Residential Alarm Active

*I walk over to the Sarge*

'Hey Sarge i'm gonna clear here, and transport this guy for booking'

"PC-1 To COPA I'm going to be clear from here with one in custody, enroute to the station"

*I go to my squad car, open the door, jump in, close the door and pull out of spot, I then turn around and clear the scene, I then turn off my lights and sirens and head to the station code 1*

'Leave the bag in the car, we don't need it, let me force the door'

I grab my halligan and force the door, it opens with no problem, looks like it was unlocked 'Oops, guess it wasnt locked haha'

I start searching the residence

'Alright.' I reply, putting the bag next to the door of the house and following Jansen in, using the TIC to check around, not seeing much in it as I look around the lower floor, as I point it upwards I see something flashing on the Camera. 'Jansen, seems like there's something upstairs.' I shout over.

*I walk around the building and see nothing. I then radio the guys inside*

'I see nothing out here, It looks pretty clear.'

"Thanks Chief, Jackson spotted something upstairs, gonna check it out."

I go upstairs and find a small metal trash can, small flames come out. I take the pin out of the extinguiser and put out the bin.

'Jackson, can you put open some windows? I'll take this outside'
"Jansen to McEvoy, uhh it was a small fire in a trash can, it's out, im taking the trash outside, Jackson is gonna ventilate, please inform COPA, out"

I put the TIC on the floor and quickly open up some of the upstairs windows, allowing smoke to get out of them as I open up the last one. 'Wonder how that started.' I say, not really wanting an answer as I grab my stuff and check the rest of the rooms.

'Copy that guys.'

*I switch the radio back to COPA main.*

"DCF1 to COPA, the fire alarm was a small trash fire in the residence and has been extinguished. We will be ventilating the residence."

I walk out, togheter with Jackson 'Chief, you might wanna inform PPD to wait here for the owner, then we could head back to the squad'

I find nothing else upstairs and head out with Jansen, grabbing the EMT bag as I step outside. 'Well, owners not gonna be happy about a busted front door, and a lost trash can.' I smile slightly at the thought, then remember the kid. 'So where now boss?'

'Hey Raven, are we ready to transport the child? McGuire, are you ready?'

*I head over to the cops while I wait for a response.*

'Hey guys, what did the women say? Was that her husband? What was the kid doing?'

'Yeah, uhh.'

*I look around for a the bag with the straps for the backboard. I reach over and pull it over*

'If you can strap him and secure him on the backboard, I'll go get the stretcher.'

*I stand up and walk to EMS-1, I press the unlock button, then push the bumper up, and open teh doors. I push the metal bar to unlock the stretcher, pull it out, and once it won't come out anymore, I press pull the black handle to drop teh wheels, they lock, I release the wheels fromt eh ambulnace, and roll it next to the kid, and lower it. I unbuckle all of the restraints.*

'Pick him up and put him on the stretcher when you're ready.'

*I look over to the police officers*

'DId any of you get a name for the boy from his parents?'

'Ok McGuire!'

*I turn around and go over to the backboard. I get the straps and put them through the holes on the backboard and then around the child. I tighten them down and call to McGuire.*

'Hey, I'm ready. Let's load him up!'

*I look over at McGuire and walk over to him*

'I don't believe Booth got a name let me check real quick'

*I come back a few seconds later.*

'McGuire, his name is Jeffery'

'By the way, yall need any help?'

'Thanks Lafferty, if you can get his full name and address and all that can you just send it to me over the EAT? We'll be transporting shortly. And we're good here, thanks.'

*Alright, you take the head end, and we'll lift on 3 onto the stretcher, buckle him in, then on 3 to lift the stretcher.*

'1, 2, 3.'

*We lift the backboard onto the stretcher, we lay it down, buckle all the straps, then I look at Davis again.*

'1, 2, 3.'

*We lift the stretcher while I'm pulling the black lever, the wheels drop and lock*

*We roll it to the ambulance, the small wheels on the end lock on to the ambulance, I hold up the stretcher holding the black lever while davis brings the wheels up. I push the stretcher in, and it locks*

'Thanks Davis.'

*I step in, shutting the doors. I unplug the oxygen mask fire Squad 1's O2, and attach to the ambulance O2, I turn on the oxygen, and twist the knob until it comes on. I hand the chart to Jaime.*

'You all set? I'll be right back.'

*I shut off FDs oxygen, step out the side door, and bring it over to Raven.*

"Here's your oxygen.'

*As I walk back, I retrieve the jumpbag and my tape and scissors, put the tape and scissors in my pocket, then put the jump bag in the cabinet*

*I go up to the cab of the ambulance, put the key in the ignition, press the anti-theft button, and pull away from the scene*

"EMS-1 to central transporting one male to ERT hospital."

*I drive down Orange Road, turn onto Faith's Road, then down Peach Road and Trulit Road to get back to Trulit Interpass to the hospital.*

'You got it McGuire'

*I walk over to the mother and get further information*

*I walk back to my car and get inside and pull up my EAT*

*I then get out of my unit and walk over to Libor and see what else he needs me to do*

'Sarge, you have anything else you need me to do?'

'I've been keeping an eye on our crime scene tape and so far nobody has crossed it.'

After we're all clear I get in the cab and pull the EAT around.
"S-1 Requesting instructions.

'No, you can take off and assist in the pursuit, I'll get traffic here andclear.'

"DC, can we get traffic here so patrol can clear?"

"Police OIC to Squad 1, Traffic will need you to not move the truck for investigation."

*I hop into the driver's seat.*

'Are we goin to that fire or what? I think the guys put it out.'

*I pull over to the side of the road and turn off the lights except for the directionals.*

'10-4 Sarge'

*I jog over to my car and take my hat off while I get in and put it in my passenger seat*

*I put my car in drive and turn around and drive toward where PC-1 is at*

'PC-8 to PC-1 i'm enroute to assist you'

"Russo should be en route. I'm sending the Staff van to pick up the Squad guys, get them to give their gear to the pickup that's coming with it. We'll be using the spare while that is being investigated and repaired. TSD will close the road to public until it's ready for reopening"

"copy, I'll be clearing, put me enroute backing on pursuit, code 1."

"Jansen to Raven, we are on our way back, house was cleared, small fire."

I say as the chief drives us back

((wouldn't we want the state troopers to come out here and do the investigation? Because most agencies if they get in crashes have other agencies come to do the investigation so we dont pull favorites.))

* An EAT message arrives for the investigating officer. Patient is no longer in critical condition, and is stable. Still unconscious.

*I drive back home after clearing the call and put myself AOR on the EAT*

'Oh sorry guys! Hold on!'

*I pull the truck back to the scene in front of the road and turn on the lights to block traffic. Then I open the door and just watch the cops investigate.*

I walk over to Davis as we arrive back on scene 'Did she made it?'

I grab my gear out of the chief's car and look over the scene, hearing Jansen I wait for a reply as I look at our truck.

(Also, boss is a figure of speech and since Jansen's my mentor, I meant it like that, not as the TO.)

'Um...first of all it was a boy and we have him stabilized now. He's on his way to the hospital. As of now, he's still alive, but he's in serious condition.'

'Okay, I hope he's gonna make it. Btw, should I put my gear back on the truck? Since we're getting to use the spare?'

((When were we told that? We're using the spare after this call?))

'Hey officers are you guys done yet, can we return to headquarters?'

(police need to investigate, etc, which is why I didn't want the truck moved at all.)

"Units on scene, the two trucks should be arriving, get in those and we'll have the spare in your bay at the scene. The investigator please investigate here and now (in this topic)"

"Alright Burke, we'll be out soon."

'Hey guys, get your bunker gear too, so you can put it on the spare.'

*I head to the squad, grab my bunker gear, and turn the truck off. Then I head by the crew, put down my gear, and wait for the trucks to take us back to the station.*

(Ok i thought an outside investigator would do this i'll start tommorow)

*I see the trucks coming over the horizon. They pull up next to us and I hop in with my bunker gear. Everyone gets in and they drive us back to the station.*

"Squad 1 to COPA, we're returning to station.*

"Understood"

*I get out of my car and approach h Libor*
'Hey Sarge, Are there any non ERT witnesses to this? and did the truck have a Dash cam or anything?'

*Coming back into my office, I see that the unit cams are fully downloaded and converted and waiting in the folder for Russo*

'Russo, check your case file for this, I've got the downloaded cam footage from the dash, and the front angled video cameras we use for watching the scene remotely. Should help. I've watched them myself, and I had to watch the thermal cam to see the kid

'If thats the case then hopefully this should be pretty cut and dry. Do you know where the witnesses are currently? I will also need to talk to the driver of the squad'

(Burke can you reply to this topic? i forgot to put into the fact the previous post was meant to be a phone call to you. i need the whereabouts and names of the witnesses before i can continue with the investigation)
