Arson Fire

*I hold the line and move forward when Moon does.*
"Pumper 11, whats your ETA to the fifth floor?"
'Moon, lets not go too far in.'

((We came in with Cressler, does no one read anymore? Oh and Happy Easter!))

*I take the Pikepole I have and tear into teh wall. The sheet rock crumbles to show flames troughout the interior.

'Hit it Cressler'

* I take Matthews and Van Der Water and begin my ascent to the 5th floor. I see along the way burned reminants of what was left of the building, there is charred walls, ceiling and toys from th children that escaped left everywhere. burned ashes of paper and desks litter the floor and the fire has melted and warped most of the doors around me. We reachthe 5th floor and I pull out my portable radio. *

" Pump-11 Command to Ladder 1 My team has reached the 5th Floor. BREAK Pump-11 Command to Pump-11 Cressler, where wdo you need my team at? "

' Casey, Tim, Mask up we dont know exactly what is up here or what happened to Squad 1's crew yet. '

* i take my scba back out of the seat*
' man, i thought we were outta here'
* i throw it over my back and grab a tnt tool off the the tool board in the compartment and attach my mask to my scba and let it dangle*
* i follow floan up the stairs*
* i take a deep breath and smell the odor of what a house smells like when its burning in the early morning hours( i know its passed noon)*
* i start to dig through all of the papers and stuff reading whats written on them, even though its impossible to read them since its burned up. I find some bank statements and bills with due dates of last year*
* i think about all of these things and how fasinating it is and about all of those papers thrown around during 9/11 and how cool it would of been to collect them and see what was written on them*
* i throw my mask on but i dont start flowing air as i follow floan up to the 5th floor*

( does anyone else feel that way? i think it would be cool just to read some, and own them..or like in abandon, old factories..idk i find old, abanon places interesting)

( I dont know if I would want to know what people were saying or writing on that day, would probably hurt something aweful in me. Happy easter though to everybody here, I hope you all have a very blessed day. )

( well it wasnt really stuff they were writing that day, just office paperwork and stuff that was sitting around)

* I put my gear back on and grab an air pack. I follow floan up to the 5th floor*

'back in the game lol.

"Cressler to Floan LT. Hannahan stole us were on the 4th floor there is one more room in here on fire no sign of squad 1 crew"
*I move a little farther in the room.*
'Hey anders rip in the walls with the pike please'
)
(i like abandon stuff to it's interesting how stuff just one day stops being used.)

*I reach the 4TH floor and look around. I follow the line to the room where my comrades are. I get on the nozzle.*

" Pump-11 Command to Cressler, copy that stay with him we are going to keep pushing on 5, when u guys are done assisting them, go ahead and come to us. "

' Tim, Casey, come up to the 5th and Hook up, to the water up here,lets start hitting this fire, Im gonan do some investigating on this floor. '

* I walk forward and start opening doors that are not hot and start looking for any signs of heat, smoke or people left behind. *

"copy that."

*I throw hose over my shoulder and go up 1 more floor. I stop at the standpipe and take off the cap. I attach the wye and attach an 1 3/4" line to that. I take the nozzle and a few bundles of hose, mask up, and proceed down the hallway. I look back every now and then to make sure the line has no kinks and is paying out evenly. I then reach floan.*

'someone charge this thing!

' Ur charged casey go ahead. '

* I walk over and see that casey has started hitting th efire that is visible. *

" Pump-11 to Ladder 1 command, We have began suppression on the 5th floor, any sign of Squad 1? BREAK Pump-11 Command to Pump-11 Cressler status report please. "

( yes moon!! thats exactly what i mean!!)
* I mask up and back up casey*
'there ya go casey, now hit over in that area'
* i point towards the AD corner of the room*

((Sorry guys, been partying!))
*I arrive upstairs and see mainly smoke, but I decide to do a search anyway. I arrive at the first room and I walk inside. I start hosing down the walls. Just then, fire starts spewing out of the walls.*
'WOAH! Hold on there!'
"L1 and P11, this is Davis, I have heavy fire on the 5th floor, I need some help if you can."
*I aim my hose at the fire and backup a bit and keep spraying.*

" 11 to squad 1, where are you on the fifth? were on the AD side. We have a line here for backup, we just need your location"
* i say while pressuring casey to hurry up in case we need to back up the squad*

*I hit the area where tim is pointing. I hit the ceiling and work my way down to the floor. I move forward, sweeping it side to side.*

'Hey Tim, go ahead and open that up some more. I can see it running up the wall.

( We have actualy abandoned towns here in montana, there is even a rumor going around of an entire abandoned tunnell system under the city here where I live, way to scary for me to mess with lolol )

'Hey tim, open the wall up some more for me please.

' got it casey'
* I leave casey on the line and take my halligan and begin to demolish the walls, actually getting a lot of pleasure out of it. I think to myself ' where did i get this energy from?' as i start taking the wall out between the studs*

"Ladder 1 command to Squad 1, we got ya. Pumper 11 should be able to get to you momentarily so hang on. We're on the fourth here. Fire is almost out in this room."

* I notice that our room is finished and i double check for anything else, and find nothing*
" 11 to squad, what is your location? We can have a line to you in less than a minute"
* i say kinda worried that they arn't responding*

*I spray down the remaining fire and wait to go to the squad*

'are they alright?

"Pump-11 Van Der Water to any squad 1 personnel, do you copy?"

' Casey, Tim. when ur spraying down the area keep checking for the squad as well. I cant imagine why they arent responding here. '

* I continue to look around for any signs of anybody here. *

" Pump-11 to Ladder-1. Negative contact with any members of the Squad at this time. "

"Squad 1 are Okay here, just a little busy." I reply on my radio hearing everyone worried as we look around in the building.

"Squad 1, Pumper 11-copies."

*I sigh with relief.*

'Man, we dont need any more injuries around here. Ok, lets keep going.

*I turn and put my ear near the wall to see if I can hear fire. When I lean in, I feel tremendous heat emitting from it. popping is audable. I take a piece of wood and crack open the wall. fire shoots out. I stumble and push tim out of the way.*

'Holy $hit! *I turn to tim* are you okay tim!?

*I open up the bale on it. the room fills with steam*

'Lt!, did you see that?! Im afraid we have some major fire extention over here!

* i look to my right for a second then i feel a push and find myslef lying on the ground*
' What the #@$% just happened!!'
* I look up and see casey with a full open hose and getting pushed back so i stand up and back him as he aggresively puts out the fire*
" 11 to squad, did you still need assistance, you asked before but never gave a location"
* I put my mic back and take my hal;ligan and continue to rip stuff apart*

*as anders rips the wall down I spray the insulation and the fire dies out*
'Okay were done in here.'
"Cressler to floan 4th floor is totally out."

"Ladder 1 copies P-11. We're done in this room. We're coming up the stairwell."
*I get up and help Moon drag the hose to the staircase.*

" Pump-11 Command copies cressler, can you continue with hannahan's crew, we will meet up here on the 5th. BREAKPump-11 Copies squad 1 is ok. "

* I breathe a sigh of relief and continue back to the task of putting the 5th floor out and going home. *

*After pulling apart the wall, then seeing the fire extiguished, I follow Moon and John up the stairs to the 5th floor. Last floor then we get to go home I think to myself as I am almost past the point of exhuastion.

"COPA Fire Command, I think we've got a bit of confusion on my end, what's the status of the fire"

"RA1 to COPA and DCF1, we are clear of the ETC, are we needed back at scene or can we clear this run?"

"Ladder 1 command to COPA, fire on the fourth floor is out now. We're continuing to the fifth floor with Pumper 11 on side AD. Ladder 1 is progressing through the stairway and Squad 1 is also suppressing on the fifth floor."
*I get up to the fifth floor and tap Moon on his back and point to the right so we could go right.*
'We'll split up. My guys, go over to Squad 1 and give them some support.'
"Ladder 1 command to Squad 1, I have some of my crew coming to you to lend you a hand."

*I head into the room on the right and hose down the corner of the room where it appears to be spreading from the room beside it.*
'Anders give that thing a little poke and try to open it up'

"RA-1 to reestablish a RIT team please"
"COPA Copies all transmissions"

"RA1 copies COPA, returning to scene Code 3."

*I hit the Master Emergency switch and then hit the siren as we pull out of the ETC and roll back to the scene. I kill the siren as we pull up next to DCF1 and park. I get out and grab the HRES pack and the RIT pack. Then I open up the back end of the RA and sit down on the bench.*

"RA1 back on the scene RIT reestablished."

*I nod my head and take the pike pull and jab it through the wall, twist it and pull it back. This takes out a good 1 ft hole in the sheet rock going back into the second room. The flames leap out at me but I am far enough away they don't get me.

((Night)

*I back up and Moon starts to spray inside. I feel the heat hit me and it feels ok but I don't mind it either.*
'Moon, careful. You're kinda close back up a bit.'
*I back up so Moon could do the same on the line.*

'Hey Moon, Hannahan, watch out for the fire coming up to your right'

(Sorry, been busy all day.)

'I'm good'
*I crack a slightly sadistic grin and open up on the hose a little more to keep the fire off us. I beat it back.*

'Okay we need to move over a room I can't hit it anymore from here'

*I help Moon and Hannahan move the hose to the next room.*

(Going to bed, be back on in the morning)

* Tim and Casey continue to hit the fire on the 5th floor and in the section where we are working I notice the fire starting to diminish greatly. *

' Keep going u guys we're gonna get this finally lol '

'I wish we had an extra line up here.'
"Ladder 1 command to Tufts, get on the deck gun and start suppressing on Side C of the roof."
*I move forward with Moon as we knock down the endless fire. I shift my weight forward a bit as the line gets stuck around a corner.*
'I'll be back Moon.'
*I crawl back in the dark smoke with one hand on the line and move theline over bast where its getting caught on the edge. 'The line should be able to move freely.' I say to myself. I crawl back to the head of the line behind Moon.*
'Got it.'

((sorry for the inactivity, been partying and working, update please?))

(were on 5th floor almost all done the whole easter thing really threw a wrench in this haha)

*I enter the only other room that appears to be on fire other then the apartment the rest of P-11 crew is in. I notice I knocked most of the flames down from the other room and there is just a little bit left I open to a wide fog and get them all out at once.*

'Alright Lt. think we got her'

"Cressler to floan how you doing over there were all done on this side of the hall"

( Burke: yea i was confused too, as well as the whole pumper crew i think< i thought it was all out)
" Floan from matthews, asey and i are finished on the AD side. We have extinguihsed and overhauled the AD and CD sides by ourselves. I dont know about the rest of the floor"

(REMEMBER, WE COULD HAVE PFD GUYS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BUILDING INSIDE KNOCKNIG DOWN FIRES TOO)
"Ladder 1 command to Squad 1, what's your location?"
*I back up with Moon as we start on going back through the hallway.*
'We're heading towards the back!'
*I say through the roaring fire.*

((We should really start using the PFD and TVFD units a little when we have them...))
*I watch as the building gradualy starts to clear of smoke as more and more of the fire is put out. When back in the hallway I tear more at the wall of the remaining room containing fire.

(Makes our job way easier)
'Alright, fire's out in all of the apartments here. I'll be back Moon.'
*I get off of the line with Moon and stand up, walking over to John.*
'Almost time to leave I'm guessing.'
*I start talking to a PFD captain for a bit and we both settle on which rooms to take.*
'Alright, Engine 2 Cap and his guys are taking the end of the hall. The other PFD guys were actually below us overhauling the crap outta this place hah. So, we're almost done here.'
"Ladder 1 command to DCF1 and COPA, PFD Engine 2 Captain just told me that him and his crew as well as other crews were overhauling below us and hitting the fire below us. The roof is almost extinguished as of now too."
*I go over to a wall and kick it down with my boots.*
'That's how weak this building is now. Can't believe. Hope they got the guy who did this already.'

*I help Anders overhaul the room, tearing my TNT into the drywall.*
'Everything is looking good!'
