Oh, no. I can't stand those either. I hope when we have to upgrade the Basic trucks we might be able to get some F-350's or maybe F-450's or the new Chevy models.

Well, I couldn't go over what Lifenet runs. It kinda varies lol. But they are mainly buying brand new Chevy's

our chevy is our dirty dog haha it's our "rescue ambulance" it has a combi tool and some other stuff

our new ford is our rehab ambo

cool, ours don't really have a set purpose. We used to have a rescue squad truck that the GOM (Ground Operations Manager) or supervisor drove that carried Extrication equipment back when they did that, but they got a new chevy pickup.

yeah we rotate our first one out every week but thats for EMS calls

if a fire call comes in what ever was the first out we usually rotate to take the rehab one...and if it's a MVA we'll usually take that just in case they need to extract

Neat, they rotate their trucks every week also, well usually every month. But more commonly every week. lol

I like how on the new '09 someone go there act together and made the compartment on one side large enough so you could fit your back board and spider straps and everything on one side. the older ambulances the backboards have to go on one side and everything else is on the other cause they don't fit well. they don't neatly fit you could probably get it in there but it would be a mess

Lifenet trucks still do that straps on one side Spineboards on the other, then again each truck carry's about 10 boards. lol and they keep the KED and the Stair chair in there.

we have a stair chair and i'm trying to think...haven't been in there awhile I think we have a sked but I can't remember and we have 3 or 4 boards I think

but its nice when it's all on once side haha so much easier to just grab it all at once

Yeah, i'll tell you one thing though. One day I was riding Medic 1 and we only had two call the entire day. When we weren't on those calls I slept on that couch they have at the central station. And I tell you what it was the most comfortable couch ever. lol

haha i sleep on the couch at the fire station all the time haha

Yeah, at one point three of us were all sleeping on it. Their was me, the Basic for Medic 1 and the Supervisor who was riding as the medic for Medic 1 that day. Was pretty cool riding with the supervisor, even though we didn't have any good calls. We had a fall, and chest pain call. But the fall patient was a retired NYPD detective, and the Basic took me and showed me some of his awards and his old badge. That guy was real nice, welcomed us right into his house and he knew the crew pretty well they go their quite a bit, and told them to take me and show me his stuff. Both him and his wife were real nice.

we have 1 couch 2 love seats and 2 recliners and a bar haha the one recliner is freaking amazinggggggg

lol, well Lifenet has three stations, Central, South and West. Central has the couch and a recliner. South has two recliners, and west has two recliners. Central is the main station and R1 (supervisor)and Medic 1 are posted there. South has Medic 2, and West has Medic 3. Got to love the 24 hour trucks. lol

yeah we just have one really tiny station and a bat cave haha

Always seems as the truck for that station is gone, all of a sudden there is a call in that zone, and the closest available unit is also the furthest away. lol

yeah thats how it works just like for vollie stations calls never come in at like 5 in the afternoon its always 3 am or when everyone is working

Yeah, also sucks when all ten trucks in service are busy at calls and you get another call coming in. lol

lol, that only happened once here. That was a monthish ago during heavy snow.

yeah our station unless is in our town is pretty much the safety net we don't get called outside of town very often

haha yeah around if your an emt at one place you work for half the others to haha it's just sorta a big group of people that fill in shifts where they can haha most of them still have another job

i thinking about going to school for athletic training

that would be neat. I'm hoping this summer I might be able to go to troop school and become and Arkansas state trooper. Only flip side their policy is you can't work for an ambulance service unless you are trying to keep your cert up.

oh hmm if i had to pick i'd stay ems but thats cause i like helping more then arresting haha and yeah when i was in school i worked with our athletic trainer its pretty fun

Well, the main reason I got my emt cert was for when i'm a trooper if i'm the first at a wreck, I will be able to help more than just having the basic first aid training.

It was mechanical failure, or has been called that, all crew members rescued, so it's not that bad so far.

mechanical failure is what they claim not that that surprises me....and yeah it's only a loss of 27 million we don't have it's not to bad

And yeah, it could have been a loss of 27 million, plus at least two lives, possibly more if you hit a Libyan village. Just remember you can replace an aircraft, you can't replace people.

The negativity radiating from you is unreal. It's the best case scenario for a crash to be honest, no casualties from US Air Units, or Libyans, and the aircrew were rescued.

for a crash it is the best case scenario the point is we shouldn't of been there and ait shouldn't of crashed its not that I think the crash was bad I think the fact that we are there and it crashed is bad

So it's okay to watch people wanting better rights to be crushed by their own leader. I don't say I support the No-Fly Zone, but it was voted on by the UNSC, and the House of Commons, and they okayed it, so it's justified, unlike some wars.
