'Beard, everything okay, we're getting a mayday from your MiniEAT, what's the status'
'uhhh..' (moans) ' I've been hit, possible DUI, I need ... help...'
'Okay, stay put don't move, I'm sending the best I got out there, just stay put and take this one easy. Keep talking if you can'
    -silence-
'Beard! don't you fade out on me!'
    -silence-
'Kelly, get me a scene camera if you can, if not, I want the everything ERT with a camera there to be on, main screen this. Harold, check with the hospitals, see which one has trauma teams ready, let's move people.'

*I slide down the pole to the RA. I grab my traffic vest and throw it on over my station wear. I pull the cord out of the truck, jump in the diriver's seat and hit the emergency master and trun the siren to Wail. I pull out of the bay and hit the siren button to turn it on. I turn out of the complex and head towards the scene. I grab the radio mic.*

    "RA1 enroute, eta 5 min."

*I keep heading towards the scene when I see a vehicle cut out in front of me and I hear the squeal of the breaks and the crunch of plastic and metal collasping in, a secondary MVA. I grab the radio mic.*

"RA1 to COPA, you'll need additional PD and FD sent to... *I look around for a street sign.*... Fort Basio Lane and Turlit Interpass East, 2 vehicle MVA, just occured in front of me, we might want to thing about shutting the highway down."

I put my gear on realizing this is exactly what happened to me and the guys helped me out awesomely, I'm going to do that for Bruce. I think to myself.
I throw my turnout jacket into the cab, start the truck, turn the lights on and wait for Hannahan.

"PC4 Responding to PD request code 2."
*I flip on the lights to the patrol vehicle and pick up speed giving a burst of wail or the police airhorn to get the attention of distracted driver.
    -10 minutes or so later...-
"PC4 on scene Ill report back soon with report on damage and injuries."

Hearing the call out for Squad 1, I walk carefully out to the Squad and open the driver's door. I put on my turnout pants and hang the jacket on the rear door handle. As we wait for Davis, I climb into the cab and turn on the truck and the lights, then climb out, allowing him to drive as I climb in the back and wait for the rest of the unit.

*I approach the car closest to be, the one with rear damage. I look inside and see the driver and a young passenger.
    'You 2 ok?'
'Yea, just a little ehh 'shoke up' '
'Ok, If you can exit your car and walk over to the sidewalk?'
    'Yessir'
*I make sure they are both safely out of the vehicle before approaching the other vehicle. I then look at the vehicle, which the front end is barley recogniBle as a car, I lean over into the driver side window. I see a woman unconcious at the wheel, and the passenger, dazed looking around.
    'Mamn? Can you hear me?....Mam!?'
*I walk around to the passenger side and tug on the door forcefully as it finally decides to open. I then help the passenger out onto the sidewalk.
"We have 1 going in and out of conciousness, request an ems unit here code 3."
*I continue trying to see if the woman regains conciousness when she finally does I say.
    'Mamn caqn you hear me?'
    'yyeaa, why not?'
"Downgrade EMS to Code 2, victim has regained conciousness."
*I run to the other side of the car, traffic whizzing by me.
    'Mamn Ill be right back.'
*I jog over to my PC accross the street and pull it behind the accident.
*I pop the trunk then get out and grab cones and flares, putting them down blocking 2 lanes.
*I walk back to the patient.
'Mamn Medics will be here any moment to help you.'

I hit the bullhorn button on the control panel and then let go and alternate piercer and wail as I see the lights of the other police cars up ahead. I decide to pull in and block the whole road for safety as I'm unsure how many vehicles have definitely been hit and stopped. I turn sharply to the left, cutting across the stopped traffic and getting into a fend-off, and then I turn on scene lights as I stop and climb out, pulling on my hi-viz traffic coat. I run round to the back and pop the trunk, turning on the rear lights and directors with a click of the button as I do, and grab some cones, placing them across the road.
"CE-1 on scene. Will start investigation." I say into the radio as I head over to my fellow police units, seeing the squad, and my brother as I pass, and stand next to Libor and Lafferty. 'Ok guys, we'll start accident investigation, first things first, have we got the possible drunk driver interviewed yet?' I ask as I grab my notebook out and realise I'd left my hat in the car.

I pull TU-1 past the scene to cover the far end and set my director to the right. "Traffic 1 on scene, I'll set up a traffic solution." I set a few cones to mark the end of the scene, then take a look at the traffic to analyze the flow. ((How many lanes is the interpass? Does it have a Jersey Barrier running down the center, or grass, or is it one solid road? Is there a center turning lane that can be used?))

'So for now, I'm hoping to get the road blocked off for the duration. Just waiting for dispatch to call back. Why don't you go ahead and take the car down to the east bend there with Plum way and start turning them around, and I'll come up with some extra signs from CE-1.'

I walk over to Jackson. 'I need to take some signs from you. We're gonna close the road down on the east end and send people down Southside Trulit. With two accidents and the Waste center incident, there's too much danger on the Interpass.' He nods and I pull a 'Road Closed' sign and a blank info sign from the trunk, along with decals to add to the latter saying 'Use' and 'Southside Trulit'. I close the tailgate and make my way back toward Thomas, who is very efficiently covering the traffic concern.

Whilst waiting for the rest of the team to prepare, I quickly head back to the Squad and grab a jump-bag, and grab myself a traffic tabard, which I pull over my helmet and secure at the sides, before heading back to Bruce. I lay the bag on the grass and grab out the equipment to take his vitals, and a few dressings as well in case.
'Bruce, where's the pain?' I ask as I grab a clipboard off the top of the bag and flick over to a new chart, looking at where the vehicle's been hit and take a guess at leg problems.

"TU-1 to Rescue 1, I'll get some traffic moved for you"

After announcing my traffic I wave cars through a little quicker to help with the traffic flow. After moving a few cars I shut down the opposing traffic.

"TU-1 to Rescue 1, opposing lane is blocked off. Use at your convenience and I have a hole for you to fit through when you are approaching the scene."
