Specially designed to respond to strokes, this vehicle is equipped with all the equipment needed to diagnose and treat a stroke victim, including a CT-scanner. Neat little truck

If there is one vehicle in particular I want, it's the Bundeswehr Notartzwagen. That's the German military ambulance w. emergency physician. The German military provides some ambulances in the cities where they have hospitals. And they provide SAR/Intensive care helicopters w. emergency physicians on board.
That's the BW NAW. The fire department also operates NAWs (ambulances w. doctors), I'd like to see those as well. And the two helicopters that service Berlin. One eurocopter, and one Huey
No, Notartz means emergency physician/doctor. I don't know if there is word for ambulance. The different types of ambulances are called different things.J. Hannahan wrote:What does Notarzt mean? Ambulance?

M. Kaizer wrote:There are other cities as well. München (Munich) has a few, and probably a lot of others.
And most major cities have baby- and kindernotartz (neonatal and pediatric specialists with special equipment).
M. Kaizer wrote:Ah, didn't know that last bit. I just remember seeing a short documentary about a doctor on a NAW in München.
Sad but understandable that volunteer pediatricians can't use blue lights. Anyone using it should receive special training, or they risk causing an accident themselves. There is a reason that most NEFs have drivers.
