Highway terror accident

Units required.
LF-1 for medical and extrication
All available PCs for traffic closures and containment
RRT on standby with weapons to extricate along with fire of terror group
ALS-1, BLS,1-2 for medical along with five city medical units. (multiple runs may be required)
AG-1 Major Case Unit on standby at complex awaiting orders from secret service.

DC-1 May respond

Pc-6 on scene,* I get out of my car and with my hand on my gun I go to where the suspect is restrained. I grab and cuff him* What are you idiots doing? Im sorry, I didnt want to, they talked me into! I dont give a shit, lets go *I search him and find nothing* "Suspect in custody" "dc be advised perimeter secure."

Copy that Joe, put him in your car, move it up about 100ft north of the accident in the N-bound lane. Stand by to watch him too if you can.

"Patrol 2 on scene. Libor take that guy back to base dump him and get back here. Ill take your spot. Central advise fire that they will need heavy extrication equipment and that there is a small fire"

*I pull up near libors car let him to to get that guy the hell out of here cause of parents and how people feel about terroists*

*RRT Vehicle arrives on scene and stops on the shoulder about 60 feet behind the accident scene*

"TAC Rapid Response on scene, staging at accident site."

*I check the ammunition magazines on my MP5 submachine gun and the stun grenades on my belt. Then I make sure my bullet-resistent vest and helmet are on securely. I monitor the radio while watching the accident site.*

"libor cancel that Birdwell is going to take him I guess"

"Patrol 2 to Tac Birdwell the suspect is ready for transport just north of the scene as soon as your here we will put him in the back of your hoop and take him where he is needed"

"Copy" I get out of my squad and grab my shotgun just in case, I sling it over my shoulder keep the secured.

Pumper 11 on scene.
*I jump out and put on the siren brake because I revved it so much. I grab an extinguisher and I keep spraying but look around to see the damage.*
"Okaay" I say to myself, "3 cars and 1 bus." I change my concentration back on the engine fire.

((Why would you pull a few, and what sort of pull are you doing? obstructed or non. For a small fire, an extinguisher's more than capable.))
"P-11 on scene at southbound entrance."

"We're going to need to secure the bus. We need 2 guys, 1 grab stabilizing arms, other grabs the straps. We'll need someone to disarm these guys just encase. No need for injuries."

"Raven on scene" I say and jump out of my car. I try and open up the back emergency exit, but the door has been bent in. "Garcia, let's get the jaws."

"BLS-1 in the area."

*I say and shut off the siren, and pull off a few yards from the ramp. I put on a visibility vest and helmet, grab a fully charged portable radio, and start getting equipment out. I get triage tags out of a case and put half in the vest pocket, and hand the other half to Putter."

"Here is the other half of the triage tags, green is least serious, red is most serious. Before you give it to them just ask them what pains they are feeling if any, and just write down a quick note of their complaint on the tag."

"BLS-1 to Fire, if you want to start sending people from the bus over to the ambulance we'll get treatment started. We're all set up here. If any extrication is required I'll let ALS handle that."

"Yeah, I'll grab them."

**I go to the back of the engine, pull out the hydraulic power unit, move the hose out, get the jaws, connect the hose, and bring it to Ewan.**

"You may want to wait until we stabilize it and everything first, just a suggestion."

*I put the extinguisher back and get the stabilizing arms.
(I've heard of it but I forgot what it did.What does it do?)

((When connected with the straps, it prevents a vehicle from moving. Important on large vehicles, vehicles on top of k-rails, on their sides, upside down even. Anything where it could lose balance, it prevents it from moving.))

"Okay, just get spikes in the ground, then get the straps over it."

"Selecting how I want it cut. Get the airbags out, and position them acordingly so that the bus doesn't tip.

Alright. I run over next to the bus and put down the stabilizing arms and grab the straps and spikes.
"Can someone help me with this?

"patrol 6 when you arived on scene what about the 3 other suspects are they D.O.A or hurt or GPA?"

"From this standpoint, there was a little bit of movement. Unsure, can't let anyone approach until the weapons are cleared from the area."

*I walk over gun drawn to the suspects car*

"Is any one hurt?"

*I get no responce but i do find 2 more hand guns and a automatic rifle*

"garcia libor took the driver he seems to be ok. He will be transported to central and then the medical staff can check him out. The pasanger is DOA cause of some sort of impailmnet. The 2 passangers seem to be traped but with minnor to moderate injures. The scene is safe for fire persons"

"patrol 2 to birdwell we have only 1 for transport as of right now. The other is 0 retention and 2 others will need to be transported with patrol or TAC officers. I would say take the one in libors car and we will go from there"

*I take the guns to my car and put them in the trunk*

**I finish with Hannahan and say over my radio**

"Garcia what do you want me to do?"

"Thanks a lot Starling. Clearing the area for personnel now."


"All firefighters, scene is clear to approach the car. I'll start treatment until more medics can take over."

**I grab a trauma bag off the engine and an airway and walk over**

**RADIO TO ALL UNITS**

"For arriving EMS, 1 dead in the front side passenger seat. 2 in the rear are moderate. Passenger on the rear right : Difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, dislocation to 1's shoulder, possible spinal injury, complaining of neck pains, and broken nose and cuts and bruises from the glass."

** I go around and check out the other passenger **

"Passenger on the rear left. Broken ankle, probably because of the rifle, broken tibia compound, broken arm, both bones, bruising and disorientation, as well as possible head trauma from smashing the window. Starting high flow o2 on the right rear passenger with an i.v, passenger on the rear left will get an i.v, both t.k.o. setting a c-collar on both, and cardboard splints for leg/ankle fractures, air splint for arm fracture. Be advised, we don't have drugs at this time to treat for pain."

"Daniels, grab me some splints and the spinal bag."



**To COPA**
"COPA, we have a 2 vehicle MCI incident. Scene is secured by P.D, 1 dead, 1 no transport, 2 moderate injuries. Treatment in progress. Entry to the bus is being made at this time by truck. How many people were on board?"

"Ok Garcia"

**I go to the engine & get the splints & there spinal bag. I walk over and put them on the ground next to Garcia**

"There you go, Need some help?"

"Yeah, get me a pulse and bp on the guy on the right, i've got the left. Then splint him up really quick, just to get them out of here."

**I pull out a c-collar on the guy on the left, and give 1 to Mitch to get his side. I also take a cardboard splint, set it up, and wrap it with tape, so it won't come off. I also take an air splint and put it on his arm. I grab a pen light out of the trauma bag and begin checking for sings of a head injury.**

"Tell me when you have that info"

"Sure"

**I start by putting the c-collar on my guy, then get his pulse & BP.**

"Right passenger is hypertensive, 150/100. Pulse is something like 123."

"Fire To All arriving EMS units. Right passenger BP is 150/100, pulse 123. Left passenger BP is 125/70, pulse 86. Both will need ALS transport."

**I get my Patient ready so he can be transported, I put him on a backboard and secure him, being careful not to move him much because of his possible spinal.**

"Ready for transport"

"Thanks Daniels. I get up and walk over to Lt. Garcia. Do you want me to help put him on the stretcher or do you want me to get extrication equipment for the other car? (Do we have spreaders or rams on the engine. I wouldn't think that standard firefighting gear."

"pc-5 on scene" I turn on my rear advisors and begin traffic control.

"BLS-1, will you need an escort?"

"L1 responding to scene from garage fire. ETA 7 mins."

10-4 starling, let me pull my vehicle around.

"Starling, are we keeping those weapons as evidence? It might be a good idea to seal them up and label them."

*I walk to where the TAC vehicle has pulled up*

"Negative PC-5, we won't be transporting until all other victims requiring transport are transported. We have triage set up, so I'm letting ALS and the other BLS transport the more serious injuries."

ALS 1 on the scene
ALS 1 is going to request PD escourt.
"ALS 1 needs a PD escourt to reach triage area."

*I run over to another car with one person trapped*
"Ma'am, you'll be okay, we're going to get you out of here ok just hold on."
"Hurry!"
I run to the engine, and grab another backboard.
"Daniels, if you're not doing anything can you help me extricate this woman please?"
*I run and get the spreaders.*

ALS 1 requesting permission to go to traige area

(Do I need an escourt or permission to go to where BLS 1 is?)

"Ridgeback, I can go with you in the ambulance as an escort if you need."

*I walk over to the ambulance."

(You don't need permission unless it goes against the orders of someone who outranks you, I believe.)

*I go back to the patient and I try to force the door open. It opens a little.
"Ma'am, can you move your legs?"
"Yes."
"Okay, can you move your head and your hands?"
"Yes. I just dislocated my shoulder I think and my head hurts a bit."
"Ok, (her window is rolled down) I'm going to get you medical help."
"McGuire or Ridgeback, can you help me with this lady please?"

"Thank J. Brucello I accept lets start the escourt" I go to the triage area

"I'll do the case, Do you have a SAMPLE history?"

(me?)
*I pry open the door with the cutters and the lady gets out.*
"Okay ma'am. I want to hold your arm like this to act as a temporary splint ok?"
*She holds her arm the way I showed her and I bring her to BLS-1.
"McGuire, she has a dislocated arm and she says her head hurts."

I'm gonna find victims and see how critically injured they are.
Go to car number 2 containing an unconsis man. Blood is by his mouth
I going to have to intubate.
"I'm gonna need a backboard over here! No need to pry open door!"

"I gotcha."
*I grab the backboard from near the 1st car and take it to the 2nd one with Ridgeback.*
"I'll help you. When you're ready, I'll move the backboard."

"attention all patrol units as soon as the 2 suspects are ready for transport they will be escorted by a patrol officer or TAC officer. Please maintain your post for right now."

"Central do we have a ETA of a special agent?"

"Thanks J. Hannan" I take the back board to the stercher and begin treatment.

"Your welcome Ridgeback."
*I go back to the bus and bring the spreaders with me. I help remove people from the bus. (the ones that could stand) after climbing on top of it.*
"Ok. Can everyone follow me."
*I bring 6 people to the city ambulances as they begin triage. I go back to the bus and help out with the more injured people (people who can't walk, disabled, etc.)

*I jump off the Ladder as it pulls on scene. I make my way to the bus to begin a count of the victums for transport to hospital. I cout 6 that Hannahan has helped off and 19 more inside that cant walk or get up* *I go back to the truck and grab a backboard for transport of victums to the ambulance staging area*

As Anders arrives, I go back to the bus and keep taking out people.
"Anders, I got one for the backboard. He can't walk because his ankle broke."
*I put him on the backboard and start to strap him down.*
"Good thing you came. I would have to carry him all the way to BLS-1."

I just put the patient in the ambualance and hit the siren to the hospital.
