State Fair Fire

'OH CRAP! Raise that ladder, let's move! Let me get a jumppad just in case.'

*I run to the squad, get out and unfold the jumppad, and run back over to Ewan.*

'I'm ready if he falls, but I need someone to help me hold it.'

(Isn't there an inflatable one.)
"The fire is out in the area near the ferris wheel. The ferris wheel area is still smoky though but other than that, it's burn safe. (won't get burnt here)."
'I got you Davis.'
*I bring my crosslay back to the pumper and help Davis with the jumppad.*

((Well, I guess there is! Too late now though. BTW, reply to my PM.))

'Thanks. You know, just incase.'

I start climbing the ladder before it's in full position. I get to a point were I am almost dangling to get the man. You okay? "these saftey bars aren't very safe" he says. Got that right. I grab him and his 13-y/o son and put them on the ladder((we need a tower ladder with a bucket)). Okay, take us down, no need for the pad, nice thinking though. I think to myself I'm a hero! The ladder gets down to the point where we can climb down. I clim down the small ladder((one to the turntable)) and ask the man and his son to follow. Phew!

'Good job, now let's keep working on those fires!'

*I put away my jumppad, pick up my line, and head back over to extinguish the flames on the left.*

'Ok good. Work on that Davis, Imma get the fire farther out extinguished.'
*I grab my crosslay and go to where the tanker is in the middle. I pull my crosslay as far as it can stretch and help out TVFD with the last big fire.*
"We have a concession stand, some flowers, half of a car on fire here."
*I start spraying the car but stay back at a reasonable distance.*

'Fires are almost out here, so I'll help you guys in a little bit. Just have some plants to put out.'

'Ok, Your crosslay might be closer so you could stretch yours longer.'
*I extinguish the engine and start working on the interior.*

'Fires are out over here. Let me help over there.'

"Davis to Raven, all fires near the ferris wheel are out and we're working with the TVFD on some flowers, a concession stand, and a car. Everthing is going smoothly."

*I drag my crosslay over be Hannahan and begin hitting the fires in that area, especially by the concession stand.*

'Thanks man. Help me with the car when you're done.'
*I spray the car down and the fire gets extinguished.*
'Nevermind Davis, the car is doused with water now.'
*I start putting out the plants fire.*

'Man, what do they keep in this thing? This fire is putting up a fight!'

*I keep spraying one side as the fire hisses back at me.*

I grab my pak from the first post and walkbit over to the tanker and hook it up and begin hitting the fire

'Galligano, help me with this concession stand!'

*I keep spraying the left side as it begins to be extinguished.*

I shut my nozzle, change position and turn it back on. I say poor hot dogs. They got fried

'The left side is almost extinguished. I'll start on the right side now, but you keep on the left.'

*I aim my nozzle to the other side of the concession stand.*

"I got the personon the wheel, where's the ladder?" I say, holding onto the person, "Swing the ladder over!"

"ALS1 awaiting orders"

*I finish up the flowers and start on the right side of the concession stand.*
'Alright, let's finish up this fire'
*I spray the concession stand.*

*We finish spraying the concession stand as the fire goes out.*
"The fire's extinguished Lt. Raven."

'Good job, guys. Let's start packing up.'

*I go and dissconnect my crosslay and roll it back up.*

I disconnect my line from the ranker and put it back on the hose bed neatly and put away all the gear ad hop in my seat and wait to e cleared. Lay out some caution tape.

"COPA to command, requesting an update? TVFD reports fire is extinguished. If it's all clear, you guys are good to return to base, TVFD will complete overhaul and cleanup. "

10-4 COPA, command copies. I shut the lights, pull the break and get ready to go...

* I leap in the truck and shut the door.*

Let's go home!

"Yes Burke, the fires have been entinguished. We'll pack up our gear and head back to base."

*I pick up any leftover equipment, put it back in the squad, jump in the driver's seat, and wait for everyone to get in. Then I turn off the lights, put it in drive, and head back to base.*

Copy that Fire Command, marking S-1 and P-11as cleared

I look in my mirror see that everyone is in and pull away

*I step out of the rig to direct the engine into the station.*

I hit the lights and follow Walters orders and direction andback the rig ib

((Burke, Ewan's command for this call, just so you know.))

*I pull up to the station and follow Florian's orders as he directs me into the garage.*

(Good call.)

((Yeah, now what's for dinner?! ))

"Does TVFD have EMS on scene to standby thru overhaul?"

*I put the jumpbag in the side cabinet, and step into the cab*

TVFD has two medical firefighters trained, so they can take care of that when you guys leave.

"10-4, BLS-1 will be returning."

*I put the mic down, put the ambulance in to drive, shut off the lights and pull away.*

Copy that BLS-1. Marking you inservice and cleared. Standby at headquarters when ready to receive another call.

"Am I cleared?"

*i put the ladder down, then jump down raise each out rigger. put the steel plates away take off my coat and get in the cab*
"Ladder 1 is in service returning."

((I like the fact that I never came down...))

"Thanks DC" I get in the ambulance and go back to base. "ALS 1 avaible for callout."
