Station layout Contest Empty Station layout Contest

Post by M. Galligano Tue Jan 04, 2011 8:50 pm

So, I have decided to make a little contest! I am the judge. To enter please pm me. If you enter, YOU are responsible for making a layout of what you picture station 1 as. You may use paper, computers, or any other tactic. You will then PM me the picture and it will be judged my me and possibly Burke. The winner may receive something and there picture will be posted on the topic. You may use more than one sheet if you want to do floors. DO NOT post your pictures in the topic. If you have any questions, please PM me. All pictures are due on 1/10/11. Thanks and good luck!

As a lead up to the official release of the 3d images of the Station 1 interior, we'll now be doing a contest, in which you layout how you see the station being.. Winner will be judged on accuracy. The winner will be announce by DCBurke when the station is released. Please post your rendering of how you imagine the station to be entered

I actually have the official draw up saved on a jump drive at my house, so what I'm going to do, is look at all the submited public ones (posting the picture here) and rank based on realism and how close they are.. The shape on the map is more or less the actual shape of the building.

I am also in the process of putting together a 3D building and posting the layout of the structure for viewing, so this adds as a nice little run in.

Well two things, first of all, I can't judsge realism, and no one can see them except you, therefore defeating the point of a contest

Galligano, I'm going to stop this now before you do anything, okay?
I asked for the pictures to get posted here so I can judge them as well. That's that. If you're going to get upset I asked that the pictures get posted here, then I'll just end the contest all together. There is no need to create an issue over a non issue

Nice, 2 questions, one DC1 is at the main building and one at Fire Station 1? And what are SV-1 and SV-2?

DC-1 is me... Any units that don't have a department can be assumed belong to building, and I'm DC-1... The Dep Chief 1 for fire is at station 1.. If he was at HQ he'd be FD-DC1...

SV one and 2 are SEV 1 and 2. It's an older map, from the old ERT, therefore, something were slightly updated. Same thing, a fire support and rescue support truck. just slightly different abbreviations
