Upon arrival we walked to where they had the subject detained. Subject, was a little resistant from the start, when trying to get information from him. After placing him in handcuffs and advising him of his rights, he demanded to see a supervisor once he arrived at the city jail. I advised dispatch to have a supervisor to meet us at the jail.

Description of events: I was sitting at a stop sign located at intersection of Trulit Rd & Plum Way. I observed a vehicle run a stop sign. I pulled out behind the vehicle & attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a green ford taurus 2000's model with registration # 169ATL. Upon activating my lights & sirens the vehicle did not stop & continued to travel northbound on trulit rd. I asked my FTO Dave Lafferty what should we do & he advised give it a couple more blocks then we will call it. I continued 2 more blocks folloing the vehicle with my emergency lights & siren activated the vehicle still did not stop. I called out vehicle pursuit & vehicle turned onto manu rd from trulit & went westbound. There was 2 sheriffs deputies that were running stationary patrol & observed the pursuit coming towards them. They pulled out & blocked the road & suspects were taken into custody. after finding a small bag of marijuana & identifying the occupants of the vehicle it was deteremined the marijuana was the drivers & no further action had to occur with the female in the vehicle. subject was placed under arrest & read miranda rights & transported to jail, where he was released to the custody of the detention staff.

Description of events: On August 8th, 2011 at approximately 1:15 pm I was exiting the county courthouse where I had been summoned for court. As I was walking towards my patrol car I witnessed a white male identifed as Robert David Henry DOB listed as 02/12/1980 picking up a 8 year old white female identified as Sasha Smith being thrown up into the cab of a White Chevy 1500 crew cab truck. I also was hearing screaming & yelling, as I ran towards the incident that was occuring in front of me & witnessed a white female identified as Maria Smith DOB listed as 08/26/1981 trying to pull sasha out of the vehicle. I witnessed the male Robert Henry turn & hit the female Maria Smith in the face with a closed fist from his right hand 2 times then hit her in the abdominal region 1 time. I then proceeded to yell "police stop" 2 different times. When I got in between the male & female the male started to reach for my duty weapon located on my duty belt, I quickly took the male to the ground & attempted to grab my spray but was unable to spray him due to the strugle that had ensued. When the robert & myself got to the ground he proceeded to climb on top of me to the point I had no leverage to defend my self & proceeded to place his hands around my throat & started to choke me. I attempted to reach for my taser but was unable to due to robert placing his elbows into my arms to the point of preventing me from drawing my taser. At this time Cpl Lafferty arrived, Since I could not breath & knew if he was going to try to kill me I was going to give 1 last chance of subduing the suspect, I preformed a karate skill that brought my legs up & in between myself & robert & locked my feet together pushing him off with the force of my legs. This is when the male fell to his back & proceeded to grab for a knife that was located on his left side which was free, I had control of the suspects right arm I did a thump with my boot to the suspects chest & pulled & turned his right arm causing it to dislocate. Cpl Lafferty ran up & I advised him he had a knife, Cpl Lafferty drew his duty weapon & I got up & placed the suspect in handcuffs while reading him his miranda rights.

Upon further investigation robert has a physical domestic history & had placed his exwife Maria Smith in the hospital 2 weeks ago for approximately 2 days. Maria advised me that this is when she filed for immediate divorce. Maria substained a broken nose but refused transport by ems.
Maria had just left the courthouse where the judge had closed the divorce hearing & granted sole custody to Maria with limited priviledge of seeing the children to robert henry.

Robert was transported to the Jail by Cpl Lafferty.

Description of events:

Officer McIntyre witnessed the suspect picking up the little girl & throwing her into the truck & the female trying to grab the child out of the vehicle, that is when Officer McIntyre started to run over. From that point Officer McIntyre called out he had witnessed him turn around & hit the female in the face a couple of times then hit her in the stomach, so Officer McIntyre came up & announced police stop two different times & him still hitting her. He then went hands on with Officer McIntyre, Officer McIntyre attempted to draw his spray but he started trying to grab for Officer McIntyre gun, so Officer McIntyre went to the ground to cover it & that is when he started to place his hands around Officer McIntyre neck & squeeze & he did this for approximately about a minute even when he was doing this Officer McIntyre tried to reach for his tazer, but the suspect would put his elbow into his arms preventing me from pulling it. Then Officer Lafferty pulled up. Officer McIntyre saw the suspect reach for a knife and was able to push the suspect off of himself.

Description of events: I went to back up Officer McIntyre upon arrival he had both patients out of the house. Myself and Officer Morrigan grabbed fire extuingshers and took care of the fire. I went outside and interviewed some of the neighbors who stated they heard a pop and then the fire. Neighbor number two saw the young boys running in the house. Both boys were playing with a bottle rocket and it caught something on fire. Possibly old boxes, we did find a few near the area where we think the fire may have started. Parents arrived on scene and kids were released in their care with no charges filed.

Description of events: I was patrolling on Truitt Interpass, when I noticed a car along a dirt road that had all doors open and nobody around it. I began to check the car and found three weapons, and called for K-9 to come out and check the car. We ended up finding several bags of different drugs, and a large amount of money. I also took pictures of the car and all evidence before I collected the Evidence. I called for Corporal Morrigan to transport the money down to the PD for me. I then had the car towed to our TEC shop, so that it can be processed.

Description of events: On sunday night at 11:00pm I was doing my routine patrol when I observed 2 men fighting in public. I turned my lights on, took a U turn and stopped my car. I jumped out of my vehicle and unholstered my gun and aimed it at the suspects. I then radioed for backup and a moment later Sgt. Lafferty pulled up and he handcuffed both individuals. We read them their rights and asked for their ID's we ran them through our database and found out one of them is on probation so we arrested him for assault and dissorderly conduct and we will add violation of probation. Suspect #2 had a prior felony charge and we found out PPD wanted to ask him a few questions about an armed robbery, so we turned both suspects over to PPD.

Location: South Twin Road, near the Training Academy

Description of events: When turning onto South Twin Road, Probationary Officer Jospeph Mandrose who was manning PC-7 spotted a driver who was swerving over the road. He thought this was evidence enough to conduct a traffic stop, and he attempted to do so. The driver failed to pull over, so Mandrose broke into pursuit and reached speeds of over 60mph. He attempted to communicate with the driver via the PA Speaker and then conducted the PIT manuevore. The driver, which by now had been run through the EAT and came out as Carl Ricktof, had crashed into a hedge at the side of the road. By this time, Officer Sarah Robinson manning PC-3 had responded and headed in Mandrose's direction. Mandrose continued pursuing Mr. Ricktof on foot. He pursued him down an alleyway before Mr. Ricktof gave up, and Officer Mandrose arrested him. Mandrose then took Mr. Ricktof back tpo the scene, and by this time Officer Robinson had arrived and was cleaning up. Robinson transported Mr. Ricktof to the jail and Mandrose called in a tow truck to take the Perpertrators vehicle away. By this time, Academy Security had arrived and took over the scene until the tow truck arrived.

Description of events: Officer Robinson, who was driving PC-3, pulled up behind a PPD Gang Unit on Japanese District. She chatted to the officers inside the Unit before going on foot patrol. She walked down an alleyway when she overheard a suspicious conversation. She hid behind a bin and activated her voice recorder. She recorded the conversation, including several references towards drugs. She then drew her firearm and aimed it at the suspects. She called for help and the two officers from the Gang Unit promptly responded. They managed to arrest both suspects, and found drugs on both of them (Evidence Number: 103334, 103335) and money (Evidence Number: 103336). The other things found on them, in one case I.D. was also put into the Evidence Locker (Evidence Number: 103337, 103338, 103339 and 103340). One of them, the 'buyer' was transported in PC-3 and the 'seller' in S-1 which appeared to help transport the perpetrators.

Description of events: Two days ago I sent out a All Points Bulletin on a suspect that impersonated an ERT Police Officer and that Person, Shane kelley, also had a warrant for arrest out of New York State for questioning in a gang shooting. I was on routine patrol looking for this suspect when I observed a man that matched the description of my suspect and he was with a female friend. I called for local police to assist me and then we stopped the two individuals and ordered them on the ground they both did and the PPD officer handcuffed both of them. I then grabbed the male subject and walked over to my cruiser and the PPD officer took the female over to his car, I asked the suspect his name and he told me shane kelley. I then told him why he was under arrest and we drove to the station. The female friend was also taken into custody for outstanding warrants for escape from custody out of new york state. It turned out that we arrested two criminals wanted for the gang shooting in New York State.

Description of events: On 09/25 I observed a motorcycle traveling 22 mph over the speed limit I ran the plate through the mobile EAT, and discovered the owner also had a suspended license, I called for PPD assistance and then I initiated a traffic stop. He saw the lights and heard the sirens, and pulled over. I asked him for his information and walked back to my car, then PPD units showed up. We then handcuffed the suspect and I was about to take the suspect to ERT PD but then another PPD car came to take him to PPD Lockup. Man was charged with driving with a suspended license.

Description of events: On 09/26 I was dispatched to a man disturbing the peace call. Upon arriving I found Sgt. Lafferty trying to talk to the man who ignored all communications between us and him. We asked to come down the stairs and stop banging on the door at 1323 union st. He decided to approach us and we ordered him to turn around he did, I grabbed my cuffs and the suspect turned around and tried punching me I ducked and the man fell on the ground I put my knee onto his back and handcuffed the inebriated man. I read him his rights and tried to talk he refused. We used the Breathalyzer and it turned out to a .12 Which is over the legal driving limit however he was not driving but he was disturbing the peace. We decided to charge him with disturbing the peace (public intoxication), and resisting arrest. We talked to a few witnesses who stated that the 911 callers mother has broken up with the man and he tried saying he was sorry, however the mom was out and her 15 year old son was home. Witnesses and the caller stated he banged on the door and they were unsure if he was trying to break in or not. The boy decided not to press charges.

Description of events: On 10/06 T-1 was dispatched to a possible DUI Driver. Officer Morrigan, responded and pulled the vehicle over. Officer Morrigan told the driver to step out, and he did. I heard him over the radio asking for another unit so I responded code 3. When I arrived Officer Morrigan had the man standing next to his car, and gives him a breathalyzer test which he ended up being under the influence and got over .08. He also had expired tags, I placed him in handcuffs and charged him with DUI and driving with a suspended license, its his first offense. I put him in the back of my car and read him his rights, I didn't ask him anything since he was slurring his words. He complied with everything and didn't resist once.

Description of events:
On 10/07, S1 responded to a drunk disorderly person. He arrived on scene and tried to talk to the suspect, who ignored him. Sgt. Lafferty then requested a second unit. I responded as did Corporal Morrigan. After arriving on scene, Sgt. Lafferty and I gave him a sobriety test, which read .19, while Morrigan ran his ID. Sgt. Lafferty and I arrested the suspect and put him in my car. I transported him to the station and charged him with public intoxication. His ID also came back with a warrant for failure to appear.
