The squad turns around the final corner and I start to apply the gas again. Through the fog a shape appears in the middle of the street. "Oh shit!" I say and slam on the breaks, but it's too late. The sound of metal hitting metal is too aparent. "Shit shit shit." I say. I pick up the radio as I turn on the directional lights. "Squad one to COPA we've hit a pedestrian. We're going to need an ambulance." I say. "Florian and Jackson, take entry tools and an extinguisher to the house, it's half a block away radio me." I say and get out, "Davis, back board." I say and grab the ALS bag and rush over to the pedestrian. "COPA be advised pedestrian is a child."

I hear Squad 1's Transmissions and curse... loudly.

"Dammit, COPA Copies, see if you can get info, I'm sending Patrol and ambulance now."
"COPA Requesting patrol units in the area of Trulit Road, we've got an accident involving ERT by Peach road. We need the area shut off."
"COPA to any MEdic unit available, code three to Trulit road by Peach Road, we've got a unit involved in a hit. No more information to be broadcasted over radios. All patient information to be broadcasted over EAT only"

I open the ALS bag and pull out the C-Collar.
"Hey!" I hear and I turn around, a man with a baseball bat is moving towards me. "Back up, police are on the way, get back on the sidewalk, now. Davis, when you get over here help start an I.V." I say.

*I shut off the siren as I pull up* I go around the truck carefully, watching for any firefighters or bystanders through the fog, as I come to a stop, I unbuckle my seatbelt, pick up the radio*

"EMS-1 out, traffic on EAT from now on."

*I drop the radio on the console, press the anti theft, and put the keys in my pocket as I get out. I run to the other side, getting the jumpbag, slamming the door and running over to Raven. I kneel down, unzipping the main part of the jump bag*

'What happened, Ewan?'

* I look over the kid*

*I pull up and block off the street with my cars directional lights on*

*I step out of my car, and run to my trunk and pull out my cones and block the road off*

"I was going around the corner and this kid just came out from between the parked cars, damnit." I say. "Can you start I.V. I got low BP, and low heart rate, breathing is slow and laboured, cyanotic as well." I say and grab the O2 from the truck.

The man with the base ball bat starts moving in again.

*After putting the cones down, i run over to assist emt's with the man with the baseball*

'Sir, please step back up on the sidewalk and standby, I'll be right with you'

*I run over to emt's*

'whats going on? Do you know who this guy is?'

Through my mobile EAT, I contact Raven's miniEAT
'Raven, if parents are around, or anyone looks upset, call booth over to detain'

"No we don't-" I hear my mini EAT go off and read it and reply back with a "Wilco" "Can you knock on the doors and see if anyone is missing kids."

*I jump out of the squad in shock and grab a backboard. Then I get an IV and head over to the patient.*

'Alright Raven, I've got everything. Let me get an IV here. Have the ALS guy run it, I can't.'

*I give the IV to the medic and then I turn around and see the guy with the bat.*

'Hey man, you can't see anything in this fog! Give us a break OK, we have this under control! Please, let us do our job.'

*I grab the backboard and put it over by me.*

*I grab a bag of lactated ringers solution, and start the IV.*

'You got somebody getting a backboard?'

'Yeah man I have one right here!'

*I run over to this guy with the bat*
*I draw my firearm*
'Sir put the bat down now, and put your hands up'
he doesn't comply
*I move behind the guy and put him in a headlock and take him down on his belly, i grab his hands and place them behind his back, *hes fighting with me* *I manage to put handcuffs on him and roll him up so he's sitting on the ground*

'Alright the IV is secured, let's get this under him.'

*I get a roll of tape out of my pocket, and take my scissors out of my pocket and put the on the floor. I slide the backboard under him, and place it next to him.*

*I help McGuire put the backboard under the child.*

((Everything's fixed guys!))

*I pull the guy up on his feet and we walk to my patrol car*
'Sir do you have any weapons?'
'no, sir.'
*I pat him down and find a pocket knife and thats all*
'Sir I just asked you if you had any weapons and you said no'
'Well...'
'Well nothing, what are you doing over here?'
'Thats my stepson'
'Okay so why did you have a bat?'
'I wanted to see how he was'
'Well thats not a good reason, I asked you to step back and so didn't the emt, so now you have to face the consequences, You are under arrest for resisting arrest and obstructing justice'
*I read him his rights*
'Do you understand your rights?'
'Yes sir'
*I go to my car and open my back door and place him in the back seat, then I buckle him in*
*I walk over to the Captain Raven*
'Hey captain do you need any help? The guy with the bat was the step dad and I had to arrest him'

I check the pupils. "They're unequal," I say "Let's get a splint on the leg theat made contact with the truck. "Check the extremedies."

"PC-1 to PC-6 Could you come assist me here at the accident I have one in custody"

'Got it boss.'

*I head back to the squad and get an EMT bag. I go back over to the child and get a traction splint out of the bag. I slowly lift up his leg and quickly tape the splint around it.*

'There you go, how's that?'

*We get the backboard under the child.*

*I pick up the scissors and cut up the center of his shirt to check for abdominal injuries. Rib fractures are apparent on the right side, as well as bruising, and cool skin.*

'I think he's got internal bleeding'

*Raven comes back with the oxygen*

'I'll start the oxygen, you get the mask on him and just let the bag fill up'

*I get the black, key thing, chained to the top of the tank, and twist it to start the oxygen, then I turn the knob to '10'*

'Just put it on when the bag fills up.'

(Sorry for godmodding the O2 raven, just makes it quicker & less complicated))

'Crap man, what else do you need me to do?'

((I completly forgot thanks man.))
"Better then a warm belly." I say. I see a woman move her way through the crowd. "Nathan!" She yells and collapses crying. "Davis check on her!" I say.

((Godmod me, I gotta go in at like 5am tommorow. See everyone later.))

"Pc-6 arriving."

*I walk to Booth*

'Hey, what we got here?'

*I turn my car around and head to the scene*

"PC-8 to PC-1: I'm enroute code 1 to you"

*As I pull up to the scene I see Booth standing by his car*

"PC-8 is onscene"

*I step out of my car and put my reflective vest on as I grab my hat and walk up to Booth and Libor*

'Hey, Sarge long time no see. What do yall need me to do?'

'Oh c'mon! What now?!'

*I head over to the women and kneel over her.*

'Hello, do you hear me?'

*She wakes up crying.*

'You idiots that's my son! Is he OK?'

'Yeah ma'am he's fine. He's gonna be alright, we're so sorry it was an accident. Come on, follow me.'

*I get her on her feet and slowly walk her to the ambulance. Then I get her a bottle of water and get her some tissues.*

*Talks to Sgt. Libor*
'Hey sarge, this guy walked up to EMT's with a baseball and they asked him to step back to let them do their jobs, he did it again and I asked him to backup onto the sidewalk, he left and came back with a baseball bat. I drew my weapon and asked him to drop it he refused I put him in a headlock and took him down he resisted but I got the cuffs on him I then searched him after he said he had no weapons other than the bat and I found a pocket knife. I then read him his rights and placed him in my car' So should we arrest him or let him go with a citation since thats his stepson that got hit?

'Lets just keep people back and traffic out so the medics can do there job. Dave, you can talk to his family to see what happend, etc. Go ahead and bring Booth with you. I'll go over and talk to the step dad and see whats up. He have his wallet, etc. or did you take that?'

* I hear the activity on the Portable at my house. *

" COPA, Pump-11 do you need an additional unit to respond on this? "

'You got it Sarge'

*I walk over to the ambulance and speak to Davis*

'Davis, is this the mother? Or do you have any idea where she is?'

'No sir, he has that, he was fighting with me so I just wanted to get him in the car immediately'
*Walks with Dave to question family*

((Just woke up for some club soda.))

"I got two guys on foot going to check the house, if you wanna check on them and give tehm a ride back be my guest."

*I walk up to the distraught woman*
'Excuse me mam, Officer Booth ERT PD, Is this your son?'
'Yes, Officer'
'Alright, It appears your son was hit by an ERT Vehicle and the EMT's are taking good care of him'
'I know they are, I just hope he'll be alright'
'Well mam, I don't know how he is doing but I will find out right after I ask you a few questions, alright?'
'Sure'
'Is that man in the back of my car your husband?' *Points to squad car*
'Yes, why is he there?'
'He tried to hit me and EMT's and Fire Fighters with a bat and he resisted'
'Is he going to jail?'
'Thats up to the Sgt.'
'But do you know why he is out at this time?'
'He was walking to the store'
'Alright mam, please stand by for a minute'

*Walks to Dave and fills him in and then walks to the Sgt. and fills him in*

" Pump-11 to Squad 1 Raven, Up to u cap, If u need us we can respond, if not we're gonna stick at the party here. "

*Walks over to Sgt. Libor*

'Sarge I questioned the mom, she said the kid was walking to the store'

*Walks back over to the scene*

"CI-1 To COPA do you need me to respond?"

I jump out of the squad and go to help my fellow members 'Captain, Davis, what do you need help with?' I ask

*I pull up on the scene and shut down my lights to less lights and grab my radio mic.*

"SUP2, I'm onscene."

*I wait a second and then I grab my work cell and call into COPA.*

'Hey its SUP2, can you please start the state police to do the investigation of the accident, asap?'

*I then weave into the cones and park behind booths vehicle. I then get out and throw my vest on and walk over to the from of the squad and I start takin pictures. I then look around the scene.*

*I walk over to Sergeant Ledger*

'Hey, how are you doing?'

*I pull up onscene and shut down my siren and pull up alongside of the squad and hop out. I then walk over to where the kid is and just stand back and look at him and then I look around at the crowd as I see a bunch of media arriving.*

'Oh just great!'

*I then walk back over to my truck and hop in and look up something on the EAT.*

*I also see the media crews arrive and I walk over to the fire chief*

'Hey chief, do you want me to hold them back a block or two out?'

'Just keep them back back about half a block. We don't want them to see anything, plus we don't want them being to nosy. Nice to meet you by the way, I'm Chris McEvoy.'

*Shakes booth's hand*

'Jackson, your with me, grab your irons and a TIC, I'll grab mine and a extinguiser. We go to the house, lets hurry!'

I say as I grab my irons and an ABC extinguiser and wait for Daniel

'Hey you guys wanna hop in I'll give you a ride down there?' *I say to the guys as they are walking by*

*Shakes Chief McEvoy's hand*

'I'm Officer Shawn Booth nice to meet you also, I'll go hold them back'

*Walks over to media journalists*

'Everyone I'm Officer Booth ERT PD please back up about a half a block, We need to preserve the scene, Thank you for your cooperation'

*I walk over to my car, open my drivers door, and pump the trunk, I go to my trunk and remove the crime scene tape, then close my trunk and go to where the journalists are and put the crime scene tape up and I walk back over to the journalists*

'If everyone could stand behind the tape please, and if anyone passes it, you may be subject to criminal charges, Thanks for your understanding'

*Stands next to tape to keep everyone back*

'That would be nice Chief' I say as I walk toward DFC1 'Jackson, we are riding with the chief, hurry!'

I open up the compartments on the truck and grab the TIC and Irons as well as one of the EMT bags just in case. 'Ready to go Jansen.' I reply as I head over to DFC1 and climb in the back.

'Alright lets go guys.'

*they hop in and I drive down the street and park out front.*

'Here you guys go.' *I hop out with them*

'Thanks Chief, you mind doing a 360 of the building? Jackson check the door with the TIC'

I grab all my stuff out and turn on the TIC, and start to move it around the door seeing nothing in the immediate area around the door. 'Nothing that I can see straight behind the door, not sure if there's much else there.' I say, slinging my EMT bag over my shoulder, just in case.
