FS2 Fire & Protests

(Someone fired a shot into the air, got into trouble, now scene is safe for fire.)
"L-1 on scene."
*I jump out of the truck and see smoke rising from where the fire is.*
'Alright, lets get those crosslays rolled out.'
*I open the drivers side compartment and take out the cocks. I place them under the wheel and get the long supply line and safely run it to the pumper drafting some of their water to us in a criss cross of hoses. I unhook the cap, connect the supply line, make sure its hooked to the pump panel which it is and start flowing water into it.*
'Alright everyone, we got water. Start knocking those fires down.'

((I've read what happened, but my character doesn't know because he has only heard the radio traffic and has just arrived on scene. ))

*I pull up the squad over by the ladder.*
'Ok guys, grab some SCBA. When Raven gives us the go, we'll probably go in for SAR Ops.'
*I jump out of the cab, close the door, and put on my jacket and helmet. The I head over to the equipment doors, grab a SCBA harness and an air bottle, and put it on. Then I put on the mask and grab a pike pole, axe, and some floodlights on the ground just incase they're needed.*

"10-4"
*I hit the lights and flip the siren to yelp and a few minutes later i roll up on scene and i see halls*
'hey halls i dont like the look of this'
*i go to the trunk and get my riot helmet*

"Davis and Jansen, take the roof ladder and make the roof, I'll be up in a second with you guys." I say. "Now, as for you Floan and Cressler... Floan don't ever remove evidence from the scene, COPA may have needed it, second, Cressler your unprofessional attitude to other members of ERT is being noticed, consider this your last warning before I do anything, as there is already a committee being formed to discuss your unprofessionalism and lack of courtesy. A government entity constantly in contact with the public does not abuse it's members. Now go do your work and get out of my sight."

"Hey Russo, glad you're here. Leave the helmet though, you won't need it. Look at the crowd; most of them have gone away now."

*I point across the street. The few protestors who are still assembled are on the opposide sidewalk, mosly watching the growing fire and the FD working by now.*

"We're gonna maintain a strong posture, but we don't wanna show more agression right now. That's just gonna fuel the fire, so to speak..."
*I say to Russo, with a grin.*

"Just stand by the barricades here and keep onlookers outside the tape. Let's make the FD's job a little easier..."

(My plans for this call were multilayered, but I'm gonna cut it short, have this go quick guys, just work on the fire and clear the crowd, no complications please)

"Units, update please

I grab the radio in SEV-1: "DC, do you need help from us? SEV-1 out." Danmm I really wanted to respond to a call in the shiny SEV-1, I say to Karrignton who is standing around in the bays with me.

*I run over to the back of the squad, grab and extension ladder, and carry it over to the side of the structure. Then I lean it against the roof, hoist it up, and head back to the squad.*
'Ok, ladder's set. Ready when you are Jansen.'

"Pc-6 arriving. Assuming command. Crowds are backed up and secure, no problems at the time, scene is secure for fire."

(Sorry guys, been really busy. However, there have been NO shots fired, nor any violence for the future records.)

(Unprofessional attitude? if I am at a fire scene in real life and some cops starts shooting a shotgun into the air do you want to know exactally what i would do? I would but my face in my palm hence I said face palm because it is a RP and thats what I would do end of story and for one scene just one just stop threatening to "Do anything" we've been through this before you can't kick me out without burkes approval anyway so stop trying to threaten me because it's getting real annoying)

*I close down my line and set it to the ground*
'Liam you want to take this line? I'm gonna go find rehab I'm still not feeling great'
*I turn the corner and walk back towards RA-1*

*Palm to face*

*turns on all my lights and flips the code 2's on and pull up across the street from the fire and get in command mode*

(So raven and linda are you going to try to yell at chief for saying it to? or just me cause you for some reason enjoy trying to get me yelled at?)

(DROP IT NOW and stop acting like children.)

(well for this one i'm going to barrow a line from linda who said I"m in the FD now not in the PD so since i got yelled at for talking to someone in the PD i'm going to expect you to get yelled at for talking to me okay now i'm done)

(ok, we are all good now, right? If anyone replies to this conversation further, I will personally request they are suspended.)

*I open the back door of the RA and hop in*
'Hey guys whats up take my bp and tell me i'm fine haha.'

*I jump out of the ladder with Mike and we grab one of the crosslays and we approach the fire and start to spray it*

(me and Mike are rl brother and sister so we gave each other permission to godmod each other in our posts if one of us isn't around)

'Of course, Moon.'

*I follow him to the back of RA-1. He sits down on the bench while I get a BP Cuff and stethoscope from one of the cabinets with the sliding glass door*

'How is it out there?' I ask as a wrap the cuff on his arm

*I take his blood pressure*

'110/70.'

*I check his pulse*

'Heart rate 130.'

'Alright, this is all good. Are you having any breathing difficulties? If not then grab a water bottle then go back out when you're ready.'

*I start filling out a rehab chart for Moon*

"Nah breathing fine didn't even turn on my SCBA its just a smaller fire'

*I grab a water bottle*

'And hows it going? well you were here when we staged right you heard the shotgun so were gonna assume you know how it's going haha. I can't imagine why we have people protesting here, and i'm gonna chill out here for a bit more I dont feel like cleaning up so I'll chat with you till someone else comes then I'll go relieve them.'

*I laugh and smile looking out the back of the RA as the smoke start to subside.*

((Sorry guys been one heck of a weekend, busy as crap.))
*Sitting up front of RA-1 I turn to see Moon hopping in the back. I see Doug taking care of him so I climb out of the front and hop in the back.*
'Doug let me know if you need me.'

'Hey whats up hutch seems like I spend more time with you guys then the pumper'
*I laugh under my breath*

((All I know is this call is really f*cked up, didn't really go nearly as close to planned. People arguing over stupid shit is also ridiculous))

"IC to all units, Is there any statious of the fire?"

*I start walking around seeing little pockets of rubble smoking up telling me there is a small fire under there but I focus on the big fire too. It is going down but we still have some work to do. I start to breathe air as I decide to expose the smoldering wood so everyone could notice things. I start my way back over to the ladder and I decide to radio to COPA.*
"Ladder 1 to COPA and S1C with an update. Uhhh fire here is under control but still prevalent. We're still in the process of extinguishing it but other than that, everything going well. The crowd is still being kept at bay and Fire crews are safe. COPA, do you copy?"
*I clip my radio back on my shoulder and get a trash line crosslay from below the pump panel and charge it. I grab a shovel from another one of the compartments and place it leaning on the truck.*
'This won't do much but it should hold well.'
* I put it under my arm and move towards the smoldering rubble and start spraying the wet stuff on it sweeping side to side. I feel the small bit of heat on my neck feeling like its trying to overpower the cold air around while I'm breathing in 'fresh' air from my pack. I get focused on the small fire and soon, its put out. I move forward looking for any other signs of fire.*

NOTE: SHOVEL FOR OVERHAUL IS LEANING ON TRUCK

"Copy that Ladder 1, Thank you."

"10-4 S1C, your welcome."
*I once again click my should radio back and start the search for the small fires off to the side while the other guys get the big fire. I turn on my flashlight which shows all the dust particles and things from the smoke and I start looking for any more.*
'I still don't get why people would want to do that. We're trying to help them.' I say in my head wondering why this had to happen. I then wonder about the rest of the workers.*
*I find a bit of smoldering towards the middle of the site possibly caused by wind taking a flare to another bit of wood. I spray it before it could get any bigger and it goes out. I look up and hold my nozzle in my hand as I watch P-11 crews and L-1 crews taking out the fire.*

"PC-7 to dispatch, the scene is now under control and fire has begun with the fire supression. Crowd is largely dispersed, some onlookers are still present but they're not interfering, over."

"Copy units, cancelling standby orders for Support team"

* Me and mitch look at each other disappointed*
' Mitch ill put us both back if you want, save some air time'
" Copa: SEV 1 and 2 copy, were back in service"
* I take my bunkers off and leave them next to the truck and leave my coat and helmet laying on the seat and walk into the break room*

*i grab the TIC and walk over to Hannahan*
'here this might help'

'Thanks.'
*I take it from Bruce then start scanning the area again, nozzle in hand. I find nothing on the left side of the site so I make my way to the right.*

*as im walking along im kicking bits of scrap to the side looking for embers*

* I walk over to the truck and grab a McCloud and begin to scrape and prod at the debris looking for any kind of smoldering material *
' Hey Bruce, John u guys find anything? '

'No, I found nothing here. Is the fire out over there?'
*I keep slowly checking the TIC to see if I find anything then I look up a bit and see a pretty good sized hotspot with smoke seeping out of it.*
'Why didn't I see that before?' I think to myself.*
*I begin walking over to the hotspot and look up seeing the fire going down with P-11 crews working on it.*
'John, go and finish with the fire first then you could help with overhaul K? Remember, your with Chris so go help him first.'

*I pick up my radio and check to make sure it's on the right channel.*
'Raven, would you still like us to perform SAR? The fire seems under control, so we can head to the roof. I've got the extension ladder up and ready.'

' Got it LT '
* I start chekcing arund with Chris for further signs of fire and lightly start spraying the area ahead . *

*using the pike pole, I poke around and flip some of the rubble revealing the hot spots.*

"Wooooooohooooooooo for overhaul...."

* takes off helmet and watches the crowd while leaning on the trunk of PC-8*
'hey Halls after we clear this job want to grab a soda at the quik stop?'

'Okay guys I'm gonna go back and poke some hot stuff with a pole I'll see you later'
*I hop down out of the RA and throw my jacket back on keeping it open so I don't overheat. I notice it's pretty much all gone looks like there doing some SAR and they got like two hot spots left so I'm not even gonna bother the ladder has it under control. I walk over to liam and help him roll up the red line. Then I walk down to the hydrant and shut it off but I leave the hose hooked on just in case.*

"P-11 to scene command this is cressler were packed up what do you need help with"

"Ladder 1 to Pumper 11, grab a TIC and help us look over on the rear left side back here. Only the front and the rear right side has been checked. I need to know if the main fire is out on the other side. BREAK Ladder 1 to COPA and S1C, standby for update."
*I put my radio back on my shoulder and look around seeing the flashing lights move all over the place thinking to myself 'this is the life!'. I smile and shake my head a bit then keepp turning over wooden blocks trying to look for hotspots. I scan with my TIC while on the left side of the rubble and still find nothing but I still make sure to keep looking for any hidden fires.*
'How you guys doing over there? Find anything yet?'

"Rodger"
*I hop in the cab and flip open the diamond plate and grab the TIC from it's case. I walk around to the D corner and kick through some rubble scanning with the TIC. Looks like liam got it all back here. I grab my portable.
"11 to 1 LT. D corner is clear looks like all we got left is what you got."
*I walk back to the truck and put the TIC away. Then i hop out and go up to the driver seat and place the zip cuffs under the seat where they belong. Then I have a seat on the front bumper watching the last of the overhaul.*

*I lean against PC-8, watching the firefighters working.*

'Alright, that's it here.'
*I finish with overhauling and begin to put the TIC away as well as the unused shovel*
"Ladder 1 to S1C and COPA, we're clearing up here. Fire is out and overhaul has been completed. We should be all done in about 10 minutes here K?"
*I disconnect the supply and turn off the pump rolling up the hose and putting it away soon after.*

*I overhear the radio and hop up off the bumper. I walk down to the hydrant and disconnect the line. Then I roll up the supply line and get some help throwing it on the truck. I take my coat off and hop into the driver seat and grab the mic.*
"P-11 to command requesting permission to clear"

*Seeing the FD is nearing completion of their overhaul, I walk over to my patrol car, unlock it and lean inside on the drivers side. I flip the switches for the warning lights to turn them of, then get back out and lock the car again.
I walk over to the entrance of the construction yard and survey the area. There's still some smoke and sign of a fire there, even though it's been knocked down now. I think about how we'd better start our investigation into this as soon as possible...*

((Should the PD conduct any investigation into the arson?))

"Ladder 1 to COPA, could we get TFD or PFD to send one of their arson investigators?"
*I take off my mask and stop flowing air to it and place it back in my seat.* I then go over to the RA and ask for them to check me.*
"Ladder 1 crew, head over to Rehab before you leave."
*I put my mic back on my shoulder and sit down on the back step waiting to be evaluated by Doug or Cory.*

*I set my helmet on the seat beside me and lay back relaxing waiting for order to clear and mumble to myself oh boy I can't wait to hear the commissioners summary on this call, and as much as this looks like arson I hope it's not I want this place built already.*
