'Ok.' I reply checking over my kit again as I prepare to follow Jansen, and see the snake slither off of the body of the woman. I finish checking my kit, and prepare to follow Jansen.

"RA1 to Botfish, Negitive, that snake is venomous. Green and black spots is the textbook coloring for an Eastern Green Momba, and the Mojave Rattlesnake. Just frezze it with the CO2 and then cut off the head, but don't touch the head."

    "Sure Jansen, we'll stabilize her."

I run over to the girl and set down the ALS bag and Backboard, I immediately grab my turnout jacket and wrap it around her. I open the ALS bag and get one of the compression bandages out, I then lift up her top and wrap it around her torso where the snake bite was. I grab my radio: "Daniels to RA1, I'm going to insert an I.V so yo can get those warmed fluids into her as quickly as possible. Daniels out."

I grab the Blood Pressure cuff and put it about 3 inches above the elbow, I then find a vein that I can use. I push the needle into the vein and push slowly. I take the needle out and put ti in the sharps container in the ALS bag. I then tape the I.V ready for the RA."Alright, the I.V is in lets get her on the backboard and head to the RA."We slide the backboard under her and lift her, I sling the ALS bag over my shoulder and we head towards the RA. I grab my radio again: Daniels to RA, we are heading towards your location now. Be ready for us."

(Sorry for not doing sooner, I messed something up with my laptop anyway.)

I lean down next to the woman and check her leg, lower leg fracture. I get the splint out of our bag and see that the soldiers had immobilized the leg at the knee and ankle before we'd arrived. It didn't look too serious, so I started to strap the bone to the splint. I finished tying the splint up and checked that it was in place, and that everything was OK as I got the backboard ready. Two of the soldiers started to hold her, along with Jansen as I slid the backboard underneath, and I passed the straps to them and they tied her down. 'Ok, hope I did it right.' I said as we picked up the backboard and started to move.

'Any volunteers for driving the SEV?' I say while I hop in the squad

(Will be finding a second person on the RA, but you never should take someone from a one person unit, because then you're getting the bill for the tow truck I send out, regardless if the truck needs it or not Wink )

'I'll take it if we need to.' I say as I start to pack my equipment back into the compartments on the squad and make sure I have secured them before I get ready to go wherever.

'Alright then.' I say as I walk over to the SEV and open the driver's door and climb in, putting my turnout jacket and helmet on the passenger seat. I restart the vehicle and prepare to drive off, ready to follow behind the Squad when they're ready.

As Mitch drives the squad, I put of my helmet and see the SEV follow, on the way to the station I type up a report in the EAT.

    =====
Call: Fort Basio Joint SAR Operation

    FD units: S1, RA1, SEV
    PD units: N/A
    EMS units: M5
Other agencies: Fort Basio SAR team

    Victims: 3

Everyone did good on this call, Prob. FF Jackson also did very good in treating the victim.
The victim's where quickly found due to help of the SAR Team, there was some confusion about what snake it was, but I don't blame anyone for that, it could be asked to COPA though. Overall, good call.

I drive towards the complex, I flick the switch to turn the lights off and put my headset on.

"Good call guys, the snake bite victim was pretty sick. We got her pretty stabilized so she has a better chance. Oh, and Jackson Awesome first call!"
