*I hear PC-6 on the radio and grab my radio mic clipped to my shoulder flap*

"PC-6 this is PC-7, no assistance needed at this moment. I'll be on this assignment, I'll notify if I see the theft suspect in my area. Traffic is sporadic."

*I keep directing traffic going slowly by. The water is slowly building up, starting to flow into the other lane. The sidewalk is covered in an inch of water on my side by now.*

"The TEC's better bring a pump for this one, or we'll have water damage in the stores here...", I think to myself.

"Copy that PC-6" (gonna look the other way this time, but remember three things, please divide radio chat, real chat and thoughts/actions.. I'll do up a post regarding it)

"Attention all units, we're issuing an APB for a foot suspect for stealing a purse, suspect is a white male, standing 5'10" in blue jeans and a red shirt"

*Traffic is still going by, I'm still directing. I hear the radio coming alive with a lot of chatter. I'm hesitant to leave the scene with traffic picking up and the roadway now almost completely flooded for some hundred feets length, water running some inches deep even on the sidewalk. Traffic is slowed severely due to curious and worried drivers slowing down and botteling up the street in both lanes now. I stand in the middle of the road near the intersection to Empire Road, now having put on a reflective traffic vest over my jacket, waving traffic by so it won't come to a complete stop.

I decide to report on the radio*

"COPA this is PC-7, I'm unable to respond to campus scene at this moment due to the water overflow blocking traffic on Tenth Avenue. Do I proceed with traffic control until TEC arrives or respond to campus, over?"

"10-4, I have TEC arriving here now it seems. Will advice!"

*I see two trucks coming down Empire Road with amber warning lights flashing. I wave them through and they stop a little down the road from where I'm standing on Tenth Avenue. Some engineer-looking guys in utility gear get out and start lugging hose and tools to drain the road and the well. I stop directing traffic and walk over to the lead guy with a blue hardhat. I ask him:*

"TEC is here to save the day I guess?"

Engineer: "Yea, thanks for holding the fort! We'll have this sorted from here, it should take maybe half an hour to shut down the goddamn well and drain the street."

Me: "Allright. Do you need me to direct traffic or are you handling that as well? I'm needed somewhere else if you can manage."

Engineer: "You take off, we'll handle traffic! We're blocking of Tenth Avenue on both ends of this intersection until we get it fixed and just direct traffic on Empire Road around the block."

Me: "Sounds genious. Allright mr. Superhero, you have a good one! See you around." *I say smiling*

    Engineer: "Haha, thanks, you too!"

*The engineer walks off to his business, I go to my patrol car and take of the traffic vest, putting it in the trunk before getting in. I grab my radio mic and announce:*

"PC-7 to dispatch, TEC has arrived and cleared me from Tenth Avenue. I'm heading code 2 to campus now, over."

*I hang up the mic, put on my seatbelt and pull away from the flooded Tenth Avenue, turning of the directional bar as I leave. I press down the gas and activate the siren as I near the intersection, heading towards campus area.*

Walks out of the station brand new to the ERT with a fresh new uniform. I walk out to the dodge charger that was my patrol car. I get in start the car and grab the mic.
"PC-8 is clear for patrol awaiting orders"
I start to head out of the station and make a right turn onto the street. Today is my first day and I hope everything goes well.

    I pull up on the northbound side of the interstate over on the shoulder and set up so I can run radar. After about 10 minutes go by I see a red dodge ram come flying by me going 90 MPH I reach over and hit my lights and pull out into traffic going towards the truck. I get behind the truck and notice that he is not watching his mirrors I hit the siren a couple quick bursts and he quickly swings over to the shoulder and stops, I pull up behind him and park. I reach over and grab the radio;
"PC8 to central I have traffic, be advised I have a traffic violator on a Red Dodge Ram 4 door pick up truck, Texas license plate number 867-Bravo Delta Foxtrot 8"
I get out of my patrol car and walk up on the driver side.

ME:"Good afternoon sir, my name is Officer Linda and I am with the ERT Police Department. Can I please see your driver's license and vehicle registration? Do you know why I am stopping you today"
Driver (Country twang): "Yes sir I was speeding, I am very late to college and I really need to get there"
Me: "Alright sir I will try to make this quick for you, I will be right back"
I walk back to my patrol car, and start typing is information into my EAT to check his background.

    "Received central"
I grab his license and registration and get back out of my charger walk up to his window.
Me: Alright sir here is your license and registration back. What were you doing over here, it shows that you go to college outside of Phoxlind?
Driver: I was over at my girlfriends house all night and just woke up to late.
Me: Ok sir I am going to have to give you a ticket today for speeding. Please sign here. *Hands the driver the ticket*
Me: You have a safe day now.
    Driver: You to.

    I walk back to my car and grab the radio;
"PC8 to central, show me 10-8 with a traffic violation. I'm available for call out or any other patrol needed"
I leave my lights on til I am able to get out in traffic then continue patrolling til I get an assignment.

*I pull my ass out of the recliner and turn off the TV, walk out into the wardrobe and put my jacket and utility belt back on. I grab the keys for my Charger and walk out to the parking lot, clicking the doors open. I sit in and put the keys in the ignition, starting the enging. I grab the radio and announce:*

    "COPA, PC-7 returning to patrol."

*I change channels on the FM radio to a more upbeat station. A quick look at the fuel meter reveals that it's time to fill the ol' chuggers tank again, so I drive over to the department pump a few yards away. I shut of the engine and get out again, pulling on the little handle that opens the fuel cap lid in the process.
I swipe my cars refuelling card at the pump so that the amoun I fill gets registered in the ERT computer system. The pump starts, and I grab the handle and start refuelling. 16 gallons later I hang the nozzle back up and get back in the car.
I turn the ignition, the engine roars to life with new juice to chug down. Gear into drive, and I'm heading down into the town centre.*

*I listen to the radio chattering as I drive down the downtown streets. It's dark outside now, so I decide to park outside some of the local bars in a street to keep an eye on the few patrons that are there on a regular business day. No trouble seems to be going on, so I just sit tight outside with just my my parking lights on and the engine idling to make the police presence felt, watching the city night scene from my car.*

*I grow tired of sitting around outside the quiet bars. Nothing is going to happen here tonight, almost no one is out drinking this early in the week. I decide to go over to see how the new guy Linda is doing over in Lower East Side. I turn my headlights back on and pull out of the parking lot, heading towards district 9.

I arrive a few minutes later. Driving slowly by Linda's position I turn on my lightbar for a few seconds and hit the siren in a short yelp burst to attract his attention to me. I pull up in the parking lot beside his car and roll down my passenger side window.*

I roll down my window and we sit there and meet each other and visit for a good while. We look over and see a crowd starting to congregate a block down. I turn over to Halls and say, "Man what do we have here look there has to be at least 15 people over there, we should head over there and see whats going on"
I turn my headlights on and wait for him to back out so we can head over there together.

"I am on my way towards the intersection of Doyle and French where the crowd is at. There is a crowd of about 15 people congregating a block down from the gas station I was at. Looks suspicious so I was going to investigate"
I pull out of the gas station and start slowly heading towards the intersection of Doyle and French where the crowd is congregating.
I get to the location and turn on my emergency lights I jump out of the car and walk to the center of where the group is surrounding. I see a man laying motionless on the street corner. I start asking around what happened and people said that a White Ford Focus was driving hit the patient and drove off.

Don't mess it up Razz. Nice to meet you'. He grabs the keys from my hand and run outs and jumps in it. I grab my new patrol car keys and walk out side to where the brand new car is sitting. I start it up and grab the mic. I really like this car I say to myself.

Suddenly, I see a car go flying past us driving erratically. I tell the trooper, "I got him," and light the speeder up. "PC-5, COPA, I have an errant driver pulled over on Soouthside Trulit road. License plate 3075-RTE. Requesting assistance."

"Assistance is unavailable matthews. All ERT units are at a call you should have been at too. You were with a trooper who should be able to provide any assistance."

((You just did a big no no. First you skipped off a call you were requested on, to talk to a trooper... Then to top that all off, you're now requesting assistance, which is clearly unavilable. Secondly, How are you on Trulit Interpass with a trooper? Those guys techincally are out of their jurisdiction unless requested for assistance on that area. The TSD should be there, not state troopers.))
