I murmur. 'He's good on rest periods and work hours.' I say, surprised that someone had actually done that. 'Can I borrow his licence, I'll go run it on the EAT, and get back to you in a minute, you go run the vehicle's plate, and check that on your EAT, then we'll go over and talk.' I say, scribbling something in my notepad.

I climb out of the Magnum and head back over to Morrigan, the traffic speeding up as they pass us, realising we're on a stop, not a speed trap. 'Steve, the guy's clear, no problems. You can either warn him and issue a fix-it, or cite him, I'd prefer to warn and fix-it, but it's your call.' I say, waiting for Steve's decision.

I wave toward the truck dismissively. 'Guy's on a schedule, no point in wasting any more of his time. I say we let him go.' Taking Jackson's approval, I return to the cab of the semi and hand the driver his paperwork. 'I'm not gonna ticket you, but that light needs to get fixed. This is a repair citation. You'll need to have us inspect the vehicle to be sure the trailer is properly fixed. Keep an eye on your equipment. And if this was per-existing, you might want to talk to your safety officer about watching this in the company. Stay safe.

The driver thanks me and prepares to leave as I return to Jackson. I grab my lapel mic. "COPA, TU 1. Show me clear on Southside Trulit Road." I look at Jackson after replacing the mic and watching the semi pull out. 'So whaddya think?'

'Not bad, good work.' I smile again and nod. 'Did better than some, not as good as others, but that would probably involved doing something spectacular, not a traffic stop.' I shake my head after rambling. 'Alright, we're gonna go to Trulit, and possibly do a driver training run, unless we meet more bad drivers.' I look up in despair and start to head back to the Magnum. "CE-1 clear from Traffic Stop."

I step into my car and deactivate the lights, signaling onto the road after the Magnum passes me. I find myself wondering what caused his odd reaction, but put it quickly out of my mind. Before I have the chance to ask, the Magnum pulls alongside me with the window down. 'I need to run off, something came up' Jackson calls out.

I look over in concern, but nod dutifully. 'Later Charlie.' It's been a great start to my day, I think to myself as I pull in to a drive through and mark myself as on a meal break on the EAT.

I keep going along Southside Trulit, glancing around and I see the entrance for all the trucks for Freight and such into the Airport. I indicate again and pull over, just out of the way and turn on the rear reds. As I climb out, I spot the guy on the gate, and recognise him from school days, another sod to get out of our area.
'Hey? Danny is it?' I say, smiling at the guy, who recognised me straight away.
'Charlie, what's up? You in the police now?' He asks, surprised, our neighbourhood wasn't renowned for being a cop loving place.
'Yeah. Listen, can you do me a favour, tell me if you've got any big loads coming in later?' I ask, trying to find out when to arrive and get the idiots among truckers.
'Nothing today, all our loads are in.' I nod and mutter something.
'Thanks anyway, I'll call you or something.' I say, not actually going to call him. I climb back in the Magnum, ready to pull back into traffic when I hear a smash. I look in the rearview mirror and see someone climbing out of their car and swearing at another car.
"CE-1 is out on a minor RTC on Southside Trulit, possible back-up needed for angry motorists." I say into my radio, flicking on the rear director and other lights before heading over to the motorists, who are shouting and screaming at each other. 'Hey, let's all calm it down here.' I shout over, trying to assert control, but this lot were angry for no real reason and wouldn't just cool down.
'Shut up.' One of the people yelled, a woman, suddenly I realised that there were three cars, with doors open and people spilling out, two who'd crashed, and one with relatives, young 6'0 relatives who didn't look like they were going to give out sweets.
"CE-1, can I get SUP-2 and TU-1 down here, over." I say into my radio, stepping in, and trying to separate the two groups.

I run back to my car and press the on duty button.

"TU1 to COPA, I'm available to assist. Heading code 2 unless I'm needed elsewhere."

Shortly afterward I pull up to the scene. I position my car on the other side of the accident from CE-1 and turn on my traffic director. "TU-1 is on Scene Southside Trulit with CE-1."

I step out of my car and rush over to help separate the group. 'Hey! Let's calm down here!'

I step between the two groups and my hand goes to my baton just in case. 'Alright, let's just calm it down here people, get back in your cars, and pull over just ahead, and we'll work this out.' I say calmly, hoping people will listen and not act like idiots, but I realise that this lot are all pumped up and aren't just going to calm down. 'Get back in your cars now.' I shout, trying to gain control of the situation

'Do you want to press charges?'

    'Yes'

    *She says sobbing*

*She points to a guy in a brown shirt*

'Ok, why did you hit her?'

'Because she wouldn't listenn to me.'

'That's a great way to get her to listen to you'

    'Well, your under arrest'

*At this point we begin to handcuff the man in the brown shirt*

    'Hey, yall let him go'

'He is under arrest, stand back'

    *They begin to surround us*

'Back off or yall are under arrest as well'

*They don't so Libor hancuffs one, while Morrigan handcuffs the other two and lead them out front to a PPD officer that arrived, leaving Morrigan and myself with the final two guys.*

*A PPD officer comes back with Libor*

*Libor looks at the PPD officer and says*

'Alright, you take that guy while we take care of this guy'

*This guy is a tall muscular guy, so we take it nice and slow*

*Libor moves around to his side, while Morrigan tries to talk the guy down*

'Alright, put your hands behind your back'

*Morrigan says, as he pulls out his handcuffs*

    'NO!'

*He walks inside the house with Libor and Morrigan and myself right behind him*

'Put your hands behind your back now'

*He still refuses and Libor gives him a spray with mace and the guy goes cray*

*He suddenly grabs a steak knife and comes running toward us*

'Libor, back out he has a knife'

*Due to the close quaters we get out of the house*

"PC-8 to COPA: Requesting TAC for a barricaded suspect armed with a knife, we are securing a perimeter"

*Libor instructs the PPD officers to clear immediate area, and secure the back while Morrigan and myself secure the front*

((I hope this doesn't offend, but I'm going to wrap up the RTC on Southside Trulit here. I'm feeling bogged down and unable to do anything else. No hard feelings on my part though.))

After interviewing the woman, Charlie and I manage to talk the involved parties down. It's a shame how tempers flare to the extent they did. Only one of the vehicles was damaged enough to require a tow, so I call in a rig.

"TU-1 to COPA, requesting a tow unit to our RTC location at Southside Trulit near the freight entrance at the airport."

I issue a citation to the second vehicle, which reports suggest was following the second car too closely. The third vehicle tried to swerve to avoid the collision, but was caught by the bumper of the second car.

I address the parties as I send the first and third vehicles on their way. 'I strongly suggest you all refer to your respective insurance agencies. It's fortunate no one was injured. Let's take it slow from here and stay safe.' A few minutes after the other vehicles leave, the tow unit arrives to take the wrecked car to COPA impound. The men from the vehicle get in a cab and make their way.

I pull away after clearing debris from the scene, and wave to CE-1. "TU-1 to COPA, Incident is clear. I'm resuming patrol headed west toward Phoxlind Commerce district." It can't be too long until the mall goers have piled into their cars to head home for the day.

I pull into an entry street of the mall. There have been lots of traffic flow concerns since the population has expanded so rapidly. Perhaps the driveways into the mall should be redesigned... Either way, I'm sure this will get backed up. It's ironic the way the traffic flows. It seems like everyone prefers to go clockwise on their way out. It leaves me the outer ring of the circular drive virtually to myself to patrol.

As I come around toward an anchor store, I hear honking and arguing. I see a pair of cars that seem to be trying to both cut in, but blocking themselves off in the process. I turn on my traffic lights and pull to the soft shoulder. I step out and shake my head at both of them, pointing the way for one of them to go first. The other driver flips me the bird and drives off.

I re-enter my car and continue going around. Most everyone else seems to have figured out my routine by now, and the exit traffic is flowing pretty smoothly. As I make another turn and end up back at the main entrance road, what should I see, but those same two vehicles from earlier. One of the cars is up on the center grass divider. I pull behind them, again hit my traffic lights with the director bar set to the right, and step out of the car.

'Hey guys, police, what's going on here?'

'This @$$hole ran me off the road!' This was the man I sent ahead of the other.

'You know what cop, this is none of your business', says the other, 'I had the right of way.' He looks at the other guy and snorts at him indignantly. 'You know what, you're not worth my time. But this pig here.' He looks at me wild eyed. 'I shoulda gone. You don't know $#it about $#it.' He starts to approach me.

I put my hand on my baton. 'There's two ways we can do this. I really don't feel like having a hard day.' I notice a mall security guard walking over from an adjacent lot. 'So here's the deal, sir. You stand down, or I can take you to jail tonight. Your choice, but if you step any closer, you've made the decision for me.

'How about I kick your @$$, ****ing pig!' The man lunges at me as I pull my baton in a defensive block. I deflect his fist, but the force of the lunge pushes me back a few feet. I guide the baton to just above his knee, delivering a precision hit that drops both of his legs (Sympathetic nerves). As he hits the ground, the security guard finally makes his way over.

'Officer, are you all right?' He looks at me in concern as I cuff the subject.

I chuckle a bit. 'Some people were always picked last as kids. Go check on that guy, see if we can't get him off the median strip.' I put the guy in my back seat and get his license.

I lean back and look at him with a raised brow. 'All that, and you live two blocks away. You're a real smart one.' I pick up the radio as he continues to shout obscenities. "COPA, I'll be en route to the station with one in custody for road rage from the mall."

"Copy that, COPA. Will be added to the report."

I pull up to the station a few minutes later and prepare to process the offender. I catalog his possessions, and place him in a temporary holding cell. Once the man is settled in, I step over to the bullpen and write up my report. After it's finished, I access the EAT computer program and add the charges to the offender.

I leave the station and head make a right on the interpass. It's nearing the end of my shift, but I want to get a little more face time in with the city before I call it a day.

I pull off into a lot near the onramp to the highway. There's a good chance someone will blow the light or speed in this area. I park my car in a hidden spot behind another car and pull out my handheld radar gun. TU-1 to COPA, show me running radar on Trulit interpass between Donovan's Terrace and the Highway. I'm available for call out as needed.

    "10-4 Copa."
*I turn onto 23rd s and drive past my house seeing no one is there I turn my attention back to the road where a car is stopped. I slam on the brakes and swerve left into the opposite lane where I stop almost even with the car in front of me. I see the occupants of the vehicle laughing. I give them a thumbs up, and they return it, so I overtake them and continue driving when I hear glass break, and then a car alarm sound.
"PC4 to COPA, I am out on an audible alarm, can you send another unit to back me up, at uhhh 12th 23rd?"
*I look around and then spot where the sound is coming from, I make a quick U using part of someone's driveway and I spot a man bent overthe car and I pull up near him when the engine starts. I get behind the car when the alarm turns off and it merges with traffic.
"COPA we're moving westbound on 23rd, Im waiting for another unit before attempting to stop 'em."
    *I look
