Bomb Threats in Phoxlind

I get out of the SEV with my SCBA on so it looks like we are going in to search. I detach the EAT from the SEV so we can use it inside. I walk in with my portable, the eat, an axe and my SCBA on. As soon as I get in the door I walk over to the guys I take the mask off.

"Hey guys, this is really weird. I'm going to look for a projector so we can display the EAT on a lager screen."

I walk off in the direction of the stationary room looking for a projector.

'Sure, got nothing else to do here. Deal me in. Texas hold'em or 7 card stud?'

'Texas Hold'em'
*I deal the cards out and take another sip of my coke*

I walk back with the projector and yell out:

"I found one!"

I connect the EAT up to the projector and position it so everyone can see it. I pull up a chair and watch the poker while looking at the EAT on the projector.

*I take the cards Jess deals me, Ace King of Hearts, this should be interesting.*
'Alright lets se that flop.'

'Man why couldn't EMS stage with us I miss my girl jamie.'
*I start to laugh and crack a bit of a smile*

*We pull up on the other side of the road as SEV-1*
"SEV-2 on scene"
*I get out, put on my helmet, nomex, and SCBA then run inside. Once i'm inside I unzip my coat, take off my helmet, nomex, and SCBA*
'Hello everyone, it's like the fire station all over again'

I keep driving towards the scene, with just the lights on, and pull up just outside the area where the regular police are staging, tenth avenue. 'Matt, make sure we've got all our kit ready.' I say, stopping the car and walking to the trunk to grab our bullet-proof vests, shotguns and helmets (if we have them.) I drop them in the front, pulling my vest over the top of my police uniform, and put the shotgun and helmet on the back seat.

"CE-1 will be headed to Garage shortly, just parked up on tenth avenue, over." I put the radio back on the dash, and wait for Matt to be ready to move in.

*I arrive onscene, shut off my lights and siren and pull into where my units are. I then put staged on the EAT for myself. I then hop out of my truck and grab a portable radio and walk to the front of my SUV.*

"Hey, Everyone come over here around my truck we need to converse about this call." *I wave everyone over*

*I get up from my seat and I briskly walk over to McEvoy.*
'C'mon guys.'

'Im coming!'

I walk over to the Chief

((sorry, been busy at my internship))

*I zip up my coat and head back over to McEvoy*
'What's up Chief?'

*I walk over to McEvoy with Mike*
'What's up Chief?'

* I walk over to McEvoy with the rest of my crew. *

' Hey chief whats the plan. '

*After signing in and changing into my gear I run outside the HQ to the RRT and Bucello. I'm still holding my radio in my hand, turning it on and switching to the primary encrypted, secure TAC channel. I fasten the radio on my belt and unwind the extension mic, then clip in on the shoulder flap of my vest.*

"COPA, this is lieutenant Halls, I'm at the RRT truck now, staging, over."

*I walk over to Bucello and greet him with a nod.*

'Hey man, what's up? I haven't been on the EAT yet so I have no clue.'

"Okay guys we are going to stand by for any fires. If we need someone to go in a check bombs Bruce will be the one or to rescue someone in the area. I believe TAC will go in first or the FBI bomb squad. For what I want each unit to do. Pumper 11 you will be fire suppression with Ladder 1. I want ladder 1 to set up the ladder and attack from above. Squad 1 and SEV1 will be for SAR, The actually Squad may also be used for fire suppression. SEV2 will assist the Pumper and Ladder with whatever they need. RA1 will of course be on stand-by for injuries and rehab. Any questions or comments?"

' None here other than we on the Pumper can also assist with rescue if need be. but we assumed we were gonna be doing fire suppression. '

"No need from rescue from the pumper, since I can take guys from ladder 1."

** I pull up, turn my siren off and walk to McEvoy, and end up listening to his plan.**
((I thought it was a discussion, considering that's what your supposed to do with your officers?))

"Use extreme caution. Careful of any secondary devices or weapons, as always. 11, you can assist with rescues, your not limited to suppression, it's just your main job as the pumper. If it does go up, you'll probably have a crew member inside on the primary."
((Before i get told that there's restrictions and things, I already know. The point is to always use caution.))

((McEvoy, resource management. ogawd you've got a truck with guys on the roof compared to an engine with some guys standing around. which to use?))

' Well either way we'll take ANY task that comes up.'

* I look over at my crew. *

((well considering 3 guys on the pumper one for the deck gun and two on a hose. My point proven. Plus they aren't trained in SAR and I need them for fire suppression FIRST. considering thats what kind of rig they are, not a rescue rig. That's why we have the squad, ladder and sev1. I'll use the pumper crew for rescue if need be but I doubt they'll be needed.))

' Ok seriously, we can take care of Internal operations with Suppression and be available to ASSIST in rescue should a unit require it. '

( But on a RL note SAR is SAR is SAR its not like we're gonna be 1st in rescuing people from a collapsed building, if we see a person we'll grab them and bring them out, Every firefighter is trained to do that no matter where in the world you are. this doesnt have to balloon up to something its not. like I said before u want us on suppression we'll take that, Rescue we'll take that Just point us in Direction u want. )

*i walk over to McEvoy and join the crowd*

* I look over at my crew. *

' Guys we are gonna be only suppression on this, Galligano can you handle the Deck gun, casey and Jack we'll take 2 2" lines and I'll assist on both of them. '

(My opinion trumsp everyone. Pumper is for fire, ladder is to do fire and rescue, squad is rescue. Fire support is suppression assist, rescue support is rescue assist. That's always the way it is unless someone of authority, ie me chris or kelly says otherwise. This call.. I'll determine priorities)

*My phone rings again, Jack is calling*
'Yeah Jack, what now?'
'On your command, I want you to start evacuation of the area, it's coming up on nine now, and I think we're gonna need to clear the area. If you're ready now, I'll seal the area off.'
'Shit, okay, gimme two minutes from the end of this phone call then it's closed off okay?'
'Yeah, sure, I've got my timer, we'll be ready.'

"All units to the stock exchange. All police patrols and traffic units to report to the area and patrol, or assist with persons evacuating the stock exchange." I broadcast.
Over EAT I type a quick breif.
All Fire units are to assist evacuation. There's about 120 people inside, rolls will change if needed (don't get them all out, I'm gonna blow a bomb first, before anyone gets inside)
All police are to assist evacuation, help secure the 7-10 avenue and west of Boader road area. EMS is to set up a triage centre in the building as drawn and marked on the map. Any police units are asked to be aware and use extreme caution as terrorists are almost confirmed in the area(don't catch any unless I tell you)
All TTOs please have your weapon on you if outside of the building, however when entering any building, no firearm may enter, only a knife.

I flip my jacket to show my ERT logos as I hear the sirens screech in and close off the area. I run inside the stock exchange and pull the fire alarm, activating a loud bell and buzzer. A few people start to react and leave followed by many others.

(Remember fire, you have time to arrive, but not get in before I give the post that detonates the bomb)

"Kelly, you there?"

"CE-1 to COPA, we're moving into the evacuation zone, should we head to the parking garage or go to assist Evacuation?" I ask via the radio as I pull my bullet-proof vest tighter and slam shut the tailgate, I climb back in the car, and check all the lights and equipment are ready for me and Matt to move quickly to where we need to go, as we start to head down Commerce.

"Parking garage was cover, I want you guys in CE to go to the front and move people away to Boader road please. Now!"
'ERT, EVERYONE OUT OF HERE NOW'
I feel a buzz and check my texts

D, just got a threat in, get everyone outta there, they're gonna blow!

I curse to myself and rush people out. I see the trucks in the distance racing up, a lotta people are already out though. It's a three story building, there is probably a few people stuck in on different floors.

"let's go guys!"

*I hop in my truck throw on my lights and siren and pull out into the street and block commerence so my units can pull out with out need to stop. I then reach over and pull my pistol out of my glove box and hook my holster to my belt.*

"S1C fire is moving into evac"

'Alright guys, lets go.'
*I pick up my SCBA and run out to the pavement moving around the truck. I get in the truck and wait for Bruce and everyone else to jump in.*

"CE-1 copies, we're on scene now." I brake the car quickly and hit runlock as I climb out of the car and start to point for the people to head up the road towards the parking garage, then go via eighth avenue and get away as quickly as possible. I check out the entrance and see nothing at the start, and enter, to see the panic and mayhem of people running out, some probably quite confused, and I didn't doubt there'd be people stuck upstairs.

' Pump-11 Evac NOW!. '

* I run to the Engine and climb aboard, I see the rest of the guys climb aboard and casey puts the truck in gear and Quickly drive off to the alternate staging area. *

" Command, Pump-11 moving to alternate area. "

I gear up and start my engine, with MCU behind me, we both pull out code three en route to the area

*I hope in the SEV as mitch hops in the driver seat mitch.*
'Mitch I still have my weapon on me I can't go into assist you'll have to go.'

'Holy..shit' I say to myself as I jump in the squad and unlock the gun cabinet. The I load the gun, put it on safe and holster it. 'Let's roll guys!'

((You lock up your gun in the gun box on the truck, that doesn't prevent you from entering, just keeps you out of the burning building with a loaded gun))

"Fire, you're gonna have trouble parking, we've got a lotta people pouring out... Oh shit!"
I yell into the mic as a loud erruption pours through the air and I see the big bright two story tall windows above the main entrance turn bright red, the color of fire.
"MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY, BOMB EXPLODED, WE HAVE AN ACTIVE BOMB, INCINDIARY, LETS ROLL."
"Pumper11, SEV2 handle water and fire suppression, Ladder one, lets get you in with Squad 1 to search the building, SEV 1 you with him, S1C setup at the safest spot, I'll be floating around."
I say calmer now but still authoritative while I lock and load my weapon.
(Forsyths go to the top floor, Jess has special orders, Beard, search the washrooms, you're HRES so go in alone, you have your orders, feel free to execute them when ready)

*Just as the bomb goes off i duck behind cover*
'oh shoot!'
*I grab my SCBA and grab some extra hose*
"SEV-2 TO ALL UNITS, THERE HAS BEEN AN EXPLOSIAN I REPEAT THERE HAS BEEN AN EXPLOSIAN!!!"
*I take my hose and run over to a fire hydrant,take the wrench, unscrew the cap and hook the hose up. I then run over to the pumper and hook the other end up there. Then run back one more time and turn on the water*
"SEV-2 to P-11, you guys should have water"

'This is not how I imagined my day off' I say, putting my gun away, since I'm going to enter a building. Then I put on my SCBA, waiting to arrive at the scene

*I take cover as I hear a loud explosion*
'Oh Sh*^.'
*I run to the back and secure my weapons then I grab and axe and throw my scba on then I head over to the squad and wait for them to get ready*

"CE-1 is in the lobby, we'll see what we can do to assist in here, but it seems like the elevators are gone, power may have been lost." I say, as I enter the building and start to move some of the shocked people out of the lower lobby. 'Everyone, get to Boarder Street, there's EMS and Police there, go go go!' I shout to some of the people still running out of the stairs, and I head back to the doors, trying to jam them open, to allow fire in and more people out.

* I jump into the truck and throw my oat and scba in the back and tell austin' you better not crash or those scba's are gonna come flying, i didnt have time to secure them'*
* we drive up following the chief with our sirens blaring*
' oh shit!!! this isnt gonna be good austin!'
* we pull up on scene and i throw my gear on*

*I get in the RA and flip on the lights and hit the siren as Doug gets us on the way. We pull up behind the Ladder.*
"RA1 on scene establishing RIT and Rehab."
*I get out the RIT pack and lay it at the back bumper, I get in to my gear and then grab the rehab kit and set it on the bumper.*

"Understood CE, don't go any farther without SCBA until the fire is out, i don't need anymore to the list.. If there is anyone hurt, flag down fire or someone, they might need help"
I walk up to the RA
'I see, you guys, see if you can help get people away from here... There could be more bombs, we've got triage in the warehouse on boader, get them over there if you can, but stay at your post'
Hutchison acknowledges and I walk towards the area, now wearing my white fire helmet, black turnout coat yelling orders to civilians and waiting for some support

* I walk up to floan*
' Lt, what do you need me and austin to do?, you have water flowing now'

"CE-1 to COPA. Roger that, we'll try and control the lobby for now, until someone else takes over." I say, kneeling down next to someone who was lying on the ground, not injured but in shock. I try to get him up, and start to carry him out to the door, where he runs out quickly. I check the rest of the lobby, there are a few minor cuts and bruises from people knocked over and such, but nothing major enough for immediate attention as far as I could see.
