'Yeah. Unless you want to get sick...I don't think you can come down. Uh, you may need to get your investigators here in about three days so this place can air out....a lot. Way too much CO for an investigation to be running continually down here.'
"Hannahan to Cressler, get your hazmat gear on and come down here and help me dismantle this stuff."
*I sigh then bend down and start to unscrew the bolts connecting the different pumps and bottles.*
'God, I love this job.'
*I open my toolbox and get the wrench and keep going.*

'So, maybe i should get a HAZMAT suit?'

(but we don't have haz-mat suit or do we now?)

(We always had one. We're rescue 1! We have everything.)
'Well I can't let you get in a hazmat suit unless your trained sir.'
*I look up at Manuel.*
'Are you trained in Hazmat?'

'Manuel, get a gas mask from the HR truck. TAC has masks for when we use tear gas; put that on. To answer your question, Hannahan, no one in TAC has any HAZMAT knowledge.'

'Awe man lt. do i have to put the bubble on?'
*my mood goes slightly down*

*I look at bucello*

'Sorry mate but a mask will help until it gets on your skin then you gotta get naked in the showers i'm not in the mood for seeing anyone well any male naked today so stay out here till we find out whats in there'

((Carbon monoxide isn't going to have any adverse effect on his skin to bring you guys down... And he's already been in the vicinity of it anyway. He's wearing the same gear he uses to go through tear gas in the first place.))

"Traffic 1 to Lt. Libor, the area is quarantined. Requesting permission to take the suspect in our car to the station. Also advise on relief unit, as we are the only traffic unit in the city on duty at this time."

(I'm in the basement. Just letting you know. Oh and Morrigan, I forgot to mention that only people with hazmat gear on can enter well that's how we do it where I live. So I don't want crap to get all over his clothes which is why I asked him to stay out )
'Ok.'
*I refocus my attention on the dismantling project in front of me. I sigh and keep doing keeping all bolts on the table in front of me. I then go to the next table and start doing that also.*

'Hannahan, i'll be right back'
*I get off the basement, heading to the RRT, taking a gas mask.*
*I go back to the basement*
'I'm back.'

(We don't knw WHAT is down there, and speculation kills. All you know, you think it's a meth lab, and all the sudden, some corrosive poison is there, spills and kills you. HAZMAT situation needs a HAZMAT suit. Failure to do so results in a lecture from your higher ups.)

"Units clear to transport. TAC can pack up and head back now under orders from OIC"

((I'm sorry I think I'm being misunderstood. I was reading as Tac had already been exposed and that R1 had already metered the scene and found only CO. I was just trying to make life easier on everyone. 12 days is already kind of a lengthy call for the situation. I just thought clarifying my understanding of it could help from getting us stuck at an even longer standstill.))
"Copy, COPA. Traffic 1 en route to process one." I get in the car and we head back to the station."

"Copy Copa, Heavy Response Truck returning"
*I go back to the truck and pack my gear, getting inside the truck and driving back*

"RRT returning as well. All TAC members, be sure to shower back at base. If you feel sick for whatever reason, report it immediately."

**Once everyone gets into the RRT truck, I put the car in gear and drive back to base.**

*I watch PD leave*
"Looks like the big guns are done what do we got down there you in a level B suit or are we just going level C"

(i'm assuming we don't have level A suits because you need a special haz-mat unit for that since it heat seals the suits around you when you get in them and thats a big piece of equipment to do so.)

"M5 to Rescue, am I still needed or can I clear?"

"M5, you can clear."
*I finish another big bottle to dismantle.*
'Three to go.'
"Moon, come down in a level B."

"Patrol will remain on seen until location is clear."

"Are all windows opened up? If so, you can get the wash down ready."
*I look around and keep taking things apart waiting for Moon to come down.*

"Yes all windows are open." I say into my radio double checking they are all open. 'Sure, I'll get it set-up"

I walk over to the truck to where the open locker where all the hazmat equipment is; I pull the wash-down shower out and place it on the ground; I then pull out one length of hose to attach to the shower aswell as the hydrant tools. I walk over to the nearest hydrant and remove the cap and attach the hose to it; after that I setup the shower and connect the hose to it. However I leave the hydrant off.

"Hazmat shower is setup Hannahan."

*i think to myself*
'Mitch why aren't you hazmat certed this would make my life easier'
*I head back to the truck and climb up on top and pull a haz-mat B suit out of the top compartments and climb back down*
'Man I hate these things'
*I say as I take my turnouts off and get back to work shirt and pants then step into the new suit*
'This thing seems tighter then before'
*I put on my SCBA and make the air tight seal before tightening the head cover around it*
"Alright LT. I'm coming in need anything"
*I say as i step into the house and think to bad if he does*

"I have to agree with you Cressler, I think I will apply."

((I will really apply after this call.))

"No. I've got everything. BREAK Thanks Mitch. You can hang out up there until I need you."
*I take off another bolt and as I take it off, a cooking pot falls over but I catch it before it nearly slams down on my head.*
'Gotta be more careful.'
*I then stand up and check CO levels.*
'Still kinda high.'
*I put my gas monitor back down and keep taking things apart.*

"Copy Rescue 1. BREAK, M5 to COPA, I'm clear."

*I replace the gear and leave.*

*Moon comes down and we both finish up with the dismantling which, in all, took over 45 minutes since we got called and 15 minutes since the museum call was dispatched.*
'Alright, lets get outta here.'
*I walk back upstairs and go outside. I grab my mic to radio PD.*
"Rescue 1 command to PD, the area downstairs is safe but I recommend giving it two to three days for it to air out so it can be safer to go inside without a mask."
'Alright Mitch, lets get clean so we can respond to that museum.'

*Well this was a waste I pull out a Bio-hazard bag from the shelf and put my now useless suit in it*
'What a shame didn't even need this thing and i can't even use it again.'
*I open it up while john puts his in and tie it up*

I help pack up; I remove the chocks from the wheels but the scene lights down and turn the emergency lights off. I get in only with my turnout pants on and get ready to respond to the museum call.

"Nearly ready guys?" I say yelling out the window.

"Police OIC copies, thanks guys. Police OIC to all units on scene perimeter can be cleared, house secured and taped off. All patrol units can clear."

*I hop into the back of the truck*
'were not really going to that other job are we?'

'HELL YEA WE ARE! You know how long I've been waiting for a good fire?'
"Rescue 1 to COPA, mark us off of this call and show us en route to the Museum Fire."
*After closing all of the compartments I get in and close the door behind me. I open my map book and turn the EAT to me looking at the location of the place and who is there, what everyone is doing and so on.*

"All police units clear of 154 Second Street."
