Industrial Accident at TSD

' Not quite yet, im not going to clear us until the RA pulls off. once they leave then we ca go. '

'You guys can go! we got him'

*I shut the doors and jump in the RA*

*I take a seat next to man, he is sarting to calm down a little bit.

'Cory, can you get me the BP, then keep me updated on pulse?'

*I look down and moniter the man imobilized on the backboard. I take out my pen light and check his pupils. I see that they dont respond still.

'Sir can you move your toes for me?'

*I watch the toes looking for movement, but the stay still. I write on the clipboard that the man may be be paralized at the waist down.

'Hold on guys'

*I drive towards the hospital*

"RA code 3 to the hospital get a team ready at the hospital"

Hospital: Roger that RA



(Cory, can you take it from here?)

*The man slowly closes his eyes and I start talking to him hoping for a response. I get none so I go to a pain response and dig my finger nail under his, still nothing. I quickly get ready to intuulate the man as I ge down to listen to his breaths, I do the math and he hits 3 BPM. I get the o2 tank and insert the tubes down his throat and into the treachea. I start O2 flow and look to the moniter to see a pulse. It has begun to drop. I start an IV of Ringers in the left arm and search for a vein to put it in. I hear the sirens cut out as we pull into the ETC and I start to get ready to give the patient over to the Truma Team.

' Alright u guys lets load up and go get Jack. '

* I step aboard the Engine, put my headset on and close the door. *

" PUMP-11 is available on radio. "
