Phoxlind Plaza Diner

A diner right off the side of the highway. They have various baked goods such as cakes, cupcakes, etc. And the of course, Diner food.

*I pull the ambulance off the highway into the parking lot for the Union Plaza Diner. I go to the back of the parking lot away from other cars, and back the ambulance into a space. I place the ambulance in idle, take the keys out and we walk in. The diner is crowded with families, but we get a booth table by a window,we both look at our menus.*

'Hey guys, I'm Bridget, I'll be your waitress, can I get you guys some drinks?' The waitress says

ME: 'I think we're ready to order.'

WAITRESS: 'Oh, sure'

*The waitress takes out her notepad*

ME: 'I'll have a coke and bacon cheeseburger, with french fries.'

WAITRESS: 'Alright and for you, Miss?'

(LOL I like the Union Plaza Diner reference. Your ambulance is always there)

'Yeah, I'll have Coke and a Cheeseburger too.'

*She walks off*

'So you do stuff with EMS here like you do back home?'

(Well, they have great food, I'm there all the time, I know the owners. And Phoxlind didn't have a diner type restaurant for units to go for a quick, full service meal on break so I thought I'd make it)

'Basically. Just try to spend the shortest amount of time on scene as possible. Each call, we switch off on treatment and filling out the chart. If it's an ALS call, then I'll do treatment since I'm a medic.'

*I hear the dispatch go out over the radio*

"EMS-1 to Central, we can take that."

'Alright Kelly, your first call.'

*We slide out of the booth, and I look around a moment for the waitress. I don't see her, so I walk up to the hostess desk*

'We're going to have to go, can you just put our food in a to go box and we'll pick it up later?'

"Yeah, yeah, no problem. Pick it up whenever.'

'Thanks.'

*I walk out, holding the door for Kelly. We walk out to the far end of the parking lot into the ambulance. I step in the driver side, put the key in, and take it off idle, and pull out to the exit. I stop before entering the road, press the Master button to turn on the lights, and flick the Manual button on the siren a few times as I pull out into traffic*

*I back the ambulance into a spot in the back of the lot away from other cars, idle the ambulance, and we walk into the diner.*

*We sit down and lok over the menu, the waitress comes over*

WAITRESS: 'What can I get you guys?'

Me: 'I'll have the Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo special, and a coke.'

WAITRESS: 'Alright, and you?' *She turns to Kelly*

*I back the ambulance into the same parking spot, then we walk in. Our waitress from earlier waves at us.*

'Hey! You're back!. Sit where you like, I'll be right with you.'

'Thank you.'

*We go sit down at a booth at a window. Our waitress comes, puts 2 menus on the table, then takes out her notepad and flips through some pages.*

'Alright...' *Points to me*

'You still want Chicken and Shrimp alfredo and coke?'

'Sounds good.'

*She turns to Kelly*

'And I don't believe we got your order...'

'Cheeseburger and coke please.'

'Alright, I'll put that in.'

'thanks.'

*She goes away then comes back with two waters

'SO, this isn't much different from back in Ne Jersey when everytime you try to eat you got a call.'

*I drink some water

'When we're done we should go stop home and let the puppy out for a few.'

'Ha, yeah. We should speed this up before we get another call. And yeah we'll go take care of the dog.'

((Good call, forgot about the dog for the past month lol))

*The waitress brings out are cokes*

'Your food will be right out'

'Thank you'

'So. Little late, but how 'bout the Bruins? 2011 Stanley cup Champs!'

'Hell yes! 2011 stanley cup champs! Let's hope for the devils this season though '

*The waitress brings out our food

'Thanks

*We start eating

'So i dont know if i told you, but one of our friends from nj is coming to stay here for a few days. She wanted to check out ert.'

*I start eating my food*

'Yeah, we're going to have to take some time off to go see some games throughout the season.'

((Is somebody seriously joining? Who?))

((Yea. i'll txt you)

*We finish our food

'You two need anything else?'

'Nah, just the check'

*She puts the check on the table

'Thanks guys see you soon'

'thank you'

*I finish my food and the waitress takes it away*

*I open up the check, quickly make sure it is indeed our check, then put some money in it*

'All set?'

*We get up and walk out to the ambulance, thanking the owner on the way out. We step in, and I pull out onto the highway and head to the house to let the dog out for a minute*

*I pull into the Diner and park using two spaces since I have a trailer. I get out and am followed by Tim into the diner. I take a seat at a both near the door and wait for Tim to order.

* i step out of the sev and grab a portable and clip it to the back of my belt and bring the mic over my back to my right shoulder*

* we walk into the diner and sit down*

* i pull the menu out and decide to have a BLT sandwich with fries*

*After hearing what Matthews is ordering I place my order for classic cheese burger with waffle fries. I also ask for a mug of coffee. After waiting for a little bit the waitress comes back with my coffee and I take a drink. It is bold just how I like it.

'Thank you very much.'

*I turn to Tim

'So what do you think of that giant ship in the harbor?'

*I pull into a parking spot and head inside*

"PC-8 is gonna be out at the Phoxlind Diner on portable and cell-phone"

*I order the country fried steak special and await for my food to arrive*

*I finish eating and pay as I rush out to my car and head to back up Bucello*

*I back my unit into a spot and turn my engine off.

"S-1 to COPA: I will be out at the Phoxlind Plaza Diner. I will have my cell-phone and handheld"

*I walk inside and take a seat*

*After eating I get back in my unit and head back out on patrol.*
