*I have the other guy talk to me*

    "What happened here sir?"

    "I don't know?"

"Are you under the influence sir?"

    "No sir."

    "Okay so what happened here."

    "I hit him."

    "How did you?"

    "I don't remember."

"Okay sir I am going to give you a field sobriety test. I think you are under the influence."

    "Okay sir..."

    "SUP2 to COPA, I'm on FST's."

*I conduct FST's and the guy seems under the influence.*

    "Stay Right here for me."

    * I walk back to my car and grab my PAS device out of the passenger seat and get it out.*

"Okay sir this is your last test, you have to put your lips around this plastic piece and blow as hard as you can until I tell you to stop. It's just like blowing up a balloon."

    "Okay sir"

*He takes the test. I wait for the PAS to register. It registers to a .16*

"Okay sir can you turn around, place your hands on the back of your head and interlace your fingers. You are going to jail for DUI. You are way over the legal limit."

*I walk him to my car and throw him in backseat.*

*I run him out on the EAT and he's clear*

"Copy that COPA, we're just dealing with this trucker here, will return to the interstate shortly." I put the radio back on the dash and after finishing off checking all the trucks details, it turns out that it was within the limits for everything but the tire tread.

'Sir, we're going to have to issue you a fix-it citation for the bald tires, do you understand?' I ask the driver. He nods looking glum.
    'Yes officer.' He replies.
'Ok, I'm afraid I'm also going to have to give you a citation for no rest period. I'd prefer that you take this vehicle immediately to a garage, get the tires changed, or leave the trailer to be fixed, okay?' He nods again. 'Stay safe sir and tell your boss he should pay those tickets immediately, or we'll get him.' I tell him, and head back to the car with Linda. I start to fill in a few more details about the truck and start to head out to the Interstate.

(If I did anything wrong, say and I'll fix it.)

"CE-1 is enroute to truck on the interstate." I put the radio back on the dash and turn towards the the Interstate, flicking on the turn signal as I pull onto the road, and see the truck just ahead in the distance, hazard flashers on. I indicated onto the shoulder, and stop around 50 yards behind the truck, realising that if some idiot rear ended us, the last place I'd wanna be was in the back of a semi. I press the hazards on, and all the rear lights as well, and then open my door carefully, pulling on my traffic vest as I climb out and walk around the car to step over the barrier and walk down the path beside the interstate to the truck.

'Hello sir, what's wrong here?' I ask, the driver standing by the side of his truck, which seemed to be broken, or just he was lazy, never too sure.
'Truck's broken down, just managed to get it on the shoulder, and bam, engine spluttered out.' He shakes his head, his longish hair flying around.
'Have you called for any assistance?' I ask, checking round for any other drivers nearby.
'Yeah, called the company and a mechanic, but the mechanics are all busy apparently, and the company guy's on his way from somewhere else in state.' He replies, still shaking his head.
'Alright, I'll be back in a second.' I tell the guy, walking back to our car. I lean towards Linda's side of the vehicle. 'Says the truck's broken down, not entirely sure still, can you run him up on the EAT?' I asked, as I got my radio and transmit a message to COPA. "CE-1 is with the stopped truck now, driver says the truck has broken down, just checking out now. Over." I clipped the radio back on my vest and stood by the car, awaiting the EAT results.

"SUP2 to COPA, Can you start a flat bed tow for my in custody's vehicle, it has major front end damage."

I fill out the tow form and give it to Libor for the tow truck driver. Then a PPD unit pulls up onscene.

"Hey you guys need any help?"

"Hello sir, Can you just help direct traffic for Sgt. Libor."

"Sure thing." He parks his car next to libor's and hops out to go help direct traffic.

I turn to Libor. "Hey are you good here?" He nodds his head.

"Okay then I'll take this guy to the PD quick."

I hop in my drivers seat and put my car in reverse and back up then into drive and make a U-turn and start towards the PD. I shut off my lights on.

"SUP2 to COPA, I'll be enroute to the PD with one, starting mileage 0."

"SUP2 to COPA, arrived at the station, ending mileage 10.6."

I hop out and grab the prisoner out of the back. I then bring him into the station. I put him in a holding cell and the desk sgt tells me he will handle it. I then walk upstairs to go write my report on this.

"SUP2, I will be at the station report writing. I will be out of service except for priorities."

I go into the traffic office and sit down at my desk and write my report.

'Nothing on him Charlie.' Linda says to me, I thank him and head back to the driver.
'Sir, is anything wrong, feeling ill or sick?' I ask the driver, who does look quite pale.
'No officer, just tired here.' It was understandable, but I want to check it anyway.
'Would you mind if I checked your logbook sir?.' I ask him, he shakes his head and climbs into the cab to grab it.
'Here.' He said, not entirely happily. I flick to the recent time, he'd had his rest breaks, and that was good, but was working for a few days straight, which even with breaks was never safe, but it was nothing to cite him for.
'Ok sir, we'll just wait up for a mechanic.' I tell him, he nods again, looking more suspicious every minute to me.

'Sir, would you mind if I asked you a question?' I ask the driver who was glancing around, scared of something, anxious, nervous, I can't tell.
    'Uh, sure.'
'What are you transporting?' He looks at me, his eyes open wide in fright.
'Well...uhh...just...books.' He nods, as in agreement with himself. 'Yeah, just books.' He nods again, smiling at me.
'Ok then, so there's just books in the back of the truck?' He nodded, looking more afraid, something was wrong here. As I turned towards the truck, he started to run, leaping over the barrier, and heading off towards the city itself. "CE-1 Foot Pursuit! Requesting back-up on Union Street, man fleeing stopped truck. Over." I put the radio back and started chasing him again. 'Stop, Police!' I shout after him, but he keeps running, I want to draw my pistol, but realise that'll inflame him more.

"CE-1 still involved in pursuit. He's heading to Donovan's Terrace Intersection. Over." I let go of the button and start to chase after the guy quickly, but he had a head start, and lighter gear to carry. "SUP-2, PC-6, where are you, over?" I transmitted as the guy took a right onto Donovan's Terrace, heading to the Interpass.

I slow down as I reach the scene to see the guy under control. 'Good one whoever caught him.' I say to Linda and Libor, as they're controlling the suspect. 'The truck's still on the interstate, probably something illegal in the trailer, if we get someone else to follow the ambo, we can get the dog to search out the trailer for anything illegal?' I suggest as I kneel down by the guy.

(why would I lie, it would be on video him fighting back reaching for my gun. If we had tazers I would taze him. But we dont, so I used force needed to protect me and restrain him. Would you prefer I lose my gun and get killed?

In real life, officers that punch a suspect for resiting and reaching for his side arm while you are by yourself would not be in ANY trouble. They may be put on short paid leave while court investigates, maybe.

(I said you may get in trouble, because if he presses charges, then an investigation takes place, which is not always fun, and i never said I'd beat you. Also, you need to remember, anything you have they can have too. We're not getting into the tazer thing, because there is no need to start that debate again. We've got pepper spray and other non lethal options, such as fists. Punching him in the head is alright so long as you don't cause severe damage, force is fine in moderation, just like you don't shoot a person for cursing at you and resisting arrest, that's all you need to remember )

I come back from the back of the Magnum with a crowbar, and then use it to lever the door of the trailer open. Opening the right door, then the left, and moving out of the way, for Linda to use his weapon if needed, and I use my flashlight to illuminate the inside. 'See anything?' I ask, as we look inside, seeing only largish crates.

'Alright.' I reply, training the flashlight on the inside of the trailer, the crates were piled up quite high, and there seemed to be an odd odor, but I waited for the dog to go in, as the dog would definitely be better at that stuff.

"CE-1 to COPA, we're with Car 6, Northbound on the Interstate, carrying out a search on a truck, driver was arrested." I put the radio back on my little mount and step back from the truck a minute. 'Hey Matt, you wanna go check out the cab?' I ask, wondering if there's anything stupid we've missed.

(Just going to try to finish up the call so we can get onto the bomb threat)

We open up the box and find nothing.

"CE-1 to COPA go ahead and call city pd to this location and let them finish with this one so we can clear and head on to "hq" over"

Used HQ as a code word just in case the bombers were listening to radio

'Hmm, I wonder why he ran.' I murmur, as I walk back to our car. "CE-1 to COPA, can we get a heavy tow out on the interstate for the truck, over." I say, putting the radio back as I start up the car, and wait up for Linda and Libor to finish up.

'Hey Matt, just gonna set us up near the Interstate and watch out for traffic violations.' I say as I pull the patrol car out of the complex, and start driving down the Interpass, heading towards the Interstate. I grab the dash radio as we stop at a red light. "CE-1, any 911 calls related to traffic, over." I say as we keep on driving.

*As i'm driving on Keller street I see flashing lights down on fourth avenue and decide to check it out*

*As I pull up I see its a Phoxlind PD car with a green crown vic pulled over*

"PC-8 i'm going to be out at about 415 fourth avenue backing up Phoxlind PD with a traffic stop"

*I flip on my direction bar and step out of my car and put on my jacket and my hat*

*I walk up on the passenger side of the PPD car and see the officer*

    'Hey, what do you have?'

'Oh, they were racing another car and these guys were winning so I popped them'

*He says with a slight girn*

'Soungs good, how many in the car?'

    'Just the two'

    'Ok'

    'I'm Dave by the way'

    'I'm Will'

    'Nice to meet you'

'Yeah, i'm about to hand him his citation'

'Ok, i'll go up with you'

*Will gets out of his cruiser and he walks up to the drivers side and I walk up to the passenger side*

*After the driver signs the ticket they head off and we walk back to our cars*

    'Well just another day'

'Yeah, well take it easy Will'

    'You too'

*I then walk back to my car and get in and take my hat off and put it in the seat next to me*

"PC-8 to dispatch i'm back available"
