I decide to leave Bruce's patient and help with triage again. I see chuck and his guy as I walk past to a man sat down with his head in his hands, coughing quite badly.
'Hey mate, anyone checked you out?' I ask, he shakes his head and I kneel next to him. 'Just gonna your vitals, ok?' He nods lightly and sits up. I set up to start taking them. 'Respirations 20, slightly laboured.' I say out loud to myself, writing it down then taking the last two vitals. 'Blood pressure 135/85 aaaand Pulse 125.' I add to my previous vitals on the tag, writing the coughing as a symptom. With a lack of O2 masks going round, I grab a bag valve mask out of my bag, and look at the man. 'Just gonna get you some Oxygen, ok?'
'Alright.' He mumbles weakly and I place the mask round his face, and start to press the bag to get the air going. "Plus one green," I say into my radio as I keep working.

"Okay, please file up through here so I can take your vitals."

"OSC copies davis, assist with loading patinet to MCI bus. Give the next most serious yellow to M5, so long as it can be BLS'd. (let Bruce make that call) Other than that yellow load up all patients in to the MCI bus, and we can then pack up. BREAK to COPA, we have finished triage, 1 yellow being transported by M5, 1 red by M1, all other patients by MCI bus. We should be cleaned up and cleared of the scene within an hour."
*I sit down by the EAT and pull up the report form. I punch the button for dispatch information and it all flows in to hte computer.*

    ***EAT***
Run Number: 31052011Foxtrot Nature: Smoke in the area Location: Trulit Subway at the Austin Station
    Units: S1, L1, M1, M5, MCI bus

Incident Report: L1, S1 and M1 were dispatched for smoke in the area of the Truit Subway, Austin Station. Upon arrival crews found there were copious amounts of smoke pouring out of the subway station. S1 enter and began SAR operations, with L1 HRES and L1 Forsyth and Forsyth. L1 Lueckenbach and Price entered the station to find the source of the smoke. M1 was established as treatment, with M5 being added to the card for triage. We discovered that the source of the smoke was a malfunctioning heater, that once truned off dropped a screwdriver out of it. Due to suspicious circumstances, OSC request that Arson investigators be sent to the scene. Crews found 17 victims, 10 transported 7 signed off. We had 7 greens, 9 yellows, 1 red. M1 took 1 red and 1 yellow to ETC with M5 is taking 1 yellow, all other patients will be transported by MCI bus. Once Scene is clear, scene control will be turned over to Arson.

Comments: I think the run went well, unfortunately I was not on as much I as would have liked due to RL, and I know others had the same problem, so all in all good job guys, lets get this packed up and go home!

    "OSC, I copy."

*I get out of the squad, head over to the triage area, and talk to the patients.*

'Attention! If you're wearing a green tag or aren't being transported by the ambulance, follow me onto the bus.'

*They all check to make sure they have green tags and get up and walk towards the bus. The driver gets into the driver's seat while I help the patients onto the bus.*

'Thanks sir,' says the bus driver.
'You're welcome. Have a safe drive!'
*He smiles at me, waves, and closes the door.*

"Davis to COPA, all patients are loaded onto the MCI bus. They're being transported now."

I grab up the equipment I'd been using for Triage and put it back in my jump bag carefully, checking it's in the same place as I'd taken it out of, and then scribbling what I was missing on a sheet, which I tucked in the pocket of my turnouts. I grabbed the bag and slung it over my shoulder, before putting on my Helmet and heading back to the Squad.

As I arrive next to the squad, I see Davis already in it, and open the EMS compartment, and put in my jump bag, before closing the compartment again, and making sure it's locked. I open the rear door and put my SCBA under my seat in the truck, and then place my helmet on the seat, making a note to check all my gear is clean when I get back to the station. I then close the door behind me and start to head over to the MCI bus to make sure everyone's loaded up. Hearing Davis saying they're all loaded over the radio, I do an about-turn and start to head back to the Squad.

'Chuck, we got all the gear back in?' I ask, being my annoying, overly cautious self as the scene starts calming down.

'Yeah I put everything in. If you wanna look around to make sure I didn't forget anything, but I think I got it all.'

*I grab the radio and put on the headset. Then I turn off all the lights and but the squad in drive.*

"Squad 1 to COPA, we're requesting clearance."

*I sit tight and wait for a reply.*

'Alright, yeah, that's cool, just checking and checking, my habits.' I chuckle as I head back to the rear of the Squad, (assuming we're still in the spare) and grab the bars to pull myself in, I sit down on the seat, hanging my helmet behind me and putting on a headset as I sling my jacket on the hook behind as well, and start to look round for a drink for me in the back of the truck.
