If this is still going on How about: a replacement vehicle for the CI? the current CVPI is 10 years old (based on the picture). How about replacing it with a new unmarked car. Also if there is money in the budget i think we should get raid jackets for PD and COPA personnel for large scale incidents or for plain cloths guys

Hmm good plan. I'll look into another vehicle, it'll probably be an SUV, and semi marked, ps the car is 6 years old, a 2005 model from the original apparently. And It's supposed to be a redo of one we had in stock belonging to GS that was redone until we needed another unit.

Burke judging by the picture of the car its anywhere from a 1998 to a 2002 (My guess is 2000-2002). The car has deep dish wheels which were replaced in 2003. What SUV did you have in mind and what do you mean by semi marked?

Semi-marked have markings on it, but it has interior lights instead of a Roof-mounted lightbar.

In NYC we call those Slicktop cars. Thanks for clearing that up. This may be a stupid question but why would there be a need for a marked investigative vehicle?

Yeah, in Arkansas we call them semi-marked. haha but not a problem. So, after how long do we replace certain items. Like firearms, batons etc?

Will we get a final list of what will be bought when you have decieded?

The reason it was marked before was because it would make for easier visibility, that's all we use in my city, and many others.

I'll post the new raid vests, and new CI vehicle tomorrow, sending the current CI with stripped markings to the reserve pool

New Raid Jackets will be stored in each vehicle

These are only to be worn in the perimeter of a raid. You get nothing else to wear with this, aside from the helmet already in your car, if you are within danger proximity. Only TAC or specified persons may enter the raid area, this jacket is primarily for wear when outside of the area securing it, but may be used if in the area with TAC as well. No extra weapons are provided.
