We don't. We have Route 30 and 41, and all the side streets are pretty wide, especially in my neighborhood and stuff. The tower fits, too.

Y'all should ditch your Freightliners and have Mercedes Sprinter Boxes and a mixture of Vauxhall Zafira and Volvo XC70 RRVs, also lose the Crown Vics and get some Astras.

I don't really like Freightliner ambulances either. Oversized in my opinion. It's not that my town has tight roads, but I just don't like freightliner. I know one of the fire department ambulances are freightliner, then the other 2 are vanbulances. It's just so unnecessarily huge. lol

and yeah we want to get an aerial but at the same time it's hard to get around with one our engine barely fits out the door.

lol i got a random fact too. One of the reserve engines has a Q and an EQ2B on it because that engine is from when they were testing the EQ lol. It's a reserve tho, and nobody uses both at once.

Huh... dunno why but that just remeinded me of my dad when he took me "camping" wayyyy out on the other side of the farm when I was about 6, and we sat there and looked up at the stary night and had marshmellows. Haha I remember I couldn't sleep cause I didn't have my favorite blanket. Haha... dad just sitting there with his wind up radio listening to oldies and that camp fire cracking and poping. I wonder what my mum and dad are up to these days...

geez where I live theres about 10,000 calls a year and about 400 fires on a slow year

This is a picture of my truck. Medic 4 only ambulance stationed in our county. We have a coverage of about 600 miles, and nearest hospitalis an hour away at least. I LOVE Rual EMS.

Our area's fire station is usually 1,000 or so calls a year, but that's probably blue light calls, not aid across the city, or out of the city.

That was supposed to be square miles. We are only 32 miles from a hospital, and from one end of the county to the other takes only an hour. Plus, only 4000 people live in this county, so we only get 1 to 2 calls a day usually, like last night we had an ATV accident sent out at 10, got back at 0130 and got sent to the nursing home at 0430. So our call volume varies.

we live almost and hr away from the major hospital in the city we have some smaller ones out here but if it's serious we have to get them to the city either by helo or long drive

I feel ya, closet hosptial to us is in Hot Springs, even running code with the ATV patient, still took us 35 minutes and we barely came across any other traffic.

Jeez, I thought 15-20 minutes to our closest level 2 tramua was long going routine.

Where I live we're never longer than 5 minutes away

Tis the season for ATV injuries...

We had a 14 year old girl die from spinal injuries from an ATV accident. Now you gotta wonder what parent in their right mind let their kid go alone on one of those death machines?

Here min age is 16, and helmet is law. Still you see many 16 yearolds thinking that the helmet makes them invincible and we have to pull them outta trees, and put them in a bag. It's really not fit

Snowmobiles are another issue. They're also death traps. In Indiana, I'm not sure if there's a minimum age for ATVs or whatever.

we had to put in a minimum age for that, cause a lot of places here don't have roads, and are only accessible by boat, so the only motor transport they get is ATV. So ATVs get used not just for recreational but sometimes for praticality too. Unfortunatly, regardless how much money is made to enforce preservation laws, people still die yearly...

Maybe it's good though, natural selection will save the world. Soon we'll over run the world and all starve!

My town has a satellite hospital that serves about 7 couties. 45 minutes going code is about the longest run... gotta love first responders

Well we have a lot of roads here in my town, but in rural areas I could see where there would need to be a law. Still, it's kinda like dying from a car accident. They're the leading cause of death in the US.

Heck, we had a drowning patient on one of the lakes in our county, they kept taking the patient to every other boat dock, but not the one we were at. So, I had my first code yesterday.

theres not, they are already being posted on other sites, i didnt release any info or names or causes, just pictures, a random bystander could of taken these same pics, and in fact they did

To be honest I'd never post anything from work anywhere... hence why I don't really give out pictures or videos, nor my true location.

HIPPA only protects people due to their injuries and such, anyone could walk up to a house fire or car accident and take pictures, just not of the injured/ deceased people

*Facepalm* The Met(ropolitan Police Service) if you look at photos, you'd realise this stuff. None of my stuff violates any law, it's all public, and no victims are in pictures, plus it's not for commercial usage.

All Hippa protects is people identities you can't put a face to something if I have a psych patient and I want to talk about it I can so long as I don't give out any private information IE (address,phone number,SSN,name) or anything else that is considered private. If you had a patient you took a picture of you should probably blur out there face however like the police picture anyone could walk past and take that picture she's in public if it were in her house that would be different
