Cherry Picker Rescue

TVFD Ladder Requests assistance.
Lt. Forsyth due in POV, do notawait her arrival at station to leave, she will be on your tail. Not Beard is still absent

*I see the cherry picker and shut off the lights then pull up on scene, jump out. I see TVFD crew*
'What do we got here?'
Firefighter: We tried to start the truck and lower the bucket but it wouldn't budge. The truck wouldn't even start
'Ok. Hey guys! Hold tight! Try not to move too much! We will have a ladder here shortly to rescue you. Ae you hurt?'
Worker: No!
*I run back over to my truck*
"This is the SEV, I am on scene. There are no injurys as of now. And lowering the basket is not an option"

*I get up from reading the news paper on the couch and run to my gear. I throw it all on and get in the back seat of the ladder waiting for everyone else.*
"LET'S GO GUYS!"

"Understood, is the TVFD ladder up, or is it just sitting around. If it's up, don't take it down, see if we can get someone up there to talk to them, reassure them, 70ft is a long way to keep shouting. If it's down though, don't risk putting it up"

"Negative. It's down. They never put it up."
*I get out m climbing gear*
"There is a power pole next to the picker. You want me to climb it? Or is the ladder almost here?"

"Don't climb it, the pole wouldn't be near high enough, remember, they are 70 ft in the air, just await the ladder before going up"

"10-4"
*I get out a med-kit and make ure everythings there just incase*

I pull up on scene standing by waiting for the ladder and here for assistance. "PC-1 onscene for support." I say into my Radio and walk over to Botfish. "Austin, How many onlookers are there and are there any in the way."

*I hear the tones drop and slide down the pole and throw my gear on. I climb into the drivers seat and wait to leave.*
((I shouldnt leave yet should I?))

((Yeah go ahead, follow floan's style of leaving, in which there is a ride to the scene, not just arriving))

"Patrol, stand by on scene for a mentor officer when you arrive, respond code 2"

"Pc-6 arriving."

*I step out and walk up to Ford*

'Hey, I don't believe we've offically met. I'm Lt. Joe Libor, I'll be your mentor during your first few weeks here,'

(i'm guessing theres a decent sized crowd. I think of it as a busy street)
'Hey guys, Can each one of you take a side of the truck and push these people back a little bit? The ladders got to come in. I'm putting a safe zone around it'

Officer Libor, My name is steven Ford and I came from the FBI Robbery Division. But no time to explain let's stop the onlookers and get this ladder area ready. Yes Botfish heading over there now.

"Copa Ladder 1 respnding with 2, 1 additional pov."
*I pull out of the station and hit the horn andsiren as I turn on to the street. We blow through intersections and People move out of the way as we role.*

"SEV to L-1. We have a spot ready for you when you get here"

*I follow the truck as we head to the scene hearing them blast the air horn at some of the cars that don't stop right away at red lights*
"Ladder 1 from Lt. Forsyth when you guys arrive I want Galligano to grab the plates for the outriggers and get them down. Jack you get the outriggers down"

"10-4, prepairing ladder upon arrival."
*I come around the corner and drive 3 blocks down and then see the crowd. I hit the air horn twice and the crowd moves and pull the truck into the spot that Botfish left for me.*
"Ladder 1 on scene."
*I hop out of the truck an put my helmet on and hit the pto for the ladder. I go around the back and put the stabalizres out and wait for Mike to put the plates down.*

'Ok, sounds good. Just walk over in the between on lookers, just keep back any gawkers. Shouldn't be to many here, kind of a rural area. I'll be around, just give me a call if you need me.'

*I pull up behind the ladder and get out of my SUV then grab my gear out of the back. I take my shoes off and put my bunker gear on and then put my helmet on my head and walk over to Jack*
'Alright. When the outriggers are set Jack I want you to get the ladder up to them. Mike I want you to spot for him make sure he doesnt hit anything'

"Units, please be careful, we've got winds high up there, and I don't want anything bad to happen. "

*I see the ladder pull in thn walk up to it*
'Hey guys! Right now there are no injurys that I can see. So, just don't rush to get the ladder up! You can get it up fast I just don't ant anyone hurt'
(sorry, I might not be on alot. So bear with me)

*Me and Ford walk over inbetween some onlookers and the scene just for assuransce.*

onlooker:'Officers wahts happening? Are they alright?!'

me:'The bucket just got stuck, there fine right now. Just stay back and let the firefighters work.'

*The onlookers relax a bit and stand back and watch.*

(let's go ladder 1 so we can get back to patrol)

((Im going to god mode mike. It has been like 2-3 days.))
*I see that mike has put out the plates so i finish levelingthe ladder then pin the stabalizers. I Limb up on to the ladder and open the control panel and start moving the ladder up and over towards the cherry picker. I see that I am clear and then i get the ladder right next to the bucket.*
"L-1 Lueckenbach to command, ladder is in place, waiting for somewone to climb."

*I hear officers calling for help and I'm not going to skip it for this.*

'guys, I have to go!'

*I hustle to my car, hit the lights and kick it down. As I pull out, I hit my sirens and look at my computer.(continue in patrol center)

"6 backing 8 and 5 on assistance call."

Officer Libor do you want me to stay here or go to the James High Auto Scene?

"I need a police officer to stay here to control the crowd"

Ok Botfish staying here.

"10-4 thanks!"
*I see the ladder crew getting ready to go up*
(Oh, and remember. DCBurke HATES one liners)

*I grab a few a harness' from ladder and put one on then tie it off on the ladder*
'Jack Keep it steady.'
*I check my helmets strap then start to climb up the ladder to the guys in the cherry picker. Once I get there I take the spare harness' and have them put them on.*
'My names Lt. Forsyth from the ERT Fire Department are any of you hurt?'
Worker: 'No were both fine'
'Alright. I'm gonna help you onto the ladder.'
*I help him get onto the ladder and he helps his partner on. I then have them tie their harness' onto the ladder and we decend down the ladder*

*They come down the ladder and I makethem sit on the curb*
'Are you sure you guys are fine?'
worker: yeah, were fine
'i'm gonna check you guys out just incase
*I check their vitals and they are perfect. I then grab a flashlight*
'Follow the light'
*I wave it around and their eyes are also fine
"SEV to COPA, the vics are on the ground and are not injured. What would you like me to do with them and the cherry picker?"

"I'll have one of the tow companies on contract with the county send out something to break it down and get it out of there. If it's blocking the road, go back to headquarters, pick up the traffic back and drop that off until they break that down and clear it out. If it's not blocking traffic, then I'll get a TSD unit out there to relieve you."
(Note traffic back is the interchangeable rear that basically contains all sorts of traffic control devices and has a signboard there as well)

*I hear that we are done so I bed the ladder and go and pull the stabalizers up. I Slide the plates in and walk up to Jess.*
'Hey are we good to go?'

'Stand by Jack'
*I do a quick walk around of the cherry picker*
"Cherry picker command to COPA, be advised the Cherry Picker Is blocking traffic. It is partially blocking one lane of the road"

"You want me to go and pick up the traffic back?"
*I take off my turnout coat*

'Yeah Austin go get the traffic back'
*I walk to the officer seat of the Ladder and put my helmet on the seat*
'Any of you guys need water?'

'Nah, Im good.'
*I walk over to the ladder and put my coat and helmet on the center console.*
'So hows Bruce doing?'

'Ok!'
*I get in the truck and head to the HQ*

*I pull up with the lights off, then jump out and set up the traffic back*
"The traffic back is up. COPA, can we clear?"

"Yeah, return to station, we're good on my side of things"

"10-4"
*I take off my turnout pants and jump in the SEV and head back to the FS*

*I look over to Jack*
'He's doing good. Hes awake and talking. Ladder one load up'
*I say as I climb into the officer seat*
"COPA from Ladder one were clear of the cherry picker rescue"

*I climb into the truck and look at Jess.*
'Um you know you drove here pov right?'

PC-1 leaving scene now heading to Break Room.

'Yeah Jack I know. I gotta grab the report.'
*I grab the clipboard from the dash and grab my helmet*
'C'ya back at the station'
*I hop back out and bring the clipboard over to my SUV and take off my gear getting into the driver seat and pull off to the side of the road to write the report up and enter it into the EAT before heading back to the station*

'Okay, just checking.'
*I release the parking break and put the truck in drive and head bak to the station.*
