Fire station: You know where everything is so just salvage crap..they'll build you a better station since that one was getting old anyway. Fire truck: Depends on how old it is and how old your spare is.....lol. That's how I view it.

Answer is: I speak french. It is important when you're a hockey player. I travel to Qubec 5-6 times a year. (for hockey tournements) I don't speak spanish.

I know English and I want to learn German because it's such a cool language! But still, being fluent in Spanish would be good, too, even though there aren't a lot of Spanish people that live here. It would be good for the future.

ehh,spanish will get you farther than any other language ( in the united states)..well i take that back, you ould make an argument for sign language..but i heard once that by like 2020 white caucassions will be the minority and mexican/ mexican americans will be the majority..so spanish never hurts to know..and btw im only an explorer ( junior firefighter) and i used my spanish at an mva we had once where no one knew any spanish..the medics on the ambo tried to pull out this " guide to medical sppanish" book thing and failed..but then they called me over and i used my spanish..it was pretty cool

me? yea it worked..i could talk to him..asked him what hurts..he told me..we boarded and collared since it was a midnight mva, single car roll over on its side into a ditch..guy was drunk..we found out he was illgal so we called border patrol in..officer showed up, went into the back of the ambulance to talk to the guy..guesss what? guy spoke freakin perfect english..he was screwing with us the whole time

No it wouldn't. Wait I take that back, If McCain was pres. and the congress was controlled by the repubs. then gas would be a lot cheaper. Why? Because we would be drilling here, threatening the oil companies monopolies. Look back to when Bush lifted the exec. branch ban on off shore and ANWR drill, the gas prices dropped to 1.399 in my area, before Obama reinstated the ban, and now we are back to square 1.

ah yes because we've seen how smart offshore drilling is and okay so we drill everywhere including alaska and just ruin our ecosystem so gas would be 2 bucks a gallon but we'd have no oceans and no alaska

The area of ANWR that we'd be drilling in is less than 10 percent of the reserve and it is barren. Also some scientist suggest that drilling in ANWR would help the ecosystem, by giving the animals warmer spots to mate and hybernate. Also the episode we had over the past year with the BP rig was caused by 2 factors. 1 Company cut safety features to cut cost. 2 them having to drill in much deeper water because the government wouldn't let them drill closer to shore, where more oil is.

well forgive me for not wanting to risk an ecosystem if there is one thing that history has taught us it's that we can find new forms of energy thing about what the cavemen start with....history has also taught us we can't fix ecosystems...we've tried all we've ever done is ruin them...

It won't, but the person behind 9/11, of many other failed/unexecuted/completed/ and future terrorist attacks is dead. That's not to say they won't continue, but hell, he's dead!

Osama is dead, however thing is, Al Quada doesn't work like USA's forces... If you cut off the head, the body still keeps going, since each person follows the belief. . It's a religion, not a military, so you have to kill them all to win, though people think just cause bin laden is dead, it's over now.

Just started something about ERT. I got bored, so I started writing.

Phoxlind, it seems like everything happens here. Sometimes I think the city totally depends on us, I can’t image what would happen if we weren’t here. We all rely on each other and will always be connected and friends. We are the Emergency Response Team........


I suppose I should introduce myself, my name is Mitch and I am a firefighter/paramedic who works for the Emergency Response Team, based in Phoxlind. I originally grew up in Australia, born and raised in Melbourne Victoria. Ever since I attended school I have always wanted to become a firefighter, or at least some who helps people. I originally wanted to become a Paramedic however after due consideration I chose firefighting as my career. At the age of 20 I moved to America in search of my firefighting career, at first I joined the FDNY progressing through the ranks, eventually becoming a Lieutenant for Engine 7. After a leg injury forced me out of work for six months, I decided to leave the FDNY to chase a new firefighting career, one at the Emergency Response Team. I heard many stories about them and decided to move to Phoxlind to join the Emergency Response Teams Fire Department. I joined the Emergency Response Team and was first assigned to the only engine at the Headquarters or as it was called “Pumper 11”.
