*After taking the blood pressure, I remove the cuff from his arm and turn to Kelly*
'110/70.'
*I check his pulse*
'Pulse is 82.'
'Alright, well your vitals are normal, your skin looks and feels fine. You feeling any aches or pains anywhere?'
Man: 'Nah, nothing like that.'
'Okay, well like I said everything seems to be fine, I really don't think you need to go to the hospital, but it would never hurt jsut to make sure theres nothing wrong internally.'
Man: 'Well, do you think I need to?'
'I can't make you go, or not go. But personally, I really don't think you need to, at least not with us. If you've got somebody to pick you up or something maybe they could bring you by a personal doctor or the hospital. Like I said, it's up to you.'
*The man pauses for a moment, apearing to be thinking*
Man: 'Well, if you think I'll be alright, then I won't go. Don't want to waste my money or time there. Maybe I'll take myself to my own doctor tomorrow.'
'Excellent. If anything changes, don't hesitate to call 911 and we'll come back for you. If not us, then it'll probably be a truck from Phoxlind EMS. Alright?'
Man: 'Yeah, sounds good. I really appreciate you coming out, thank you.'
*I start to pack up the BP cuff and stethoscope*
'Oh, you're welcome. My partner just needs you to sign something, it basically says that you refused to go to the hospital with us, and you are no longer in our care. Okay?'
Man: 'Yeah, no problem.'
*As Kelly steps forward with the chart, I pick up the jumpbag and step over the guardrail.*
'You feel better alright? And like I said, call back if anything changes.'
Man: 'I will, thanks again.'
*I walk up to the ambulance and open the cabinet, I put the jumpbag back into it's empty shelf, then slam it shut. I key up my radio.*
"EMS-1 to Rescue, driver RMA'd. You gonna need us for anything further?"
