Arson Fire

* I walk over to the crew who are still spraying down the fire. I walk up to Anders and Matthews. *

' Got a 4th alarm coming on this one, just hang out for a little bit spraying, we'll get to rehab momentairly. im gonna get Cressler and Colwell in then u 2 go after. cool? '

* I walk over to the other 2 members who are doing the exact same thing as Matthews and Anders, just squatting and spraying the building. *

' Ok you 2 are off the Line and go to rehab, come back here when ur good and pick up where u left off. '

* I stand back up and walk overto my side of the Engine to get a drink of water from the floor below my seat. *

*I stand up from the line and head for rehab.*
'Phew, that fire is still roaring, Moon. I don't think we will ever go home!'

*I follow colwell over to the RA*
'Sup here for rehab...tell me I can't go back'
*I say with a smirk*

"Beard to Hannahan where do you need me to go?"
((sorry ive been gone guys ive been bussy at the fire hall, and i wolnt be on much this week as much as id like to be due to me being on a duty crew.. so Hannahan or Jess godmod me as needed))

"Ladder 1 ccommand to all crew, report to rehab now."
*I still wait for Angus to give me my vitals so I could go and do work.*

'Got it. I'll get to the deck gun soon as I'm checked out'

'Alright good.'
"Ladder 1 command to Bruce, report to rehab then uhh, vent the side of the building under the windows."

*After a few cups of water and a breather, I head back for the 2" putting my gear back on.*
'Here we go again.'
*I say with a smirk.*
(I will be offline for the rest of the night)

* I grab a 2" line and walk it out from the truck, wrap it, and then sit on it hitting the 1st and 2nd floors of the building, even though it seems to be doing nothing*

*i got to rehab and get checked out, then i go and get another k-12 off the truck and a walk over to the side of the building, mask up and cut a 4x4 hole in the wall. as soon as i cut the whole black smoke rolls out of the hole and reduces my visability.*
"Hannahan the hole is cut"

I strecth another line and start spraying onto the fire

*I get checked out at rehab and grab a water bottle then head over to the deck gun*

* I get up from the truck and go over to McEvoy. *

' Hey chief, the building hasent fallen yet, We need to figure out how to get this extinguished, im up for internal operations again, obviously we arent making adent in the building outside like this. '

*I go over to Chris.*
'This building is burning mostly inside and exterior ops are not working for us.'
*I look up at the building as the smoke makes the sky seem black.*

*I spray my 2" line on a tight stream for distance as I spray into the second floor windows to try and get the flames out. I can feel the heat on my mask. I check my airpack to see what I have for air. I see it is at less then 1/4 full.

"P-11 Anders to P-11 command, When can the second supression team get air?"

" Pump-11 Command to Pump-11 Anders, Copy that, go get replenished and grab some water. "

* I look back at Chris and Hannahan. *

' Come on chris, what do ya say, u wanna let my Engine and the Truck go inside and finish this off? '

"Anders to P-11 command, copy"

*I shut down my line and set it down. I can see the 4th alarm trucks getting set up. I go off air and take off my mask. I put my empty air bottle back in the truck and mark the door with red tape. I then grab a bottle that is full and throw it in, screw it on and test it. Next I walk over to M-5 for rehab.

'Hey guys whats up?'

*I check Colwell's vitals and hand him a bottle of water.*
"You're good."

*I check Cressler's vitals and hand him a bottle of water.*
"You're good too."

*I check Hannahan's and give him some water.*
"Good, LT."

*I hear Floan and pick up my radio.*
"Yeah, this is hopeless. Do you want us to help out with interior or just stay outside and look for signs of collapse or whatever?"

*I finish with my rehab and put my mask back on. I walk back over to where my hoseline is and pick it up. I see all the progress I made, even though it was small, had mostly become engulfed with fire again.

" Pump-11 Command to Squad-1 davis, If we get clearance to go in, I will need all hands on deck so if Chief McEvoy gives us the OK then absolutly come and have some fun inside. "

*I keep on the 2" flowing water in what is seeming to be a hopeless cause.*

* I walk over to each of my men and give them a pat on the back. *

' I know this seems hopeless u guys, but if and when we get the clearance to go in then we will do just that, if not then we stay out here and keep pressing on the exterior, eventually the fire will burn itself out. '

*I feel a little bit more motivated after talking to the Lt. I reposition myself on the hose to get more comfortable.*

" Pump-11 Command to ladder 1 Command, what about pointing the Ladder off the roof and on to another floor I'll aim my deck gun to a location just next to yours and we can hit it with 2 trucks at once on 1 floor, i mean at this point why not, its better than whats going on now. "

"Ladder 1 command to P-11 command, lets take the second floor then."
*I go over to the controls and reposition the deck gun outside and on the second floor.*

" Pump-11 Copies, BREAK Pump-11 command to Pump-11 Van Der Water , Aim our deck gun at the next window over on the same floor as Hannahan's stream will be, BREAK Pump-11 Command to Pump-11 Personel rally at the Engine, Grab your packs and 2 lines we are going in, meet me at the engine for additional orders. "

* I walk over to the Engine, open my door and grab my Air pack, throw it on, adjust the straps and grab my halligan before having a very brief meeting with my men. *

'Oh Sh&^ Angus gotta go catch a building'
*I head back to the trucks and tighten up my PPE and grab my SCBA back and get ready to mask up*

* I look over at the men starting to form around me at our Engine. *

' ok guys listen up, we gotta end this fire, its been going on for a long time now, the truck crew will be going in on another floor, and the squad will follow suit im sure, We are going n on the main floor and work our way up, We'll vent as we go knocking out any windows that havent been knocked out already, fight fire where you see it, demo anything in our way, make sure EVERYBODY has a full bottle of air and that your tools are at your side, No TIC or anything like that, just down and dirty firefighting. Everybody agree?? oh and for corn sake Nobody get injured please lol. '

' One more thing u guys, this building has been burning for some time now, lets all stick together, dont go off alone in here. '

" ERT Pump-11 to PFD Chief and ERT OSC, ERT Pump-11 will be re-entering structure to resume interior operations, Entering structure will be +5 FF's "

' Matthews and Anders, 2" line and lets go in, Moon and Colwell 2" line and follow Matthews in. I'll take point inside. Watch our ceilings and doors. '

* I put my mask, nomex and Cover on and start walking toward the building with my crew close behind me. *

((Cressler, I had already told you that you were good to go.))

*After waiting for a while, I fee refreshed then something in me clicks. I get frustrated a bit and then I speak into the mic.*
"Ladder 1 to crew, regroup at the ladder for updated orders. We're making an interior attack on the building."
*I change my SCBA pack after seeing its low and start giving everyone orders.*
'Alright guys, we're taking the second floor now K?' Bruce, Jess, use the 2 1/2 on the ground there. Jack, grab a 1 3/4 and detach it, attach a pack to it and go up. William, you're with me. We're taking the last 2 1/2 line and going in ok? I wanna go home with all of you guys so don't get hurt or your asses are mine. Stay on each others heels. No freelancing K? You got that? Alright, let's go.'
*I pick up a line with William behind me and I make my way up the ladder.*

*I take the 2" inside following the first attack crew and Floan.*

* I walk to the door and drop to my knees to check my ceiling integrity, I shake my head knowing this is probably a bad idea but needs to be done, I stand up and start walking into the building. *

" Pump-11 to Ladder 1, We have made entrance to the building on the 1st floor, we will meet up with you on the 2nd as we go. "

* I look over at my men and I start pointing out places to hit, ( Like it is necessary, there is fire everywhere. ) *

' Ok guys go get it.....knock it down. '

*I open up the nozzle and start spraying water everywhere.*
'Wow, it's hot in here!'

*I make entry in the second floor seeing mostly just black smoke. After a few seconds though, it clears up just enough that I could see the glow from the fire. The heat makes me a bit weaker but actually calms me down since I know we're making a difference in this burning building.*
'Holy s***'
*I pull the lever back on the nozzle and start spraying around the hallway. I turn on my flashlight and keep spraying in circles. 'It's hot in here.' I say to myself.*
'Keep on my heel probie.'
*I move around the hallway and as I spray the fire, the black smoke gets thicker. I move around a little to feel my way on the extinguished wall already extinguished on the deck gun. 'Damn, Botfish is gone so I can't set up ladders.'*
"ERT Ladder 1 command to PFD Truck 1, can you put an extension ladder up to the second floor on side A for me?"
*I wait a while whilst spraying the fire. 'Now we're doing something.'*
***"PFD Truck 1 to ERT Ladder 1 command, we'll get those up momentarily alright? Give us 2 minutes. We're kinda tied up right now."
'What the hell are you tied up with? You're mostly outside!' I say to myself.*
"Ladder 1 command to PFD Truck 1, we copy."
*I do a circular motion with my nozzle spraying water in the close victinity of the hallway.*
"Ladder 1 command to Pumper 11 command."

* I throw a new bottle onto my pack and strap my mask on and throw my nomex over it and grab a 2" line with jack and begin to stretch it out towards the door, i give the sign to van der water to charge it and i kneel in front of the door and start spraying in every direction in a V pattern*

" Pump-11 Command, Go ahead Ladder 1. "

* I wait for Hannahan's response and look at Colwell doing his best to extinguish the flames as he goes. *

' Forward progress u guys DONT stay in 1 location, aggressive attack keep sweeping forward. '

* I look at jack and we nod to eachother and we begin to move froward taking the left side and moon takes the right side and i start throwing water everywhere i see it as i throw a plastic lawn chair out of my way*
' Man they have a lot of crap lying in here' i say through my mask

' Tim, Jack. If you guys need anything knocked over that is in ur way that you cant get yourselves, gove me a hollar. '

* I start knocking things down, breaking through boxes and knocking over desks as I go through the floor. I look around and see Nothing but but bright orange flames everywhere. *

"All units are clear for entry On the building. I want squad 1, and some of pumper 11's crew, and some of ladder 1's crew."

( you want them for what?)
( and to get this straight is this like a condo/ apartment building or like an office building)

' Keep attacking guys, move forward, I want to meet Ladder 1 on the 2nd floor of this place. '

* The 1st floor is still pretty covered in fire as I move through it, I see Anders and Matthews on my right side and Moon with Colwell on my left. I walk over to Colwell and point to a huge area of fire. *

' Hit that area over there, that must be a heater or something, lets knock that down it looks like its helping to feed the fire on this floor. '

" Pump-11 Command to Pump-11 Van Der Water, Casey can you head over to the Chief and see if he needs anything from you. He was calling for some of 11's crew and the rest of us are inside. "

"Pumper-11, Van Der Water to chief, Would you like me anywhere else than the deck gun?"

"Pumper 11, what's it like down there? Any injuries yet? Hows your attack."
*I say this with a small smile on my face while still doing the circular motion with the nozzle.*
"DCF1, I have Chris on the deck gun if you need him."
*I keep moving forward occasionally calling William's name to see if he's still behind me.*

*I spray in the direction that Floan pointed out.*
*I watch the fire slowly start to die down in that area.*

*I keep my hand on colwells should as we progress forward through the building and tap him to point out any spots he may have missed*
