Old Kleiner Warehouse Fire

I switch on the infared camera for each unit's CCTV to COPA, since through the smoke it's getting hard to view everything. Deciding to check everything again, I also turn on the Thermal imager for the Pumper 11 one, which I have trained on the entire building. Sure enough, it shows weak pockets where we have water sprayed, but looking to the far right, which is where the oxygen tanks are mainly stored we have almost no fire, just a high level of heat. This could pose a huge threat!

"All units, be advised, in viewing the Thermal scene camera, I see a high intensity of heat towards the fire areas, however in the O2 storage area (the main bulk of tanks) there is virtually no fire but a high amount of heat. We need to cool it down in there before something happens. COPA recommends venting the sides of the building and avoiding the roof, since we are unsure of stability."

Running through COPA's main building centre, I see that the original blueprints have a lock for the O2 storage incase of a situation like this, HOWEVER because of the decommissioning of the building, the storage area is no longer tight, and is unlocked, which could provide easy access for us, and unfortunately also for the fire.

I share this information with the ERT scene crews

I enter with Jansen and as we go in I point to a utility room. "You check that one, I'll check the bathrooms" I say and go across the hall.

"Got it" I say and check the utility room, there's no one. Suddenly I hear a scream "HELP ME!" "Raven, did you hear that?" "Sounds like its coming from the end of the hall near the break room"

"Fire Deparment! Where are you?!" I yell..It stays silend for some seconds "I'm here, in the back, please help me" "We're on our way, stay we're you are!"

I see where Jansen is. "I didn't but hold on" I say as I see what's behind Jansen. "Sprinkler control, it's in the off position." I say and turn the wheel. Ages of old water start to flow out of the pipes and starts to turn my turnouts even blacker. "That should buy us some time." I say and then turn to look at the door. Several components in cardboard boxes are starting to shift. "Garcia, we got the fire supression system going, but I think I may need a new door on the side of the building that isn't a hell storm." I say. "Alright Jansen, let's find this guy."

((LOLOLOLLOLO this is reminding me of part three of the second mission in Real Heroes Firefighter for the Wii))

"Alright, Mitch, I'll try to knock down the fire as we move. Let's go check those offices. There could be people in there!"

*I spray the fire around us as we move in.*

(lol that's what I was thinking about)
"I hear over the radio that they hear people and and spray where the most smoke is coming from."

"BLS-1 to fire interior, let me know how many vics you got in there once you locate them."

*I grab a cicular saw from the Ladder and move to vent the area with the oxygen tanks, "Can I get a hoseman over here to acompany!" I yell

"I got my hands full Jack, try to ask Lidner."

I put on my lights as I get into my truck at the start of the shift.

I check the EAT and see the alarm for the fire and figure I should head over for now, just to see what I can do. I turn on my siren and start my trek to Union Road from First Street

Copy that ES-1, no victims have been located yet

"BLS-1 to COPA, can you start ALS-1? I have one patient, difficulty breathing, high blood pressure. Getting additional information now."

I get off the deck gun.
"Can someone take my place?"
*I get behind Anders with a line and wait for him to start cutting.*

Copy that BLs-1, requesting ALS -1 respond now. ES-1 is out about five minutes if traffic allows

"Alright, I just heard that 1 vic has been found. I'll keep looking for more with Mitch."

*I spray water onto the fire as Mitch looks in the offices.*

ALS 1 Responding, I pull up and see the flames engulfing the building, I go to where BLS 1 is and get out my tools and wait for the firefighters to bring over the victims. "ALS 1 on the scene"

"Hey Ridgeback, the one I need you to take for now is in my rig. Blood pressure 180/100, pulse 155, reporting difficulty breathing, I have him on oxygen. Let's just put our stretchers next to each other, and we'll just pull him onto yours. Once you transport, come back since we don't know the condition of the victim inside yet."

*I pull the stretcher out of BLS-1*

"Ok, Mc Guire" I pull the victim into my rig and start a 12 Lead, he's in sinus tachycardia.
"Are you in any pain?"
"No"
I administer abulterol for the smoke that might have got in his lungs. He coughs up some soot.
"Jimeny Hit the siren."
"ALS 1 enroute to the hospital."

"Fire department, if anyone is here please yell out!"

**I keep moving from room to room looking for any vics**

Negative, we're trying to find someone, we can hear him.

I shoot water into the windows and wait for Anders to cut the hole.

I continue walking. "FIRE DEPARMENT! WE'RE ARE YOU?!" "I'm in the 2nd utility room" "We're gonna get ya out of there!"

I get to the door and check it, it's locked. "Watch out Raven, I'm gonna break it down!"
After I break it down I see the man, "Let's get you out of here! Raven, can you help me?"

I arrive on scene, flick to my first setting for lights, leaving on just the outside of the bar and the director on back, then walk over to the medical units to see waht's on the go.

Anders opens a side wall.
"Lt., we've got a hole cut on the right side of the building."
*I spray in and spray the floor and walls. I back up as smoke pours out.*

"Yeah" I say and go into the utility room. "Sir, put this mask on your face" I say as I take off my SCUBA mask. The smoke is just comming in and the lights on our helmets see the little whisps.

That's when the boxes fell. "Shit, we're going to need another entrance." I say. "Garcia, we have him, and we're going to the new entrance. "Come on Jansen, this way. We're going to have to go through some fire.

"I keep spraying inside the building but don't see them yet. Where are they?" I ask myself.
"Lt. Raven, be advised it's on the right side of the building."
*I spray the fire I see and make a good sized path.*
"I made a path LT. Raven but it won't hold up too long."

*I continue to cut vent holes and a doorway for Raven and his firefighters*
((sorry had to get off early to do homework and had school and been a little busy))

I spray the walls and spray the ceiling waiting for the Squad crew to come out.
"Lt. Raven, do you know where you are? (just in case we need to adjust our openings)"

I see the light coming from an opening. "There is our exit, but is blocked by flames" I grab my radio "Anyone from the pumper, spray some more on the inside so we can get out!"

"Gotcha Jansen, I'm still working on it."
*I move a bit closer and put out most of it.*
"Alright guys, I almost gotcha. I see you."

*Aims towards the opening and sprays the fire

"Hannahan, keep going I say "If we're bllocked off we keep moving we don't get bogged down" I say, I keep the guy on my shoulders. "Let's close the fire doors around the oxygen tanks. Look sir, take this," I give him my helmet "we gotta close the fire door." I look around at the emergency station, and see there are small breathing apparate. I open it up and give him one, then put mine back on. "Jansen let's close these fire doors."

"You got it sir. This fire'll be dwon before you finish."
*I get closer to the fire and drench the floor infront of me with water and work the water back toward the fire.*

"Got it." I walk to the fire doors and close 'em. "We're all set, let's get our vic outta here"

I walk over to where the man is sitting, take off the helmet, and put my arm around him. I take the breathing apparatus that I gave him and take off the mask and give him mine instead of putting it on his back. "All teams evac now." I say as Jansen and I carry the man between us we make it to the exit as the first of the roof goes. I go through first and pull the man out first and yank Jansen out of the hole, and we go sprawling on the ground. "Jansen, let's get up and go to the squad, Hannahan get going we don't have a lot of time." I say as the entrance are's concrete roof cracks and falls to the ground.

"BLS-1 to Interior, what's the condition of the victim?"

"We don't know, we're moving away before the roof collapses." I say "Meet us by the squad and for god sakes make sure both he and I have have oxygen."

Togheter with Raven and the vic I run to the squad while behind us the roof partially collapses. "That whas just in time, I need a water. Raven, are you okay?"

I pause a moment as I sit down, my face is covered in soot, as I set the guy down. I turn around and see a fireball poof up wards around where we had been. The crowd is looking at us in disbelief at the hell hole we were just in. But the work isn't finished, I start medical treatment almost the second after I let him down. "McGuire, let's go, you just got formaly invited."

"Hey dude, we're still stuck in here! Is the main entrance still passable? I heard a bang!"

((Do you still want me to find that dog, Raven? ))

((Nah...))

"Crap, Jansen take care of this guy" I say and grab the K-12 from the truck, then without pausing to put my air tank back on I go to the non destroyed part of the building. "I'm going to start a hole, I don't have back up, but it's just courrigated aluminum and particle board" I say and start up the saw.

I arrive at the hospital, give a report to a nurse, quickly clean and restock the ambulance and hit the siren back to the operational area.

"PC-5 on scene" I pull up to the warehouse, and keep my car back from the fire. I put on my raid jacket (for identification) and flip my lights to low power. "COPA, who should I interview for the report?"

I arrive back at the scene and get out the stercher, truama kit, and EKG and wait for the firefighters to bring in the victims.

I make the hole and pull the other two firefighters of my crew out. Then walk back to the truck, "Ridgeback, I have one vic, by the squad, Jansen is taking care of him." I cough a few times "Also, you got any cough medicine?"

"Yeah" I run with the truma kit to where Jansen is and begin treatment. I have Jiimeny give the cough meds to Ewan.

((That was more of a joke, but okay.))

I take off my coat and get some water.

I get my patient on the stecher and wheel him to the ambulance.

I run back as the building's roof collapses with my line and get back over behind Lt. Ewan and spray into the hole he created.

Watch out, guys, the collapse is the most intesnse part of the fire right now, according to the thermal camera. I'm asking for an air unit now
