Welcome to the ERT Training Academy.

What is the purpose of this Complex?
The Training Academy, also referred to as TA was created to train primaryily officers of the ERT in different certifications, such as medical, fire, tactical and other certifications. The TA is also used by training officers to arrange special unit training, such as refreshers, new equipment training, or general teamwork excersizes. These are arranged through COPA with the cooperation of involved officers.

How does the ERT TA rank it's personnel?
The ERT Training Academy has four types of training personnel, ranked on the standard military officer scale.
Training Lieutenant - A part time position in which this staff member has received ample training in his field and helps out with training other officers in advanced techniques, however may not do their own classes, and are primarily emergency service workers
Training Captain - A semi-time position in which the staff member has received ample training in his field of work and has been assigned as training officer in it, responsible for ensuring training is up to date for all neccessary personnel. This person's main field is the training academy however they maintain their emergency service rank when they are not in a class
Training Major - A full time position in which the staff member has received ample training in their field and has served as a commanding officer in their field as well. This person only works at the training academy, and is responsbile for ensuring all personnel are up to date and all needed positions are trained well.
Training Academy Department Chief - This is one of three full time positions in which the bearer is responsible for overseeing all training and works within their division.

What is the Training Academy rules? How can I train?
Students may apply to certain courses for training. These will be advertised in the Class Schedule by their appropriate training officer. To enter a course, you need to be accepted by the TO for that course, and unless it is a distance course, you must be able to miss working time for those classes. Which means while a class is in session, ie monday, thursday and friday, you may not respond to any calls unless otherwise stated by the TO or a Chief Commanding Officer of the ERT, such as DCBurke. If you are not accepted to a class, it is because A the class is full, or B you are not qualified to take the advanced class.

    Tests
Tests may be given in the form of a written test posted when the class material is taken down, and given a 48 hour time limit to submit, they may be given as a scene in the training academy scene area, or may be a combination of both. This is at the discretion of the Training Academy Officer.

How to be a TA Officer?
If you feel like you meet the requirements for a training academy position, you may apply through the District Commissioner

    Training Academy Grounds
Welcome to the ERT Training Academy, please read. TrainingAcademy
These grounds have the most advanced equipment put in place in america at this time. Surrounding the perimeter of the grounds is a two lane paved road, allowing easy access for emergency vehicles to the compound, parking and the four blocks of training grounds. The rear of the compound includes a Five story control burn tower for fire training, able to be fitted for any and all types of fire within a 1 hour window. There is also a two story General structure, mostly used by police to be fitted at need to simulate all sorts of police encounters, such as high risk warrants, hostage takings, etc. The rear two blocks have a flat tarmac which may be used for simulating much larger incidents, such as plane crashes, etc, as well as a 30ft dive pool meant not only for diver training but also for other types of water rescue. The rear portion of this block is paved for emergency vehicle staging.
The roads surrounding these blocks may have vehicles placed on them for crash simulation, and there is also a shut down at every insection or junction, allowing closure of that area of the road for police training, such as chase simulations, etc.
The front of the compound includes an open air ceremony section, the main headquarters, equipped with a small training hospital and abulance drop off point, as well as a second story rapelling training centre, that fixed rapels to the area between the Headquarters and the parking lot. The General station is a single story structure made for housing the TA's several fire trucks, as well as some other specialty vehicles. Ambulances are parked at the training hospital, and the police cars in parked either in garage, or on the lot, depending on circumstances.

ERT Training Academy Headquarters Floor Plan
Welcome to the ERT Training Academy, please read. TrainingAcademyMain
This is the floor plan of the ERT Training Academy, Phoxlind National, located just outside of the current mapped West city limits of Phoxlind. Each room has a number. Any questions are to be asked here

    ERT Training Academy Uniform
There are four types of uniforms found as training academy specific. The first being for part time cadets, or those who attend classes, but also still serve actively in the ERT. Their standard uniform is the same for Training Academy uniform, with the exception a blue bar is to be slipped onto the epaulette straps as well as a small pin placed on the left arm below the station patch saying TRAINING ACADEMY.
The second uniform type is for full time cadets, they receive a black uniform, standard to the ERT Fire department station wear, and they have on their left arm, in place of a station patch, the ERT divisional training patch, and the training patch on the Left arm. The shoulder straps are to have blue epaulettes with the training rank on them.
Third and foruth Uniform types are for Training Officers. They are each given a shoulder board, that is black with their training rank on it. This is to be worn at alltime on the academy, over standard uniform, as well as receiving a TA jacket, specially marked with rank, and division. Full time training officers will be given the full compliment to their equivalent standard uniform, but with training academy markings

Looks cool! Are the cadets allowed to train here (Explorers if you call it that)? Can we use this place for regularly scheduled drills and EVOC maybe?

This area is used by new cadets, The ERT explorer program, open to 14-17 year olds summer program, in which we employ 50 explorers in every division to come and train with us, and get basic experience in all the aspects of their division, while getting working experience, working 3 days a week. It's also open to use by current ERT personnel, to train up their certifications, advance through ranks, and also for special training and refresher courses decided by the department liason for training

Hey, looks awesome! Really realistic and I'm glad we have separate trucks so we don't have to take the primary ones out of service and have some other spares if needed.
