High Risk Warrant 01072011Charlie

**I go upstairs; the landing is at first clear, but a door opens and a man walks out with a pistol. I fire a three round burst and force him back inside of the room. A few moments later, he emerges with another person who is holding an RPK machine gun. The person with the MG starts firing.**

'Down! Down!'

**I push Libor and Martins downstairs to get them out of the way quickly, bringing up my M16 again in case they try to move against us.**

"All officers, be advised that occupants have military weapons. We're taking heavy fire. Booth, if you have a shot, take it. The man with the machine gun has priority."

"10-4 Boss, Stand by"

*i aim my rifle to the bedroom and find the man with the rifle I put my finger on the trigger*

"All units be advised I have a shot and will be taking it"

*I pull the trigger and the guy falls down. The other guy gets freaked out and drops his weapon and hits the ground*

"Bucello the man with the rifle is down and the guy with the hand gun dropped it and hit the ground with his hands on his head"

'The way is clear! Move!'

**I motion for Libor and Martins to go upstairs before heading up myself. The body of the machine gunner is in the doorway, the RPK lying beside him. The other man is curled up on the ground beside the window, covering his head with his hands, rocking back and forth. He's obviously shaken by what happened to his friend.**

'Need cuffs!'

**Martins tosses me handcuffs and I handcuff the suspect. I then check the other man for vital signs, but he has none.**

"Booth, good kill. Gunner down with one shot. EMS should note that there is one fatality. Continue to hold."

**I pick up my M16 again and use the Masterkey to open the adjacent room. It's just a storage closet, where some ammunition and clothing are stored.**

'Alright, let's clear the rest of this floor. Libor, open the door across the way and send the dog into the next room.'

"10-4, Looking for anymore motion"

*I am happy and sad at the same time, Sad that i had to take a life but happy because he tried to shoot at my co-workers which will not happen under my eye, So I don't really feel bad afterwards*

'Alright.'

*I go over to the next door and check the handle, unlocked.*

'Alright bud, clear the room.'

*The dog understands and is ready to clear the room. I reach over, open and kick the door in as the dog charges in.*
*A suspect caught of guard jumps and falls to the ground as the dog jumps on him.*

He yells 'I give up, I give up!'

'Police keep your hands where I can see them! Backoff Zeus.'

*The suspect complies as the dog gets back still barking.*

*I take note that TAC has gunned one down and pick up my mic.*

"COPA, be advised we have one enemy fatality."

**Manuel enters the room and kneels over the suspect to subdue him. Since each officer only has one set of handcuffs, Manuel must stay with the suspect until the building is cleared and patrol officers can remove him.**

'Libor, watch the landing. I'm going to flash out the next room.'

**I crack open the door to the adjacent room and toss in a flash grenade before going in and finding that the room - the master bathroom - is empty. In the landing, the bathroom door was left open, and no suspects were inside. As I'm inside, I hear footsteps coming up the main stairs.**

"Booth to Bucello, should I clear the roof or and back you guys up inside or do you need me here?"

*I await an answer and take a break*

"Stay on the roof until the scene is secured. I hear footsteps near the landing; could be the last occupant of the building."

"10-4 I copy"

*I stay on the roof and put my eye back on the sights and look to find a window to see the possible supsect*

(Bucello, I got two on my belt.)

((I won't be able to post until the evening tomorrow. If you need to godmode Thomas or myself to come load the suspects, feel free.))

'Behind you.'
*I reload my MP5K*

*A man is stumbling up the stairs coughing, I crouch down and lean over seeing that he is grabing at his eyes, obviosuly affected by tear gas.*

'The suspect is under the affect of tear gas. I dont see a weapon in hands. You want to grab him, I'll have dog as back up.'

*The suspect reaches the top of the stairs.*

'Police, on the ground!'

*I jump and tackle him. I get his hand behind his back and cuffed with my last set of cuffs.*

'Suspect secured.'

'Libor, anyone left?'

'Dont know, we have to clear the basment on Bucello.'

*I look over to Bucello*

'On you LT.'

*I get behind Bucello, lowering my MP5K.*
'Your call'

"Booth to entry team, status update?"

*I keep my eye on the scope and see nothing*

((Sorry for the delay. My email never got a push notification that there were replies here.))

"Scene isn't cleared yet. Everyone wait for the all clear."

**After having cleared the top floor, I head out to the landing.**

'OK, the basement is all that needs to be cleared now. That was probably all six suspects, but we have to follow procedure. I'll go first.'

**I go down two flights of stairs into the basement, which is basically one continuous, unfinished room. I turn the lights on and see no one, but the basement was clearly being used to process and refine drugs. There are also unopened crates stacked in one corner.**

"All suspects in custody, but the scene isn't secured yet. The basement has been used to process drugs and may not be safe. Booth, you can return to the rally point. Everyone else, hold in place until the all clear."

((who wants to make the basement explode?))

((Let's not do that. The last thing we need is for a search warrant to become a huge emergency. We already have one death; we don't need to eliminate the whole house.))

"10-4 heading back to rally point"

*I take my eye off the scope and place my rifle into the case, I climb off the roof and jump the fence and walk back to the RRT truck*

"police oic to all units, we need a 1 block perimeter evacuated and secured."

"Police OIC -COPA, do we have an avalivble haz-mat unit?"

(Techincally, I didn't say don't destroy the house, but doing so would bump your ass so far down the rank order, you'd be cleaning the cadet's underwear for a year, also Libor, you're not OIC, techincally, since this is a TAC call, Lt. Bucello outranks you, though if he said you were, then you are oic)

"COPA to libor, we've got HAZMAT that can be available to clear the scene if requested. What's the need?"

(I din't said to blow it, that is why i asked first )

((To answer your question, our sniper took out a heavy machine gunner while we were clearing out the top floor.))

"COPA, the basement has been used as a major drug processing area. Add to that the fact that there's traces of tear gas and a whole ton of ammo here and we could have the potential for an explosion with ammunition cooking off. Until we can be sure it's safe, non-entry team members and non-HAZMAT members need to remain clear."

"Understood, I'll request Rescue 1 to check the scene and ventilate it"
*I alert the station 2 of their call out, with little entusiasm in my voice*

"Traffic copies the evac order, sergeant." I walk back to the car. 'Thomas, we're blocking the scene for Hazmat. Take the car around and cone off the streets, I'll go door to door. He nods, both of us feeling uncomfortable about cordoning the scene with a perp in the car, but he pulls off to start blocking the roads.

I head to the nearest house and knock. 'Police, we need to Evacuate the block!' There is no answer, so I move to the next house. An older woman answers the door. 'Ma'am, I'm sorry to bother you, but there are hazardous materials in the area. We'll need you to find a place to stay for a few hours.'

'Officer, my oldest son is the manager of a sporting goods store a few blocks away. We could set up some chairs and lemonade.'

I smile and nod. 'That would be wonderful, bless your heart.

(I know, but I'm still in charge of patrols so I figured to be clear. and besides, he's tac oic, I'm police oic.)

'Rescue 1 in scene.'
*We somewhat quietly arrive on scene and I get out. I look around wondering who I should talk to.*
'Hey Mitch, we may need to vent the place using a ppv so get that ready for me.'

*I walk over to hannahan and fill him in on what I know*

'hey Hannahan, Officer Booth I am the sniper with TAC RRT, the rest of my team is in their we have a 1 block perimeter set up and are evacuating everyone in the vicinity we have 3 officers and one K9 in the house, at this time we believe its a possible meth lab as far as I was able to tell, My boss is inside and he has more info'

"Sure, on to it. Oh and by the way, what is the situation I didn't get the EAT notification, just the tone out. I got to get my EAT checked."

I open up the locker where the PPV is and get it ready for Hannahan.

*I hop out of the truck*
'Alright Lt. what do we got here haz-mat? I can't see the eat from the back seat and i didn't hear the tones.'

*I throw my coat own but leave the front un buttoned.*

**I go out of the house and over to the fire crews.**

'Glad you guys are out here. Basically, the TAC team was instructed to serve a high risk arrest warrant on that house back there -' **I point to the house.** '- and seize the contents. Well, sure enough, everyone in the house was armed, at least one with a machine gun, and we found that the kitchen and basement were used for drug making and processing. Add to that the fact that there's lingering tear gas in the basement and a whole ton of ammunition stored there, the last thing we need is for the house to blow up and start cooking off the ammo.'

"LT., may i escort Lieutenant Hannah?"

((Assume I'm finishing up evacuations and Thomas has coned the area off. I have an interview with the local FD after work tonight, so I probably won't be on until tomorrow.))

'Go ahead, Manuel, you can bring them downstairs. Once the area is rendered safe, we'll remove the casualty, bring the suspects to patrol cars to be taken away, and turn the scene over to investigators. They'll have a lot to go through.'

'Yea guys, we're just supposed to make sure the lab is safe for investigators but Mitch, your staying out here. Moon, get another ppv and set it up around the back. I this place will need to get aired out.'
*I get my hazmat gear on and make sure that everything is working including my mic and my SCBA. I grab the four gas monitor as well as my toolbox out of the compartment behind me.*
"COPA, can we get our hazmat teams here code 2 to help me out here. I may need some help out here."
'Mitch and moon, after those fans are set up, get all windows on the upper floors open.'

*I pull up onscene and park behind the rescue and put myself on scene by the EAT. I then get out and walk up to the rescue.*

"Hey guys, Long time no see."

'Smashing windows Lt.? i'm in."
*I grab one of the long pipes but seem to forget about the PPV I start poking the pole through the windows. Man I love this i think to myself.*
'Hey Lt. can i be the designated window break from now on?'

'Backdraft starter said what? Yeah go ahead haha.'
*I get my gear on then go to Chris.*
'Hey Chief. I'll be back. I called for hazmat and I'm about to go downstairs to check it out so I'll be down there for a while. I hear a good fire is going on at that museum.'
*I say while getting my gloves on. I watch as the windows are broken.*
'Mitch, after your done with the ppv, can you go upstairs and break those windows if you could make it there before Moon does. Moon! If you go inside, wear your SCBA. I'm serious. Too much CO up there.'
*I sigh and go over to Manuel.*
'Alright officer, I'm ready. Where's this lab?'

'Hey Hannahan, Yeah I might have to head down there in a couple.'

*I monitor the current status of the fire alarm*

'Alright Chris. Let me know if you need us.'
*I wait for Manuel to show me where the room is becuase seeing I wasn't the one breaching the place, I have no idea where it is.*

'Will do'

'yeah yeah boss something about scuba you know me safety first'
*I say with a sarcastic laugh as i continue breaking out windows*

*I walk downstairs with Manuel and I tell him to stand on the stairwell. Sure as ever, my CO levels on my gas monitor goes up a bit. Not enough to kill you but bad enough to make you very sick for a while.*
'I can't believe people actually made things down here.'
"Uh Rescue 1 COPA, what's the ETA of that hazmat team?"

'So, Hannahan, is there a elevated risk of danger?'

(You are the hazmat team rescue 1, at least two of you are cert'd in HAZMAT. )
