'No Nicholas, just empty.. holy crap get down!'

*A life boat and host tare through the cabins spewing sparks and debris everywhere. The carpet ignites and part of the roof colapses due to the structure damage.

'There Nick hit it!'

*I quickly scramble back to my feet and look around.

'Anybody hurt!?'

'Let's get him out of here'

Davis and I carry the vic out and we get outside. "We have one red vic outside, can someone take him over so we can continue SAR"

* I get to my feet after the crash and continue forward seemingly unphased by what just happened. *

' Yea Tim we need to mark the rooms after we have checked them and unless ur gonna be using them as a grenade the boilover point is too high for them to be dangerous for general use. just dont go right next to the flame with them. '

" Pump-11 Command to OSC We have contact in the hallway, beginning suppression now. "

* I walk forward and start looking around for additional rooms to check. *

' Keep low u guys and remember we dont know how many floors this fire is on so for god sake keep an Eye on the ceiling. '

* I come upon room 210, I check the door top, middle and bottom. The door seems warm enough to hurt my hand through my glove. I motion for Matthews to come over. *

' Tim get a line over here, this door is hot, i'll pop it if you can hit the water. '

((f*ck it, sorry Cressler but I need to get somewhere. : P ))

Cressler and myself climb into the Jahawk awaiting at the pier, and throw in 50 feet of rope as well as our normal equipment. The blades spin up and I start to hook myself into a harness, and get ready to go on deck.

* I see tim coming over with the hose. He positions himself on the left side of the door on 1 knee, i take the right side standing next to the doorknob. I take my halligan and Pop the door, Fire immediatly comes roaring out of the room. It flows out the door and immediatly takes the ceiling in the hallway. *

" Pump-11 to OSC Raven, Contact Heavy fire Room 210. "

* I leave my mask off and as Tim starts to hit the fire i rush into the room to do a check. I start knocking down dressers and night stand and see what appears to be a leg coming from under a bed. I bend down to see what it is. I feel a foot and a leg. *

' Got 1 Got 1. '

* I pull on the leg to brin the person out from under the bed. The skin fro the leg comes completly off on my hands, I pay little attention to that and continue to pull revealing what seems to be a young girl. Her hair is gone and parts of her flesh are missing throughout her body. Her clothes have been burned almost completly off. I grab her and immediatly run out of the room which is still filled with heavy fire and out to the hallway. *

" Pump-11 Command Priority traffic to RA-1 Hutch I have a female patient here unknown age possibly mid teens, she is burned almost compleely throughout her body with spotty flesh missing throughout her torso, legs and face. She has a pulse but it's faint. Unknown on further vitals at this time. We will be bringing her out in a moment prepare for high priority Red. "

' Jack I got her, you continue to check that room for her parents. '

" Pump-11 Command to Matthews. You continue the Suppression and take the men forward I will return shortly. "

* I grab the girl whose body is slippery and bleeding from open wounds and begin my trek out to the triage area. *

"Davis to Raven, need any help? Jansen and I are still in SAR."

*As I wait for a reply, I head into another hallway filled with smoke. I call out 'FIRE DEPARTMET!' and hear a response.*

'Where are you guys?'
'Over here!'

*I follow the voice and come to a group of people. They're all coughing and one of them looks like they're injured.*

'Alright, can you guys walk?'
'Yeah, but he can't.' They point to the man on the ground.
'Ok, if you guys would follow me and I'll take the other guy, ok?'

*They all get up and follow me while I carry the injured man on my shoulders. I take a head count and count 7 people plus the one I have, so 8 in total. I proceed out of the boat, leaving the tag on the injured man unknown.*

The helicopter starts to take off. Offer the roar of the blades I make an announcement. "10-4 FLOAN!" I yell. "THE PORT AUTHORITY FIRE BOAT IS ON IT'S WAY!" I look out and can't see much throught the smoke.

"Rescue 1 to Squad 1, can you tell me where that JayHawk will be available for us? I can't see much through the smoke. We're at the end of the lifts section of the ship but we can't get to the reception area. The fire is too heavy here and we have nothing to fight it with."
*I look up, I can hear the heli but I can't see it.*
'Mitch, lets wait here for a minute then when I get more info on the helicopter, then we'll move.'

"I'LL UPDATE YOU WHEN WE GET TO THE DECK" I shout. Then look out at the ship just as the forestry helicopter unleashed a torrent of water onto the top deck. "YOU GUYS ARE CLEAR, GET GOING" I say before the chopper goes behind a veil of smoke.

"Hannahan to Raven, thanks for the rain."
'C'mon Mitch, lets go upstairs now.'
"Hannahan to Raven, where's the heli going to be for us?"
*I head up to the deck which was very hard to do due to the fact that people were pushing us trying to get by too.*

*I go over and back up the probie on the line.*

'Your doing good man, doing good.'

(I don't knowwhat you are wanting me to do Floan.)

'Colwell, at the next door, do you want to bust open the door, or do you want me to? And Colwell, do you have a tool?'

'I got it.'

*I tap the probie on the back and move around him to the next door.*

'Ok you ready?'

*I check the door for heat abd its cold, so I swing my TNT tool and bust open the door.*

((Ummm hannahan, you're going to the top deck and rappeling into the part that they are located...))

" copy that floan"

* i continue to extinguish 210, which seems to be having no effect*

" matthews to nicholas, can we get another line over here to 210, we got heavy fire and are going to have to back out if we dont get back up"

' anders back me up some this is getting crazy in here'

*I get on the line with Tim and nuge up right behind him taking the weight of the hose.I watch him spray around the room and hit the ceilings as fire spreads across.

'Good job Tim, keep it up. How are you doing on air?' I shout to him.

*I check my own air gage and see I am half out already.

' im alright for now, still between 1/2 and 3/4, but im gonna drain it in here with this work'

* i start at the ceiling and start making O and V patterns with the stream trying to spray some steam around the room*

* Cowell steps aside as I enter the room. I look around and see no fire or victims.*
'Clear!'

Me and Davis walk out with the patients, and walk over to triage.
I quickly check my air, half full, the meter says and I continue walking

"nicholas you comin over here to assist jack and i??????" i scream over the radio

" room 210!!!"

' jack we gotta back up a little bit til we get another line'

* we slowly back out of the room as i do everything possible to control the hose*

*I hear Matthews's call over the radio and turn around to Colwell.*
'(Swear) Did you hear that! We got to go help those guys!'
* We take off running.*

*I drop to one knee and open up the hose.*
'You need a little Help Matthews?!?!'
"LT., I'm going to have to come out soon, I only have 1/2 a tank of air, and its burning fast."

' yea, thank god your here, take right, ill take left!!'

" matthews to floan, same traffic as nicholas, i say take all of pump 11 crew out"

* i move in and take the left side of the cabin and spray water all over*

*I get to the top deck and see a nice pool looking nearly untouched by anyone. I look around and head towards the stern of the ship.*
'Ok, ok, now the guys are down there and we have no zrig. Damn, I hate when this happens.'
*I wrap part of the rope on a thick pole and around Mitch's waist also.*
'Alright Mitch, I'm trusting you with this. Go down there, wrap the rope around the firefighters and tug when you need me to pull up.'
"Rescue 1 to Squad 1, we're starting rescue ops on the firefighters.

*After dropping off my patients at triage, I head back to the squad. I refill my air real quick and grab a water. I take off my mask and sit down for a little while.*

*I move around with Tim making sure he has the control he needs with the hose. I watch as the steam of water hits the walls and the fire starts to billow smoke as it's fuel is taken away. The room fills with smoke from the smoldering wooden bulkhead seperating the cabins. I look around and see just a small amount of fire left around the bed, I tap Tim on the shoulder.

'I'm going to flip the bed, hit it when I'm outta the way.'

*I walk around the bed and flip up the matress and the bed spring flames up from the oxygen I just gave it.

* I see Anders pull up he mattress, and fire come shooting out. I hit the fire and go check on Anders.*
'Anders, you ok? Anders?'

* I walk back into the boat from the triage area and eventually come to my crew who are still fighting 210. I get back up next to Matthews. *

' Tim i got command from here. GUYS widen your streams, start a circle motion and for god sake stop taking a defensive stance, start moving in on the fire , Every room we hit make certain after we gain entry that the windows are completly broken out give the smoke a place to go other than into out face and the hallway. John, you and Nicholas go take 211, im sure that place has to be on fire by now, We'll meet u 2 there in a moment. '

* I take my halligan back from the floor where i dropped it after i found the girl and start smashing through a window and through furniture. *

*We pull our line back and move toward 211. I check the door, and its extremely hot. I look through the eye window, and all I see is orange.*
'Anders, its blazing, and I think its locked. You're senior. What do you want to do?'

( Wow I just realized that Nobody from the Ladder has posted on the call so far. that sucks. )

" Pump-11 Command to Pump-11 Brondum, Force entry on the door but watch for flashover. "

* Tim and I continue to extinguish the room. I start to see some light at the end of the tunnell *



' Hmm, Tim take the hose and put it to a jet stream when i do this, i gots me an idea. '

* I walk over to the common wall connecting 210 and 211, I take my halligan and pound on the wall making a nice sized hole, I pull my halligan out of the wall making the hole bigger and Fire immediatly jumps out of the hole almost catching my face. *

' Alright Tim go get it. '

*I shove my halligan into the door crevice, and give it a fast swipe. The whole room is on fire. I put the nozzle on a fog pattern and slowly start to make headway.*

((FYI room 210 is on the other side of the ship.))

*As I search futhur down the hallway the smoke thickens as I get closer to the epicenter. I open the door of Room 208 with my halligan and head in.*

I call out 'Fire dept!' and hear no immeadiate response so I keep looking around.

( damn thats right i read that wrong, ok so Brondum and my guys we are still on 210 but u move to 214 that is the room you are in now Nick, jack u guys are in room 214. But Davis why r u guys inthe next room across the hall from us, should u guys be on another floor or at least taking the starboard side of the ship rather than have 2 crews within 1 room of eachother. )

((I wasn't for sure if you guys were in 210 or 211, so I'll switch position haha. Keep in mind though I'm just SAR. I don't have all the hoses and stuff.))

*I search Room 211 and don't find anything. I head back into the smoke-filled hallway and see a women lying on the ground. I head over to her and realize that she's a maid on the ship. I check her pulse and breathing rates. She has no burns and she's breathing less than 30 Resperations/minute. Pulse is 78.*

'Hey Jansen! I found another one here! I'm bringing her out. This one's probably a red because she's unconcious.'

*I walk towards the exit again.*

(3 red, 2 black, 29 unknown, 188 not found)

*I crouch down next to Brondum.*

'You are doing great, just keep it on a fog!'

*Mitch tells me he's down so I let go of the rope and do the same thing the same way he went down for me. I get on the ground with my highrise pack and connect to the nearby standpipe.*
'Mitch, hook one of them to me and you take one too. We're going to keep going towards the back.'
*Rescue 1 to Raven, we're on the lower deck with the firefighter and heading toward the stern.*

" Pump-11 Command to Squad 1 Davis. When you have taken the girl to the Triage area, report back to the 2nd floor with Jansen and you 2 Link up with Pump-11 We need to split these 2 teams up evenly. no need for 2 people to be off by themseves when I have 5 here. "

* Tim and I finish up on 210 and start heading towards Colwell, Anders and Brondum. *

' Tim Im going to head out with Squad 1 Davis and Florian when they come back here and start searching the other side of the ship, you are in command of this side with the guys here however Report to me with any changes. We will be only a couple minutes away at maximum. '

* I walk up to Anders who is helping Brondum attack ther fire in 214 and tap him on the shoulder, I motion for him to come out of the room and into the hallway with me. there Tim is also waiting. *

' Ok u guys Jack im gonna tell you what I just told Tim. Im heading with Squad 1 to the opposite side of the ship when they come back aboard to check for people and start some suppression there, Jack ur the lead Medic on this team now, If you need any help call me over the radio and i will assist otherwise u got this. Tim also start rotating the men out for rehab and refill of their tanks, I would do it in pairs but thats up to you but DONT send them 1 at a time, there is too many issues going on with this boat for that use the buddy system lol. '

Documenting the situation at the current time as : 7 minor, 3 moderate/acute, 2 fatalities, 188 not accounted for.

'Okay I got it Floan.'

*I turn back to Nicholas and tap him on the shoulder.

'I'm back, check your ceiling, you have extension creaping out the door.'

*I take the wait of the hose and croutch down to make aiming up much easier for Nicholas.

*I knock the extension down and stand up.*
'Lets move in!'
*We move in about 3 steps, and keep working the fire.*

* after extingushing the bed i back out of the room*

" matthews to floan, colwell and I will be moving across the hall to room 215, thats room two one five, to check for possible extension"

' lets go john, across the hall'

* we crawl across the hall on hands and knees since the smoke is real thick*

*I get back on the ship and walk past more rooms I already searched. I go to the other side with the pumper crew and see Floan. I tap him on the shoulder.*

'Hey you ready to go?'

' Hey Davis, Jansen ur here good. Ok we'll start making our way to the bow of the ship and start checking the odd number rooms starting with 201. Matthews continue with this crew checking the even numbers. We'll meet at the stern of the ship. '

* I take Davis and Florian and start walking cautiously across the ship to the room 201. *

(Im back. Where am I and what am I suppose to be doing?)

*I see the flames crawling across the ceiling go out and pull on the hose as we moveinto the doorway. I watch as progress is made on the fire and tap on Nicholas' shoulder.

'Hey were making progress, start working the fire down the connecting wall and widen your pattern alittle bit.

*I swivel my head arond using my helmet light to help illuminate the room. Smoke is being pulled out and I can feel the slight breeze of air leaving the ship. I look down at my gage and I have already droped to a quater of a tank.

"P-11 Anders to P-11 Matthews, I am low on air at a quater of a tank do you copy?'

* I check my air and see that I have a little less than a quarter. I turn around to Jack.*

'Jack, were going to have to get out soon.'

* I turn back to the fire and start to work it some more.*

* Squad 1 and I make our way to the starboard side of the ship and begin our check of the rooms. *

' Remember u 2 if the door is hot best not to go charging in. Do either of you guys have an ALS jump bag? or maybe a high rise pack? '

*I head up to triage*

'I'm here! Where do you need me?'
