Town bordering us has a ripper. 2.5 Story woodframe flames showing all Division side A/B/D. I may take an ambulance over there and help with rehab. Depends on what I hear.

lol good. We got sent to the scene for rehab, town EMS took the fire victim, got released about 20 minutes ago. Not too exciting. I'll see if there are pictures up later.

im not on duty again till saturday. whenever theres a fire in the county, the county is small enough that i can be anywhere in it in about 15 minutes, so when i hear a fire ill listen in and try to assemble a crew to go do rehab.

Haha lucky. I wish our county was that small, it takes us 15 mins just to get accross town! But anyway sounds huge good luck and can't wait for the pics!

pfffttt we can be from our station outside of town in under a mintue thats how tiny our town is we have one stop light...

service calls and misc calls vary and I'm not sure why there listed as two different things should probably just all be under misc. but it can range from getting a cat out of a tree to just something that doesn't really fit in any other category smoke investigations are under misc and odor investigations.

I believe how he has them split up service is more like just goofy non emergency rescues of types and misc is just those weird calls that you really don't know where else to put them....like I got paged out to help with our drawing we had going on all day no joke...tones drop......this comes across non-emergent any available personnel please report to station to assist in house....I get there he's like yeah were doing our drawings I go you really had them page for this a simple phone call wouldn't suffice?

im like you moon...we get about 200 calls a year..half are fire half are medical..we run 1 pumper, 1 pumper/tanker. the squad( not like on here, its a pickup truck with a large back. mainly used for ems and water rescue) and 1 heavy rescue..so we rely on m/a a lot around here..if any town near me gets a structure job, even if its a stove fire, they get a pumper and rescue from my station and a fast from another station..most likey we get cancelled though

yeah we have mutual aid on first alarm for everything even if there is nothing showing if it's a fire us and the crew up over the hill respond if it's an MVA us and the rescue from up the other hill respond a lot of times us or them are canceled or held in station till someone gets there then canceled but still

We run 450 fire calls and about 2500 (guess) medicals a year.

I think our old local station runs on 1000 shouts or so a year with one Pump Ladder, I've seen it out and about, not sure about the station where I'm going to live, but it's probably similar, and it's a Pump Ladder and Pump station.

This Lady Gaga concert is torture. There are freaks everywhere all dressed like her or wearing creepy clothes and makeup. I'm very happy I have a 3g phone with internet lol.

I know by saying that I'm just asking to get the singing video posted. lol

Anyway, none of the usual websites have posted fire pictures, if they haven't by now then they are not going to.

There was also a second fire in a neighboring town last night, at some chemical plant, small though, our Ladder went.

This is why I dislikes her. She creeps me out a bit. Cute, but overall creeps me out the way she dresses lol.

Ok, so yesterday was the best day ever! Like 7 of my friends and I went to see Rio in 3D and they made me sit by the girl I like (Sam). It was alright cuz I was originally sitting by my friend's new girlfriend (Sarah). Anyway, after that, Sarah left (thank God she's annoying!), so we went to our friend Kendra's house. I had to sit in the trunk with 3 other girls while my friend's Jake and Cory got their own seats. We saw the quint responding too haha. But anyway, when we got there, we had so much fun. We were hitting each other with exersise balls and I mean we FLEW accross the room! I fell on my butt like 5 times. Then we colored eggs and Sam spilled the blue dye all over her pants, the chair, and under the glass on the table. Then we went back downstairs and Jake fell on a chair, then we just talked for a little while about some hilarious stuff and other stuff concerning me and Sam. But then we went outside in the rain and we acted all drunk and stuff. Then the boys went inside, but I went back out with the girls and they threw water ballons at me! Then I ran back downstairs and they pulled me back up and tried to tie me up with yarn! They DRAGGED me up the stairs lol! I have a huge rugburn on my stomach. After that, we kinda settled down but it was a wild night! Next party is at my house lol!

So yeah, the remainder of that concert was just as odd as it was when I posted the other time. And my friend who works security there wasn't working so I had to sit through it... lol

Also, I just found this out today, but apparently yesterday one of our cops was in a traffic stop and got the car drove away dragging the officer, and either the dragged officer or the second officer shot the driver, not sure who fired the shots, I've heard two different stories. But heres the news story:

I don't think I'd want to be a cop over there it seems like every week you have a story of one of them getting attacked, hurt , or killed that almost never happens over here...I mean don't get me wrong it does sometimes but not nearly as much as it seems like you get over there

Yup, they're not always in town, but they're in the area. We border one city and a very small town in between us and Newark, each with a good share of gang activity. We are a large town, but in a way a small city. Here's the crime stats for it for 2009 (2010 not yet published)

Crime index total: 1,323
Violent Crime: 136
Non-Violent: 1,187
Murder: 1 (We already have 2 murders for 2011)
Rape: 4
Robbery: 67
Aggravated Assault: 64

Compare that to the rest of the county, with eh exception of the city, all the rest are in the hundreds. Us, the city, and two other towns are in the thousands. The city Crime index is 6,447, The Newark is out of the county, but their crime index is 12,364. (For 2009), and as I said there is only 1 small town between us and Newark.
