Ander's House Fire

"I'll check, stand by."

*I switch over to the tac channel*

"Command to FF Anders, what accelerants do you think are in your basement?"

*I walk to the back of my truck and pull out our hazmat protocol and wait for anders response.*

I grab my SCBA from under my seat and grab my helmet, holding it in my hand by the strap, I climb out, fully check all my Turnouts are ready and pull the SCBA tank on my back.
'Jansen, what you need help with?' I ask as I stop next to my mentor.

* I follow jack around to the c side of the building and put my mask back on*
' man, doesnt sound to pretty down there, you sure your okay jack?''

jack and i- C side making entry to basement to back up floan

*I mask up and follow in the hose*

'Let's wait for Ewan his orders, i'm gonna ask him'

"Jansen to Raven, got any orders?"

"Jansen you and Jackson do a structural check and scouting report downstairs. Davis update on your search" I say and check the room infront of me.

"RA1 to DCF1, pn my 360 I isolated and cut off all utilities to the house from the utilities box."
*I start sweating in my gear so I take it off and stage it near the back of the RA so I can go for rit at a moments notice.*

*I tap anders is that the door?*
'jesus jack do you have a meth lab down here?'

"This is Botfih for a status update, The fire isn't moving at all. There is definently something feeding it"

"Anders to OSC, I do have a ammunition reloading room it is in the far corner from the utilites. It contains blackpowder, primers and lots of copper. The room should be closed off with a steel door and the blackpowder in a steel storage box. Other then that it is mostly paint, wood sealer, wood stain, and cardboard storage boxs."

*I see creesler walking around back with the pike pole with a disgruntled look on his face.

'Hey Moon can you pop theat glass door so we can get some water in?'

*Look gets more disgruntled*
'Do you know the pressure coming out of that hose and you need me to open a glass door....what ever.'
*I work my way up to jack and take a knee to help protect myself should anything go wrong. I take a good shove and press the tip of the pike pole into the glass and it shatters as fire comes pouring out. I head back towards the exit*
'She's all yours'

*I open the water and feel it kick more then I expected as I am pushed back into tim.

'Say what is the pressure, it seems a bit more then 125.'

'meh i woudln't know mitch is running the pumps'
*I say with a sneaky grin on my face and head back top side*
"Cressler is back out of the building"
*I head back and sit with mitch*

*I aim the hose at the fire in the building and there is a flash up when I spray near the furnace as I can see it from outside the window.

'What do you think that was Tim?'

"10-4 Cressler. Guard the pumps; both the squad and pumpers. Mitch, you're on standby until someone needs you."
*I walk over to the tanker just as it leaves to make another run.*

"I copy that anders."

*I grab my radio mic from in the back of my truck and radio COPA*

"Command to COPA, There are mostly paint, wood sealer, wood stain, and cardboard storage boxs. He then has a gun reloading room that should be safe from the fire."

"COPA Command, see if you can get an HRES in there to ensure the area is safe. If so, that'd be great. We don't want that lighting up, especially if he's got live ammunition in there, it could get real dangerous then. If you guys have enough of a feed of water there, use the foam on the pumper to power through it better"

"Botish to COPA, 10-4 entering room"
*I walk closer with my water on fog and see the door open and the safe busted. When an explosian goes off*
"An explosan jus occured. BREAK Botfish to COPA, We are gonna need PD. It looks like robbery"

"Rescue 1 to COPA, we have a ff down there who is already and HRES. We have an extra one up here though."
*I look at the basement and see fire pouring out of the basement.*
'Doesn't look good at all.'
"Rescue 1 to COPA, we have fire going through the basement. From the Alpha exterior side, it doesn't look as if it's spreading."

"FF Beard to COPA im at the basement doors ill be affecting the rescue"
*i clip on my air and dash trough the flames and fiind botfish and grab him by the SCBA strab*
'Lets go!'
*i yank hard on him and pull him back through the flames to the outside*

(he didn't say he was trapped he just said there was an explosion)

*I take my helmet off top side as i hear a loud bang and listen to the radio to see if were needed.*

"You sure you'll need extra PD there? We've got TSD there already to keep an eye out on the scene"
(i don't think we have the manpower to spare right now to make it a huge heist of some guy's ammo... )

(i know he wasnt but i wanted to make sure he got out)
*we get out side and i look at him*
'Botfish are you alright?'

"Everything looks fine out here COPA. What do you think DFC1?"
*I look around to look for him but he's not around as far as I can see.*

*I back up to the base of the stairs after the explosion and watching my bourkes warp down.*

'Wow, it got hot real fast. Is everyone ok???'

*I stay at the base of the stairs pouring water into the fire.*

"Yeah it looks good out here from down the street. Looks like smoke is lightening up."

"DCF1 to HRES units, What's the status on the inside?"

*I look over at hutch just sitting by in the RA*

*As the ball of flames shoots out of the door I turn my hose to a fog pattern. It is too late and some of the flames still hit Tim and me. I can feel the intense heat of a black powder fire. My mask fogs up and I break the seal just long enough to defog the mask. I turn the nozzel back to an attack stream.


'Hey you alright back there Tim?'

"Rodger Hannahan. If anyone needs me just yell out."

I check my SCBA is secure and I take my mask off.

'I'm fine Cressler. I just need a drink'
"FF Botfish going to rehab"
*I walk over to the RA*
'Hey Cory, i'm here for rehab'

'Ok Austin, just sit down here. I'm gonna get some vitals on you.'
*I get a quick set of vitals HR 130, RR 26, B/P 140/100.*
'Your vitals are running high, probably from stress, so go a head and lay here. Make yourself comfortable.'

'Ok'
*I grab a water, sit down, and watch the fire*

"Command to HRES Units, WHAT is the status inside?"

*I wait for the Response*

"Last I was in, It was still pretty bad the cieling was going down though. I'll get back to you"
*I suit up and go back inside with my line*
"Botfish to McEvoy, the ceiling fire is out and the walls are going down. We ar getting there"
'Does anyone need rehab?'
*I say to anyone in the basement*

'Ya, I could use a break.'

*I look down and check my air pressure and it is 1/4 full*

'Ok, go on up'

"Rescue 1 to Interior, how's it looking in there?"
*I try to get a look into the house but I can't.*

"Davis to Raven, I'm making entry into the 3rd room. Nothing in the previous ones except for some smoke. What room are the interior guys in?"

*I crawl with my irons to the next room. I check the door for heat. There's really nothing, so I open it and head inside. I see smoke, but no huge signs of fire. I crawl around the room.*

( Sorry guys, really busy)
" Floan, you think jack and i could get foam on our line, we can start to fill some of the basement"
' Yea im fine jack, lets keep moving'

" Negative Tim, keep going with water for now. BREAK Pump-11 Command to SEV Botfish, Im coming up with Colwell for Rehab, our tanks are low. "

* I motion for Colwell to head back up the stairs and the two of us climb back out of the basement and exit the structure. I walk over to the Engine, take my BA off and remove my cover. *

' Good lord its hot in there, what does Jack store down there. '

'Alright Tim it looks like the fire is dieing down enough to the point we can get in.'

*I keep the line going and Tim and I make our way through the hole in the door where the glass should have been. I step in and hit the ceiling where I can see the support beams from where drywall has burned off. I hit the ceiling with water as I hear a crack and a beam falls to my right hitting the furnace and hot waterheater. All off a sudden a blast of steam shoots up to the ceiling.

'Holy S***!!'

* I duck as the beam falls and lose grip of the hose for a moment*
" Interior to command, beam has fallen on the furnace, no injuries, requesting HRES to check out the structural intregity of the building"

"copy im on it"
*i clip on my air and head down into the basement*

"Copy guys."

*I grab my other mic*

*DCF1 to COPA, the fire is nearly contained."

*i make my way down into the basement. i can start to see as the smoke clears a bit. so i make my way down to where the beam fell and see that it wasnt a beam it was part of the A/C duct*
"HRES Beard to Command. were ok for ops down here it was just the A/C duct nothing structurly major"

"Thanks Beard. Mitch, go downstairs and help with suppression. Bring a TIC with you down there."
*I gleam at the wisps of smoke coming out of the basement.*

*I take off my SCBA and get a new bottle. I look at my scorched helmet.*

'I think it got a little warm, what do you think Floan?'

*I point to my helmet and laugh.*

"Rodger Hannahan"

I attach my SCBA mask on, and turn on the air. I run down downstairs and yell through my mask.

"I'm here guys, what do you want me to do?"

*i continue to move through the basement*
"Mitch Bring a line in with your TIC and protect any unburned parts of the house"

"Roger that Floan"
(Sorry, I was really busy)

*I walk over to Cory for rehab*

'You got some water anywhere Cory?'
