Traditions Museum Fire Alarm Active

* I see a tremendous amount of Steam and smoke come out of the building's basement windows and hear the traffic that the crews have found the fire. *

" Pump-11 Command Copies Interior......fire located.......Anders and I will be back in shortly to assist, keep spraying down ALL the boxes, Pallets, Walls etc etc make certain we dont have any flair ups, also Have the Ladder crew remove the Sheetrock and Insulation from the ceiling, we dont want the weight of the water to Collapse the ceiling. "

' Alrighty Jack lets head back on in. '

* Jack and I start making our way back into the structure, through the main Lobby and down the stairs until eventually we see the crews battling the fire. *

*I back away until I see my team*
'Guys, get some some water over on the fire that about took my face off'

*i finish hooking the wall and start working on the ceiling again feeling stuff bouncing off my head as it falls*

"Rescue 1 command to interior, I'll be setting up a ppv near the basement door."
*I go to the rear compartment and pick up my ppv out of there. I then wind the electrical cord out of the compartment and wrap it around the handle of the ppv so I can walk to the door freely without having to winder about the cord falling all over the place. I bring it inside the semi smokey lobby without my mask on which I know is a safety breach so I jog in and set it down. I unwrap the cord and plug it in then flip the ppv switch. I then make sure its working and I see more smoke being pulled out. I then back up and run out of the lobby and get some fresh air.*
'Wooo.'
"Rescue 1 command to interior team, the ppv is set up inside."

'Alright Floan'

I walk over to the RA and get some water after Mitch takes over for me. Then I mask up again and follow Floan through the lobby then back down the stairs. where I can see that some of the smoke has begun to clear. I go back to where my pack was and find it isn't there anymore.

*I hook up a crosslay and chrage it. Then I head inside. Once I reach the basement, I turn on my air. I head near the other men, still seeing thick smoke. I finally catch up with them and see some fire. I spray it with a fog.*

"Davis to Raven, I've reached the interior attack crew and I'm beginning interior supression."

'Thanks for the water Davis!'
*I walk back to my team*
'How's it looking guys? I may need to head back for rehab'
*I look at the guage and ee it's early empty'
'Matthews I'm gonna head p for rehab'
"SEV to RA, I'm heading up for rehab Be prepared"

'Well, you're welcome.'

*I take over spraying the area where Botfish was.*

* I notice Anders looking for his Pack and I cant help but think how in the hell did he lose it in the first place.*

' Jack forget the ALS Pack, for now lets concentrate on the fire, we'll find that after this is over and .....Damn......how in the hell did u lose that......lets just start helping the Ladder tear out this ceiling and let Matthews hit the rest of the fire '

" Pump-11 Command to Pump-11 Matthews, im back in the basement and assuming command, continue your suppression.....Jack and I will assist the ladder in tearing out the rest of this ceiling. "

*I help Tim drag the hoseline to the fire and back him up.*

'Good knock Tim!'

(no idea what i'm doing, been busy)

I walk over to Ewan 'You have any orders for me cap?' I say as I check my SCBA

*I walk out of the basement and head over to the RA*
'"Botfish to Matthews, I'm at rehab"
'Hey guys! I'm here for rehb'

' got it floan, ill be heading up for re hab in a sec after i finish some ventiliation'
* i take my hose and turn it on a fog pattern and begin to spray out the window drawing a lot of the smoke out*
' someone come take this line, my tank is empty, i have to head up to re hab, im not feeling to good' i say while sweating like crazy
* i give the line off and begine the trip up to the lobby and out to the RA for rehab where i take my gear off and sit in one of the charis*

*i finish hooking the ceiling and hear my low air alarm going off, and walk over to jess*
'Hey ima head out im outa air'
*i head out and head to the RA for rehad*

' Yea bruce go ahead an ddo what u need to do, Anybody that needs rehab go ahead and take it now. Jack u and I can finish up tearing out some things in here then head out. '

* I take my mask off and start using the Pike to tear at what's left of the ceiling. *

" Pump-11 Command to Pump-11 Van Der Water, can you bring me in a H2O Extinguisher and bring in a Halligan to assist in Overhaul please. "

(i left mine down there my hook, hallagan and water can should be down there)

'Hey everyone! Are you all her for rehab too?'

*I entinguish a spt of fire and keep the og on the wall. I spray the ceiling too. Some debris falls on my helmet.*

*I look down at my air supply and see I have som air left.*

'Im still good for right now Lt. what do you need?'

((@Floan - I was taking about my high rise pack, someone picked it up don't remember who though lol))

'Alright lets get this done with then.'

*I let air flow freely through my mask and can still smell some of the smoke. I take my gloved hands and start sorting out burnt boxes of bobble heads of some person or animal, and untouched boxed.

' Yea John can you come assist us with overhaul, Hey btw everybody lets make certain we got all the tools both from our unit and te Ladder as well, nothing gets left behind in here. '

* I take a step back and watch as the overhaul continues, I start looking for anything out of the ordinary. I look up and around and see nothing much popping up. *

' Jack u and John good to go??? im gonna go upstairs and see if any units can clear. '

*I look around to see if there's anymore fire, but all I see is smoke.*

"Davis to P-11, is the fire out?"

" COPA, Pump-11........ Fire is out and Overhaul is almost complete at this time. BREAK Pump-11 to All units on scene can I get a PAR report at my Engine please.."

* I walk up and out of the building and notice a long line for reha and chuckle a bit. I walk over to the RA which is providing Rehab to the units on scene. *

' Sup all how is everybody today lol. '

*i poke mitch*
'Hey we gonna do something here'

(Nothing yet. You commandeer that patient paramedic)
"Rescue 1 command to Cressler, hows that patient doing?"
*I go over to the truck and put on the scene lights facing towards the museum. I then go back over to the lobby and see some smoke going away so I report it to COPA.*
"Rescue 1 to COPA, update on crew, Pumper 11, Squad 1 and Ladder 1 are working on the museum fire while RA-1 has been rehabbing personnel and my crew is working CPR on a unconscious female victim that was found inside."

'Rodger I got lead can you get me some vitals and do a quick look over her tell me what seems out of place.'

" COPA, Pump-11...... Overhaul is complete, units ca start mopping up and packing their gear at this time. BREAK Pump-11 Command to Rescue 1.....Status report on your patient please. "

*I hear that we can start packing up and go to the ladder and bed the ladder and then start pulling the outrigers back in place getting ready to go back to the station.*

*As I walk up the stairs with the Lt. and then outside to get rehab I see the victim still there.

'Hey Lt. can I go help with the women? Or should I just let Rescue take care of it?'

" matthews to pump 11 command, i am in rehab, accounted for BREAK matthews to anders, i used your hotel pack down in the basement, you just need to disconnect it"
* i take my halligan and set it on the ground near the rest of my gear*

' Jack definatly, go help out. '

" Pump-11 Command copies Matthews, enjoy your rehab lol. "

* I walk over to the Engine, open my door and throw my pack Off my shoulders and onto the floor in front of my seat, I then take off my coat and set it on my seat, grab a bottle of water from my cup holder and start walking over to the RA to see if everything is going ok with the victim. *

" Pump-11 to Ladder 1......Whenever u guys are good to go, u can clear. "

'Okay'

*I take off at a jog that is weighted down by my pack and get over to where Mitch and Moon are. I can see they have just shocked the women with the defibulator and I see Mitch go down to look for a pulse.

'Who has lead and whats been done here? Do you two need help?'

"P-11 Colwell to P-11 Command, I an still in the basement performing overhaul."

*I take my mask off and turn off the air flow and start knocking around the boxes.*

" Command to Colwell, come on out after everything is picked up, I will send Van Der Water in to help carry things up. "

' Hey Casey, can you head on into the basement and help Colwell get everything out of there, meaning all our gear dont start emptying the basement of contents lol. '

(CPR is in progress guys. lady with smoke inhalation unconscious when pulled out)
"Rescue 1 command to Pump, standby for victim update."
(Really tired, just came back from EMT testing. Goodnight)

"Sure thing.
*I go down to the basement.*

*I head back outside and disconnect my line. I roll it up and throw it on the truck. Then I take off my SCBA and put it in the truck. I make sure all the tools are put away and then I close and lock all the equipment doors. I take off my jacket and helmet, put them on the driver's seat, and turn off some lights. I keep the floods on.*

'Hey Raven, would you like me to do a quick check with the TIC?'

*I grab a mask out of the closet and hook it up to the oxygen in the rig.*
'Got those vitals for me? can you start an IV. as well?'
*i grab the monitor and hook up the leads and turn it*

*I grab the water exstinguisher and haligan that Bruce left downstairs and bring them out to the truck before walking over to the RA for rehab*
'Hows it going guys?'

*I hear someone coning down the stairs and see its Casey.*

'Hey, Casey. I'm not sure what all is down here. I'm going to go roll up the hi-rise pack, if you want to walk around to see if you see something.'

( just gonna get out of re hab)
* after i get the all good from the RA i put my gear back in one of the compartments along with the halligan and take the pump out of gear and shut off of the emergency lights*

(Me too! This is taking too long!)
*I also get the OK from the RA and help roll up my hose*
"SEV to OSC, is it ok to clear? Or, do you need help with something?"

'Okay, vitals and IV'

I take my fingers and look for a pulse, I don't feel anything, I lean down and listen for a breath but don't hear anything. Then I check her throat and can still see the thick black soot mixed mucas in her mouth.


'Moon, she dosen't have a pulse and isn't breathing, By the looks of her throat she has succum to smoke inhalitaion.'

*Then I go into my ALS bag that is still out here and get a needel and bag for the IV. I take the womens arm and look for a vein before inserting the needel.

" Pump-11 Command to SEV Botfish.... Copy that you can clear and thank you for the assistance. "

' Tim, im gonna make sure we're good down there then i'll brb, and we best hurry too, Im going Salsa Dancing with Illyanna after this and damn I cant be late lol. '

* I walk back into the lobby and down the stairs to the Basement where I see Casey looking for the rest of the tools and John rolling up his pack. I come over to John and help him to make certain the roll is tight. *

' Alright u guys lets get out of here and turn this over to the PFD Investigator. '

"10-4, seeya you guys back at the station"
*I take off my turnouts then shut off my lights and head back*

" COPA...Pump-11.......Fire is out, Overhaul is complete.....Can you dispatch PFD Fire Investigator to this location for follow-up. Also can you dispatch PEMS to location for patient transport. Assignment is available to clear when ready however I will be Holding Pump-11 and Rescue-1 until patient is transported. "

( Havent heard from the RA crew since before Tuesday, thats the reason for the PEMS request. )

* I walk over to the back of the RA and see that they have begun CPR on the victim. *

' Guys shouldnt we get her transported, we can do this work on the way no? I mean whoever can get her there quickest, the RA or PEMS lets just make it happen.... If the RA is gonna take her then I'll Cxl PEMS but just let me know '

'Hey Raven, you ready to go?'

*I climb into the driver's seat and turn off the floods. I put the truck in drive and wait for everyone to get in. Then I put on the headset and wait for clearance.*

' Jack, in light of the current Situation with the RA, PEMS will transport the Patient to the ETC, can you drive the RA back to the station when we clear? '

* I walk over to Matthews in time to see the PEMS Ambulance arrive on scene. the Men get out and immediatly head over to assist with the patient. *

'OK guys, we're clear.'

"Squad 1 to COPA, we're returning to station."

*I pull out, honk the airhorn, and drive back to the station.*
