James High Auto Alarm

*I finish checking the first wall with the TIC.*

'This wall's clear Lt.'

'Rodger lt'
*I head down to the basement to find the squad crew and I yell out*
'Guys you around?'

' alright'
' lets go casey, jack'
* i re-adjust the the hotel pack on my shoulder and put my irons in my left hand*
' jack or casey, do one of you have a tic with you? jack you take the left hand classrooms, casey and i will take the right hand side class rooms. once we get to the alarm site we will do a much more througho (?) search'

"What am I doing?"

((Sorry guys been busy.))

"You should be inside with your unit. Are you lost?"

*I follow behind Floan as we continue our search.*

'Schools creep me out this quiet. They should be loud and bustling.'

'Alright I can do that, I have the High Rise pack not the TIC... Did Colwell grab it? We will just have to step in the rooms and feel the walls maybe.'

*I walk with Tim and cross the halway. I open the auto shut door of the first room and look in. I don't smell any smoke but I walk the perimeter of the room feeling the walls with the back of my bare hand. It all feels cool to the touch, but I notice that three of the four walls are brick. If this is the case for all rooms, utlities can only run through the plaster shared wall. I leave the room and shut the door as I walk down the hall to the next room. I see Tim and John come out of their room together. I open the second room's door, still no oder of smoke so again I go around the room feeling the walls, all walls are again cool to the touch. In this room only two walls are cement block, the exterior and wall bordering the hallways. I walk out of the room and walk down the hall, annoyed by my pack and hose on my shoulder.

"COPA, disregard Mitch's last transmission. Daniels, you're in the basement with Firefighter Cressler. BREAK Rescue 1 command to Pumper 11 command, I copy."
*I go up to the third floor thanking my highrise training about ten times and I hang a right and jog up to John.*
'Hey John, long time no see.'

' Im good i guess, just looking for Fire. '

* I look at Colwell who is scanning the halls with the TIC as we walk. *

' Hannahan can you start checking doors ont eh left, i'll take the right here and see what we got. '

'No problem.'
*I go to the left and start peering into the door window looking for smoke or any sign of fire. I look side to side and feel nothing but cool air coming from the A/C that's on in the school.*
'I got nothing in this classroom. Imma check the next.'
*I walk over to the next door, tnt in hand, and peer in looking as close as possible for smoke of fire.*

'I mean the alarm company, 4 false alarms in a week, that isnt normal, is it?'

I check the basement for any signs of fire

* I come around the corner after checking 5 other rooms and finding nothing at all, I notice the sign hanging ceiling identifying the rooms and see the Chemistry lab ahead. *

' Hey u 2 Skip checking further lets go right for the source. '

* I walk over to the Chem lab and se that either the glass has that frost glaze to it or there is smoke in the room, I run my hand on the top of the door down to the bottom, the Door seems warmer than what a normal door should feel like. *

' Hey Colwell grab that TIC Check this door Please. '

" Pump-11 Command to all units on scene, Possible positive contact on the 3rd floor Chemistry lab, stand by for further. "

Floan, do you want me to hook up my pack?
*I start getting pumped up and exited*

"Anders copies COMMAND"

I go into the bath room now more so searching for the stand pipe then fire, and I find the pipe. I go over to it and inspect it and notice the valve to turn it on has been taken off, no doubt to the kids tampering with it.

"Anders to COMMAND, I have located the pipe, it is in the boys bathroom, the handle has been taken off the valve, we need a wrench. I am standing by for further instruction."

*I hear ander's transmission and begin fishing around for the small wrench i keep in my bunker pants. I find it. I go into the boys bathroom and give it to him. *
'Will this work?

" Pump-11 Command to Pump-11 Van Der Water, make contact with Tim Matthews and see where he needs you to deploy at, we have a High Rise Pack over here with Colwell, however if your sweep of the area where your search is comes up clear then absolutly, you all will come over here and assist. BREAK Pump-11 Command to Pump-11 Anders, get a Y connection and get ur line hooked up and charged."

' Colwell, can you give Hannahan the TIC and go connect ur pack up with Anders, then come over here and lets see whats behind door #1. lol'

* i finish my last room*
'' matthews to floan, the left hand side is all clear, no signs of fire, myself , jack, and casey will meet up with you by the chem lab, i have a high rise pack and irons with me if we need force entry''
' alright lets go casey and jack'
* i tighten all my straps up and lead the way towards floan*

'Hey Tim, I am going to get this hooked up quick. I will meet you at the Chem room.'

I walk back into the bathroom with the wrench that Casey gave me and giv it a try. It works enough so I can get the valve open after I unscrew the cap.

'CLEAR FOR FLOODING!'

I make sure no one is standing in the way of the flood of water as I flush out the pipe. Then I take the Y and screw it on and shut one side as I screw on my line.

'Casey, you wanna stand by to charge the lines once I get to the Chem lab?'

' casey i'll drop my end too and drag my nozzle, if you could hook my end up too, thanks'
* i drob the femal end of the hotel pack with casey and drag the nozzle out towards the chem lab and meet up with floan and crew*
' Lt, matthews and anders here, casey will be in a minute, have any orders for us?'

*I drag my nozzel while walking with Tim, and meet up with Floan and his crew ath the Chem room. I see the windows are fogged up and wait for my line to be charged

*I finish hooking up the hoses, and connect mine as well, but leave my valve shut.*
"P-11 Van Der Water to P-11 anders and matthews, you are good to go, let me know when to charge it, I have mine standing by as well, if you need me."

" Pump-11 Command to Pump-11 Van Der Water, charge the lines.BREAK Pump-11 Command to Squad 1 LFO We are about to make Entry into the Chem lab with a hot door. "

' Tim take that room but dont make entry until we have made entry into the chem lab. '

* I point out the room where the last alarm is going off and show it to Tim. then i turn my attention to Hannahan. *

' U ready John? u wanna take it? ' '

"P-11 Van Der Water, 10-4."
*I crank open the valve.*
"P-11 Van Der Water, lines are charged, please advise if you need me over there."

"Is that reports of fire I'm getting through here?"

"P-11 Van Der Water to COPA, yes."

*I hear the pumper crew on my radio.*

'If you need us, we're in the basement. No signs of fire down here yet.'

*I finish checking another room with the TIC, so I move to the next.*

(where am i did i find the squad?)

*I keep looking around*
'Hey squad are you around i got sent down here with you'

' you got it floan'
* i take my helmet off and put my mask of and pull my nomex over top of it and put my helmet back on as i feel my line get hard*
' floan am i gonna have some one to make entry with me or am i by myself?'
* i take a knee and hold the hose in my arm and wait outside the door*

'I'll get the door open for you.'
*I run to the door and try to open the door which doesn't work.*
"Rescue 1 command to crew, give me an update on what's happengine in the basement."
(Tell me if I missed something.)

* i see hannahan struggling with the door*
' here john, take these irons if you have to'
* i lift the irons to show hannahan and pass them off to him*

" COPA, Pump-11 Unknown contact on the other side of these doors, However doors are hot and windows are either Frost coated or their are smoky. Doors are locked and we are attempting forcible entry at this time, Stand by for further. "

' ok u guys get it open and let ssee what we got here. '

'Yeah Cresslar, we're over here.'

*I go around the room, seeing no hot spots, and move on.*

*I hand Hannahan the TIC and go hook up my line and run back. I mask up and get fully ready.*

'Ok, I'm ready.'

(Sorry been working two jobs everyday. PS didnt know I had a hi-rise pack.)

'hey there davis need anything? i feel like were on a wild goose chase here'
*I say as i practice swining the fubar*
'I wanna use this thing'

'I hear ya. I think the pumper crew found something upstairs though.'

*I take my helmet off and put on my mask and make a good seal. Next I pull up my nomex and put my helmet back on. I grab my line and feel the water pressure build inside. I take a knee outside the Chem room door, and can see Tim take a knee by the ajoining room. I wait for Lt.Floan to pop my door so I can see what is on the otherside.

'I'm ready Lt.'

'well i'm glad i'm down here then'
*I say with a little chuckle as i open another door along the corridor*

'Woah woah, one at a time guys!'
*I chuckle to myself as I think of that line as a "That's what she said" line but I digress and pop the door open using the irons. I put the TIC and TNT on the ground next to the doorway.*
'We don't need this right now. I'll be second on your line Jack.'
*I get behind Jack on his line and get ready to go in.*

'No kidding Cresslar. All of these are fine so far...'

*I scan the next room with the TIC, revealing no hotspots.*

"what do you need a tick for'
*I take my glove off*
'This is the good old days I say putting my hand up on the door see nothing here'
*I say as I open door.*

'Ok you win, but it could still be in the walls.'

*I bump Cresslar out of the way and start scanning the room with the TIC.*

( hannahan, jack is going in the room with you, im the line for the room next door or i could be the back up line to you guys if we find anything)
* i hook my mask up and pull my irons back after hannahan uses them*
' alright guys, i'll be the back up line if you guys find anything, if not i will be the first hose in for this adjoining room'

*I put my hand on the wall*
'See I can touch the wall too '
*I laugh to myself*

After the door is opened and Hannahan gets behind me I slowly make entrance into the room. It feels cold which puzzles me.

'Hannahan does it feel cold to you in here? If this is a chem room maybe it is a dry ice leak.'

I look around the room still not seeing any sign of fire. I keep my mask on to keep me from inhaling the CO2. I continue to look around the room with my hose.

'Lt. I'm not finding anything, I say we open up the ajoining room and see whats going on there. It may be fully possible that the "smoke" from the dry ice set this alarm off.'

(i don't think thats possible because it's gas not smoke but still haha)
'Feels kind eerie down here'
*I say as i feel my way down the wall and get to the next door*

((Smoke detectors work with the radioactive element Americum where if the flow of decaying particles are disrupted, it goes off. Dry ice when exposed to air gets smoky... that little bit of smoke can set off the fire alarm. At least the ones at my school XD))

*I keep searching for a source of the smoke that has filled the room when I come across a window. I simply open it to create more ventilation.

((it's also heavier then air so it sinks and would dissipate before it raised up there lol unless it was like 4 biggg leaking containers but it doesn't really matter you can still say that lol not everything we say in real life is fact based either it's a guess))

*I stop for a second when i feel the door*
'Hmm'
*I say to myself*
'I quickly touch the handle with the back of my hand'
'nope false alarm feels normal'
*I keep going down the hall*

* I Follow theline in and watch as Hannahan and Jack start checking around, I look around as well and find no signs of fire, the walls are not burned and have no signs of previous burn. *

' Wow strange I would have figured this would have been hot as hell in here since the door was hot. go figure. '

" Pump-11 Command to Pump-11 Matthews, status report please. BREAK Pump-11 to Squad 1 LFO we have NEGATIVE CONTACT in Chem lab, we are proceeding to check further, please adivse over. "
