I don't know the driving laws here other than that the laws or a complete load of BS, and that you get a permit at 16 and license at 17.

yea kinda the same here, can get your permit at 16 which only allows you to drive with an adult..then you have to wait 6 months to get your junior liscene which you can drive by yourself but only during daylight, then if you take drivers ed you can drive 24/7 or else you have to wait til your 17

I like mine, permit at 15 if drivers ed complete and 16 for licence if you've had your permit for 6 months and pass the road test.

Iowas law: 14 learners permit (Adult required with you) 15 School permit (Can drive by yourself to and from school and school events) 16 intermediate license (cant be driving 12:30 AM - 5AM) 17 full license as long as you didn't have more than one traffic violation.

I heard this song on the radio today driving somewhere. It really got to me. The song already just gives me memories and feelings just from past events in my lifetime, but hearing this 9/11 10 anniversary version/remix whatever you want to call it really got to me. I was driving with my brother to get dinner with friends, and I was actually starting to cry a little bit hearing this.

Dammit, now I'm tearing up a bit. I'm good now but that is very VERY sad!!!

FF1 & 2 - Tests aren't hard, at least not physically, look around for some sample questions. Hardest thing is memorizing all the codes etc. at least for me.

Come to class with a positive attitude and listen a lot. Trust me, don't do stupid shit either, listen and if you forget something or are unsure ASK, they will kick your ass to the curb if you do something that is unsafe.

With EMT-B, I agree with what Raven said. To many people, the anotomy chapter is a real pain in the ass! After you pass that though, you should be good. Everything else is easy breezy and maybe if you're teacher is nice enough, she'll get medevac to do a scneario withyour local FD! Very fun!

Michigan just passed a law that you can be a firefighter at 16. THANK YOU LANSING!!!

To be honest, I don't think we have one in newfoundland at all. One of the few paid departments is the SJRFD. All of the paid departments require professional training, usually done at Marine Institute's SERT. This is owned by the Province's university, and therefore requires a highschool diploma to get in. Assuming you graduate at age 16, one year early, you get into the SERT and finish at age 18. The places with volunteer departments, well they probably only have five or less people under 18 in their community, as most smaller volunteer places, are dying communites
