*i reach over and set my helmet on the dash then put my head set on*

*I begin writing down on my clipboard the report for the call.*

EMS Unit(s): Phoxlind EMS, ERDC

Summary: Ladder 1 responded to the scene and the victim was found. The victim was quickly grounded and ALS treatment began. Shortly after, PPD arrived due to increasing amount of crowds in the area. PEMS arrived soon after the ERDC and the patient was transported.

Comments: Still good. Hutchison provided good ALS and Jess listened to orders well as did the rest of the crew.

'There we go, done.'
*I enter the report into the EAT and press send. I jump into the truck and grab my radio.*
"Ladder 1 to COPA, please advise if we can clear from this call or provide assistance to Squad 1 or Pumper 11. Hutchison and Tim are with PEMS transporting the victim to the hospital so we'll be two people short for a while. over"

'we ready to go Hannahan?'

'Not yet. Gotta wait until COPA clears us...oh and good job up there Bruce.' I say through the mic on my headset.*
'You too Jess and Jack. You worked fast and did everything you needed to. Keep that up. Hey Jess, since its your first call here, we are all gettin' ice cream. That's what I give to you guys and your hard work. hehe. Dang its takin' a while for COPA to talk back.'

'alright. Hey jess now that we got another SAR on the ladder we can do some trainin at the station'

'yeah, maybe you could be hoisted up this time haha. Yeah I might do that.' (A station I was supposed to ride with down here wanted to put my in a bucket and extend the ladder 100 ft in the air haha. Good thing I got transferred)
*I sit back on the chair and wait to be cleared. I look at my ceel phone and start toying with it.*

*i turn on the defroster and sit back and watch the snow fall*

*I turn my head towards them*
'Considering my dad made me hang from my hometown's ladder 105 feet in the air from a safety harness I don't have a problem with being hoisted haha'
((true story. LMAO))

"Hutchison to Ladder 1, we're clear of the ED, en route back to scene with PEMS."
*I hop in the back of the ambulance while the medic drives Tim and I back to the scene.*

( I know im on the ambulance, but maybe you should go put out the dumpster fire that been burning for a day with just garcia putting it out lol, and hey! I want ice cream!)

* I jump in the ambulance and then nod to the driver that were all set to go and we take off*

* I pat hutchinson on his back*
" Good job man"

'Wow that could have gone alot worst, I just hope they can fix what's going on in his brain. Atleast we got him to the ED alive.'

" You got that one right"

*I look out the window of the ladder and watch the snow a bit before turning back*
'I don't know about you guys but I think a hot fudge sundae sounds really good right about now.'

"Rodger that Ladder 1. You are now clear and available for call out."

**I type into my available units that ladder one is clear from this incident and available for call out.**

*The Ambulance pulls along side ladder 1, and I hop out with my restocked medic bag, thank the driver for the lift back and then climb in to Ladder 1*
'So how'd you like your first run there Jess?'

* I also get out of the ambulance grab my coat and helmet and jump in the warm, crowded cab of ladder 1 and get ready to go back*

"Alright bruce, lets get this thing moving" I say laughing

*i put the ladder in drive, shuting off the emergency lights as i pull away from the scene.*
'Hannahan dont u think its a bit cold for ice cream?'

*I turn my head towards bruce*
'Bruce don't ever threaten us like that again' (referring to you saying its too cold for ice cream lol)
*I smirk and turn to cory*
'It was awesome...almost reminded me of what it looked like when my dad hung me off our towns 105 foot ladder by a safety harness.hah..though I have to say I am looking foward ot being the one being hoisted cause it is fun'

(Good thing you were able to move. I wouldn't be. They would probably tie me up before hanging me)
'Whoooo....got a text.'
*I look at my text and laugh. I then look up and say to Bruce:*
'Nah, just heat it up. Remember we have some in the fridge. Oh and Jess, that was about the easiest call I've ever seen the ladder go on soooo...yeah, get ready for harder ones haha. Good job Hutchison, you alright? Tim, you?'
*I wait for a response from them as we drive back to the station.*

'Oh Goodie harder calls. Good Thing I was beginning to get worried haha'

(alright. call cleared. No more posting here. Not mad just sayin')

* I nod hearing the patients vitals.
'Alright, good work Hutchison. I'll be heading back to the hospital then.'
