Possbile Arson at Fort Basio

"pc-6 arriving, smoke showing from second floor, no visible flames."

"10-4 Libor any other things you can see? ETA 6 minutes"

"Hold on Libor we're four minutes out."

"Squad 1 on scene"

I put on my BA and walk to Libor. 'You spotted anything else?'

((Does anyone ever read the specs on these rigs *cough cough* hannahan *cough cough*))

"P-11 Squad 1, what do you guys have on your size up?"

"3 minutes out." (How the hell do you guys get on scene without really paying attention or giving any sort of visuals to the arriving crews even though your first on scene?)

((What about the specs then? we have SCBA right? and the other thing I don't really understand))

"Squad 1, Pumper 11. Smoke and small flames showing side A level 2"

"Pumper 11 on scene."
* I jump out and put on my SCBA gear and pull some crosslays. I then get out the Supply line out and connect it to the hydrant.*
'Ok we're good here! Lt., I see bits of fire showing from the cracks on what seems to be the third floor.'
*I grab a crosslay and spray the fire that's showing.*
'Are we clear to enter the building Lt.?'

'Alright, we should do a search when we're allowed to enter to see if we can find any possible causes for the fire. Let me pull some crosslays. Are there any more hydrants in the area?'

*I charge and pull a crosslay off the truck for me and put on my BA. I then wait until we get clearance to enter. I get out some tools: halligans, axes, pike poles, etc.*

'EAT said no occupants but maybe the arsonist might be trapped in there.'
*I look around into the crowd and see someone going to toward the crowd that wasn't there before. Whenn he turns around to look at the fire, he has a big grin on his face and I notice his pants are wet and his eybrows looks burnt off.*
'Uhhh....Lt., is there any possibility that guy could be our arsonit? The one with the messed up pants and eyebrows.'
*I turn back and start to spray inside a hole made by part of the wall collapsing from the heat with fire roaring out of it.*

'Still, maybe we can find something or a cause. Right now, let's hit the fire from the outside.'

*I aim my crosslay at a window with fire showing and begin to spray.*

'Hannahan, I believe thats our arsonist, we need to get him arrested on suspicion of arson'

*I get a halligan from the squad*

'Any one need help? '

(is there anyway we can assume the ladder is on location? there is fire from the second floor and we are enroute but never on location..sorry for butting in*

((Just god mod and say 'Ladder 1 on Scene.' *[whoever is driving] pulls up the ladder and I get out...*))

'This fire is gonna be hard to put out. Jansen, you come with me when we get clearance. I'll take my line.'

*I keep hitting the fire.*

"ladder 1 on scene" *B. Beard pulls up and I jump out with my scba on* "Garcia do you want the ladder to the second floor, fire side to begin fire control or do you want it to the roof for ventilation?"

*i throw on my SCBA and grab a set of irons and and a cross lay off the ladder and run over to Davis.*
'Matthews has the ladder so i can help yall as soon as we get clearance'

'Great. For now, try to hit it from the outside.'

*I keep spraying the fire while they get the ladder in place.*

* until I recieve further directions, I extend the ladder to the fire area window and active the deck gun on the tip of the ladder* " ladder 1 is in place on the A side dousing the flames. Ladder can be used by anyone to get to a higher floor"

'Alright, it's working, the fire is going down now. Keep an eye on that guy make sure he doesn't leave.'
*I spray side B until the fire retreats back from the doorway.*
"Workin' on the doorway now just in case! Fire's going back. Once you get on the roof to ventilate Ladder 1, let me know. I'll put some water through the hole."

'We need to get the police over here.'

"Hey Burke, this is Davis, we have possibly found the arsonist. We need police over here to arrest him."

"I'm busy, report to COPA for this call. Turn suspect over to MP's, they'll alert me if he is connected to the situation here"
(incase you didn't see, I'm kinda trapped in HQ with two armed men attempting to kill me)

*i continue to spray through the open window*

*I back away from the door and turn on the fog nozzle and spray inside the doorway as the fire goes down faster than before.*
'Remember, let me know guys if you need me on side A. Tell me when you're done venting. I'll get on the deck gun......doorway is clear for entry.'
*I back up and turn the straight nozzle back on and shoot the sides of the fire.*

I walk up to the door with my halligan, 'Lt. we need to get the arsonist turned over to the MP' I peek inside and wait for Davis

*I keep spraying the side of the building while moving back.*

*i move up closer to the open window and continue to spray*

* ladder is on the roof and crew is finishing ventilating*
" ladderr 1 to hannahan and garcia were done ventilating, where do you need the ladder now?"

'OK, Jansen, let's move in. I'll get my line.'

*I drag my line over to the entrance and enter with Jansen.*

"ladder 1 to command do you want to utalize our crew for search?"

I walk in with davis and go to the 2nd floor, the smoke is getting thicker and thicker. I find the door where the fire is and open it slowly. 'We might got a problem here, there's a jerry can of gasoline here and the flames are closing in'

'Break it down. We'll hit the fire from the tank -> out.'

*I ready my line.*

((What do you mean? my english isnt perfect))

((im gonna sleep now, godmod me if ya need))

I hear about the venting done and get on the deck gun and spray through the hole.
'Entry team, keep the fire back as well as you can. You got water from the deck gun to suppress the fire above you.'
*I get on the deck gun and shoot through the hole.*

" im available if anyone needs me"

'Matthews help me throw some ground ladders in case the entry team needs a secondary egress if somthing goes rong'
*i grab a 24 ft extention ladder of the truck and throw it to one of the second story windows*

((Hey Jansen, I meant that we'll extinguish the fire closest to the gas tank first and work our way to the sides of the room.))

*Jansen breaks open the doors and fire hisses out at me. There's a gastank in the room that hasn't blown up yet, so I extinguish the fire around it.*

"This is Davis, we've gained entry to the first room. There was a gas tank in it and I'm trying to not let it explode. Keep venting Ladder 1, we'll need it."

'Smoke is coming up from the roof hole but I think the fire is out. If you need any more support, I'll help.'
*I keep spraying the roof fire.*

((What! No it's not! We just made entry.))

*I continue to extinguish the fire as it moves away from the tank.*

'The fire is almost out in this room. Pretty soon we'll move to the next room.'

*I start spraying the fire spitting out of the roof. I slowly side weep the fire and the fire goes down just a little.*
'It's going down again but it still is showing. Try to close the room door behind you if you can if you have another point of egress.'

*keeps ventilating*

'The jerry can is safe we should take it outside though'

"ladder 1 to entery weve got ground ladders placed at the alpha, brovo, and charlie side incase of emergency bail out"
*i go over to the truck change my bottle, then pick up my pike pole and start venting some more*
((outa my own curriosity how many other units are there on the scene))

"Fire's out in this room" I see some red melted plastic in the room where the fire must have been started, this is arson I think by myself

"Entry team to COPA and other FD Units, cause of fire is almost certain arson, I found a melted jerry can and one that's still intact, continuing search"

*i finish my venting*
"ladder 1 to command we are finshed ventalation, do you want us to start a secondary search?"

'OK Jansen. I'll take the unmelted can outside. We can change our bottles real quick and stuff if you need to.'

*I walk into the room and take out the gas can. Then I check the air on my bottle, see that I still have a lot left, so I decide to go back into another room with Jansen.*

"Hey Bruce, if you want I guess you guys can help us with the secondary and the interior fires."

((Military Police is also onscene))

*I also check my air 65/100 the meter says* 'lets go davis'
