Bomb Threats in Phoxlind

"Alright Matthews, go with Jansen and search the selling floor." I say, and finnaly find an open stand pipe, I hook up and meet up with the rest of the crew. "Cressler, get downstairs with your highrise pack and serve as supression for Matthews and Jansen I yell before getting my Lapel mike. "Mike and Hannahan, vent the roof so we can get an angle with the ladder for supression. Mitch belay that order with the TIC, it's too cumbersome to use at the moment, start venting on this floor though. Beard keep exposing the sub ceiling. Captain Raven clear."

*i move down the hall and come into a closet and start hooking the ceiling as soot and debreas rain down arround me and flames start to show them selfs*

(He's online, so I guess that's time for this... It'll hurt)

*I walk along the side of the building to the front of the structure,
seeing a guy walking in all black... Not one of ours, must be FBI I
think to myself*
'Hey, what's on the go buddy?'
*nothing*
'Hey, answer me now, buddy gimme some id'
*He drops his backpack and keeps walking*
"I need bomb diffusal trained officers to the front entrance, now. Possible suspcious package"
*I walk up briskly and check the backpack, I see a smaller version of what looks to be a combo of all three previous bombs*
"EXPLOSIVE FRONT DOOR EXPLOSIVE FRONT DOOR, ALL UNITS RESPOND NOW"
'STOP NOW, You will be shot if you refuse to stop!'
*He starts running, with me on his tail, and we bolt through an alleyway
acorss from the stock exchange. He turns down another alley behind the
triage centre where I follow him and he stops, turns and pulls a gun on
me, points and i do the same*
'ERT, DROP IT, OR YOU WILL BE SHOT'
Before I can think, he pulls the trigger once, and automatically, I
double tap my trigger.I feel the burning tear of the bullet hitting the
flesh in my shoulder and my left side goes into extreme pain, he missed
the bullet vest and hit the shoulder strap. I look before dropping to
the ground to see that he has been hit as well, but is not down. I see a
figure emergening from the side of building, towards the terrorist, not
a cop, but definately ERT.
"MAYDAY MAYDAY, I'm hit. DC1 is down. Suspect hit."
I manage to scream into my radio before dropping back into the dirty
ground beneath me. I look up again, and see a struggle starting between
the figure and the suspect. I begin to pull myself up to try and help,
I'm stronger than this I know, and I can feel the adrenaline start
pumping back through my veins.
(Lafferty is the figure, it's his special order.. so don't show up until we complete our part please, he's the tending person, once he posts, I'll psot regarding it then we'll continue on )

* I pull my radio mic up to my ear*
" Ok got it raven"
* I start towards the door with jansen when i hear burkes transmission about the bomb*
' Holy $@#% this is getting out of hand'
* i run away from the front door and stage behind the trucks and wait for everyone else*

'Damn. Not another one! C'mon Mike. Grab a Pike pole. I'll get the k12.'
*I run outside and grab a k12 and I tell Mike to stay put.*
'Go across the street until they disarm the bomb.'
"All interior units, we have a possibly armed bomb outside. Standby and stay clear of loose debris."

" Pump-11 Copies Ladder 1. "

* I run over to my crew who are finishing up on the 3rd room and let them all know about the bomb and the developments outside. *

' Guys just be safe and stay away from as many loose things as possible and keep an eye out for anything right now. who knows whats gonna happen next. '

" Pump-11 to Squad 1 Command. Fire is out in the 3rd room, Moving to adjacent rooms for checking, please advise over. "

*Henry*
"Guys, avoid the front exit, if the bomb is there, you guys get away from it. Understood?"

*Upon hearing a gun shots and Burke saying he has been shot*

'What is going on?'

*I then see Burke aiming and notice someone running up to me*

*I the feel someone sticking a gun into my neck*

'Move and you die you hear me?'

'Yeah, sure thing'

'Now walk backwards'

*At that time I see Burke raise his weapon and fire at the subject*

'Move or your going to die'

'Ok, man you got it just take it easy.'

*Burke then yells hey and the terrorist looks at him and he fires*

*Due to his arm injury his shot grazes him*

'Time to die'

*Says the terrorist as he raises his weapon towards Burke*

*I then grab the terrorists weapon and get his arm behind his back as Burke rushes over and puts him in hÀndcuffs*

'Burke let me look at your arm'

*I say as I examine his arm*
'Its a through and through but you need to be transported'

*I see a PEMS EMT and tell him to give me a hand*

'Medic 4 to dispatch be advised DC-1 is down and being transported to ETC by my truck'

'Medic-4 to DEC-1 do you copy?'

Since I am the only one not inside I run to the SEV and drive up behind Hannahan. I have the ALS in the front seat.

"Mitch Daniels staging in SEV 1." I say into the COPA radio while thinking about Burke condition

'Oh Jesus.' I say as I hear about the bomb and the DC being shot, 'Matt, you coming?' I ask, as I turn to try and prepare to help out with whatever help is needed with, probably the terrorist shooting the DC. I draw my pistol and check it's loaded, and wait for Matt's reply.

'Jesus, watch him, I'll be fine, put my cuffs on him now.'
*Lafferty complies then proceeds to help me as what looks like a wave of police come streaming over*
"Bomb squad to front, bomb in backback. Hurry"
'Burke, stop, come on, can you walk'
'I walked over here didn't I?'
'Okay, lets get in the ambulance, I'll take a PEMS with me.'
'Sure'
*Lafferty treats me while the PEMS guy gets his stuff. We aren't ready to leave yet, but the ambulance is waiting*
'You know, that was some pretty tough shit you pulled back there, if I wasn't in so much pain, I'd have fired your ass... As a paramedic at least.. Once this is over with, I wanna see you in my office'

I run to the front entrance, seeing the backpack I step backwards from the entrance, keeping my weapon up and ready in case I need to use it, I slowly back up, until I'm hiding behind a car. "CE-1 Jackson has visual on the bomb, it's in a brown backpack." I say, keeping my weapon trained on the door.

'I'll be right back Cory'
*I grab my helmet and run to the ambulance that Burke is in*
'Hey Burke. Just wanted to say thanks for lettin me stay on scene before since I don't know the next time I'll get to see ya...heh.'

((sorry just now have time from school and all that, I can take back control of me Floan, thanks I have read to page 9 if someone could PM me a brief summary of what has happened it would be appreciated))

*I turn and begin to run at the call of a bomb at the entrance. I run and hit my toe on a lose beam, I fall on my shoulder. I push myself back up and keep rinning. I hear another transmission that Burke has been hit and that we are to take a back door out. I finally hit the snd floor walkway where I climb down the ladder and make way to the back climbing over debris. I find a blown out window and crawl out and run to the oppisite side of the road and finally double over to catch my breath as I notice my air alarm is going off. Next my mask is sucked to my face as all of my air is gone from my run. I quickly click hose of and take my mask off to catch my breath.

'Damn, what a day' I say to anyone who is listening.

'Burke how are you feeling?'

'I'm going to get you started on an IV'

*I then start an IV in his left arm*

'Oh crap, I still got that guys gun'

*I say pulling it out from my jacket*

'In my jacket pocket, there are evidence bags, plop that in there, along with your gloves in another bag, tag it and give it to a cop or something, forensics will take that. Where did the guy go?'

'Oh. And Burke, get better soon'
*I smile at him*

I run to the ambulance Burke is in. How you feeling? I'm going to get my SCBA on and get ready if it explodes after I'm finished with you here.

"CE-1, are the bomb squad available?" I say, still watching the backpack. "Oh shit." I say, still into the radio. "Does the guy you caught have a cell? Over." I say, not wanting any repeats of a phone bombing. I keep looking at the entrance, and just wait for some of the EOD guys to arrive.

*I grab the evidence bag and put the gun and gloves in it.*

'When I ran over to you I still had the gun on him until he was secured, guess I forgot about having the gun.'

'But,I saw PPD and our guys get him'

'I then lost sight of them with everyone else running up.'

"Ladder 1 command copies COPA."
'C'mon...disarm that thing. I wanna go home dammit.'
*I put the k12 on the floor next to me and I make sure Mike is next to me which he is. I take off my mask so I could stop wasting air and I wipe my face off with the back of my turnout sleeve. The sleeve is dirty now with it being near and in smoke most of the time. I look around seeing some people moving over next to the backpack. I look up at the smoke still rising and luckily, it's not as bad as before so I feel relieved at that.*

'Lafferty, or someone, tell Jackson they cleaned this guy, he's harmless, it looked like a timed bomb, we've got like ten minutes I think.... Gimme the radio'
*I take teh radio and repeat the message before it's forcibly taken from me*
(IF TAC isn't on within the next hour and a half, you can get bruce or another HRES to disarm)

I walk back to the SEV get my SCBA on and get everything I will need if this.goes off.
I'm ready if this goes off.

'Aw, HELL.'

**I start running over with my gun, but the suspect was already taken down. I return to the RRT truck to get a UXO kit, then return to where Burke is.**

'Should I attempt to defuse?'

"Cressler heading down to the second floor"
'Whats up guys we still got fire down the hall? Okay I'm going to clear this smoke out like I did upstairs.'
"Cressler to D-side suppression hydro venting 2nd floor."
*I start out in a stream and widen it to a fog slightly smaller then the window. The smoke rushes out and the temperature on the floor lowers.*

"Alright, CE-1 is standing by." I say, moving backwards away from the car, and heading over to the parked fire trucks, where I can see Mitch already preparing rescue equipment, a good move I thought, as I stand up and stop aiming at the entrance, waiting for TAC as I hope the bomb was badly made. "CE-1 to Cressler, would advise you get out of building, there's another explosive device, over." I say, as I hear someone still inside the building

'Jesus, I thought you said I was done Dave, you're really pushing your luck here now. Bucello, stop that F-cking bomb, get any help you need, all the HRES and your team is bomb trained. Arse in gear!'
*Dave shuts the ambulance door and we start to move*

'Hm. Hes in a good mood...'
*I say to myself before running back over to the RA and grabbing a soda and take a sip of it*

"Negative I'd love to get out any fire exits were blocked in the explosion and well I can't walk out the front door for obvious reasons."

"Buccilo advise if youll need assitance"

"CE-1, copy that Cressler, well, just hunker down, and stay put, good luck. Over." I say, seeing TAC getting ready to defuse, and I prepare to cover them as they go in, just in case.

*i finish the IV and sit back down on the bench next to Burke*

'Ok, here we go'

*I yell to the Basic up front to take us to ETC*

Medic 4 is transporting Code 2 to ETC'

'How are you feeling?'

'Anymore pain other than your shoulder?'

*I say as I get vitals*

**I go over to the backpack.**

"Do not assist: we need everybody stay clear; we have live explosives at the front of this building. If you're not clear of the building, get clear now."

**I lower the visor on my helmet - for what good it'll do me - and open the UXO kit. Inside are wire cutters, scissors, a telescopic handle and other equipment for more specialized and complicated bombs. The container also doubles as an explosives containment vessel. I empty the kit's contents and take the scissors out, and cut a hole in the backpack; it might be rigged to explode if unzipped. Once inside, I see the bomb: a small detonator charge surrounded by commercial grade explosives, incendiaries, and nails. Someone wanted to cause damage.

**I look at the wires leading through the backpack. It's not too complex of a design: a battery, the explosive, a timer, and a remote sensor. I cut the wire leading from the battery to the explosive, and to my relief, the light goes out on the remote sensor. I cut the other wire from the battery as well, and then cut the wires attached to the explosives. I grab the telescopic handle, step away from the bomb, and remove the explosives. Gently, I lower them into the empty bomb container and close the lid.**

"Explosive is defused."

'Shoulder, well on a scale of 10, 27. Is it the worst I've had? No, I was shot in the knee, while it was bent, they wanted it straight, so this, well it's bad, it's not dabilitating'
*Reminds me of last time I was in an ambulance. Shot in the knee.. Not a fan*

*After hearing the DC is down i run to assist Jackson*
'Jackson do you know how the first few bombs were detonated? because if they were cell activated even a wrong number could kill us both'
*After Bucello diffuses the bomb I pick up my radio*
"PC-8 on the air Does RRT Have cell jammers available?, We cant be too safe "

'Holy shit, that thing better be diffused, I hope Burke is okay' I say to matthews 'now lets get up there and start searching' I say grabbing a halligan and TIC

We walk to the building
"Jansen to Raven, we going in now, which floor did ya want us to check?"

*Henry*
"Bombs cleared. HTT will be taking explosives, they're already on scene from ym view. None of the bombs were activated using cells, all either timed or switch"

'Shit yeah.' I say happily as the bomb is defused, I stay back for a minute as Bucello is still dealing with it and keep my gun at the ready, in case anything happens whilst Bucello's moving the device away, always a possibility, I thought as he moved with the bomb in the container. As Russo turns up I shake my head, 'It's a bit late for that.' I sigh, as I prepare to move towards the building and check it out.

*i come out side and get a drink of water and take off my bottle and go over to rehab for a rest*
'Hey Jess wanna check me out?'
*i sit down on the bumper of the RA*

"I'm not sure that we have jammers, but if absolutely necessary, the Army has jamming equipment. Just remember that we might still have people missing, and if they can't use phones, that could be a problem. And yes, the bomb is defused, but don't go playing near the containment vessel. That thing isn't completely separating us from danger, but it's a lot better than flesh and bone."

'I'm right behind you Jackson.'

I say softly ' Id rather them cut out cell service then taking chances'

'Hmm, oughta check out the building out for some basic shit still.' I say to Linda as I enter the lobby of the building, seeing the devastation caused by the bombs makes me think about it for a minute, how many problems are caused by such a small device, I shake my head again and again and then get my radio. "CE-1 to Fire, is it out up there?" I ask, seeing if I can help them out with any either last rescue, or just helping them up there, because without SCBA.
