Old Kleiner Warehouse Fire

I spray the roof with my line from where raven is standing and wait for the air unit.

"Raven, if you had your SCBA mask off in there check in with BLS-1. I just need to give you a quick eval for your safety. Same goes for anybody else inside who removed the mask and were breathing air inside the building."

**I exit with Davis, coughing and spluttering**

"My mask came off when the roof collapsed, I'm alright, how;s the vic going. Thanks Raven "

"I had mine on so i'm good but my air is low so I gotta change mine."
*I reposition myself away from the building to get a better shot at the fire.*

"All units be advised, I've contracted out a PHC helicopter to fly over. I've got an ERT staff member on board and we'll be receiving air coverage for the scene. Be advised, this is not a marked ERT helicopter and has no communications except through me"

I check with my good friend and my ERT Thermal Specialist, former air squad firefighter and US Marine, Colonel Jason Beard. "Jason, ETA to scene?"

"I just got on the tarmac, oh the joys of lights on the ERT staff cars. I really need keys to one of these Dave."

"Yeah, we can talk about that later.." I say jokingly "How much longer?"

"Five minutes Easy."

"Good. Lemme know, I'm watching your feed"

I radio out. "All units, Air is ETA 5 minutes."

*I hear the sound of the bird (still faint though)*

"Check with an ALS unit."

((BLS is not equipped if a person breathes superheated gases to intubate or do anything else. ALS would do it because they can do all checks))

After I helped the vic I drink some more water and put off my SCBA. "Thank god, we all got out in one piece" Seems like i'm outta air, "Raven, how long is the Air unit out and are you okay?"

"Oh man! Thanks for getting us out of there Raven. Let me take a little break and then I could get a line on that fire."

*I take off my air tank and jacket and grab a bottle of water and sit in the truck by the crew.*

I get off my line,run to the engine, exchange my SCBA with the extra ones on the side of the engine, put it on then get back to where I was.
"Hey Jansen and Lt. Raven, don't you guys have some extra air bottles in the side pockets of your squad?"

"Burke said 5 minutes. And don't worry just a little smoke."" I say.

"Gotcha Lt. Raven. (I'm just really antsy and ready to put this fire down)

"Air is over and shows a few hot spots, but nothing we shouldn't be able to contain without destruction"

"Hey everyone be careful in case a peice of roof lands on those O2 storage bottles" I yell as I got to the back to the ladder

"OK, Raven, what should I do now?"

"Let's grab lines." I say and start extinguishing this mess.

"ALS 1 is transporting a victim so until I come back have BLS 1 treat."
I push the patient into the ambulance and close the doors. While Jimeny is with the patient I go to the drivers seat and hit the siren.
"ALS 1 enroute to the hospital."

"Anybody need help on a line?!" I yell walking behind the row of linemen*

I put on a fresh SCBA and get a line, after that I extingiush the fire.

"Let's surround and drown people." I say. The rest of the roof begins to fall into the fiery hell below.

"Ok, I could get a better vantage point by getting back on the gun."
*I put my line next to the engine and get on the deck gun, spraying the collapsed roof.*

I arrive at the ER and open the door run to get my patient out of the ambulance and wheel them into the ER as I give a nurse the report. Then I restock and clean and back to the operations area.

"Ladder one, am I getting a good shot here?"
*I move my deck gun over a bit toward the slow stream of smoke.*

I arrive back to the operational area and run to where BLS 1 is with the truama kit stercher and oxygen.

"Geezz, this thing is hot!"

*I keep a line on the fire as it hisses back at me.*

**I grab a new SCBA, grab a line and move to the firefight!**

"I agree with you Davis, this is hot!"

"Ok guys, I got the big spot fires up here."
*The fire hisses back at me as I put the wet stuff on the red stuff *
(Do we have a crane to assist us with overhaul?)

((No, we don't, pick through and secure with what we can, IR crews will finish overhaul once we have it put out))

OSC, update?

(Ok)
*Spot fire after spot fire I extinguish.*
"Alright guys, tell me if I'm missin' any spots."

*Stops spraying, as he cannot see any flames anymore
"I don't see nothin'"

After extinguishing some hot spots I stop my line and check the mess "Looks like it's out to me, what do you guys think?"

"Good, Imma just go over it slowly one my time to drown out the rubble just in case there are flames under it."
*I move my deck gun to the far right of the building and make my way left.*

I notice another small spot fire and put it out. "We should be okay I think"

*"Beard how does it look up there?" I yell thinking Bruce would have a good view*

"It looks fine from down here. We should be good. Keep an eye out for anything wierd, though."

*I begin to walk back to the truck and disconnect my line.*

I sweep the back of the place with water then shut off the gun. I put it down annd lock it. I then begin to disconnect the supply and disconnect the lines to drain the water.
"Can someone help me pack hose please?"

"it looks good up here"
*i shut down the master stream and make my way down the ladder*

I put the tools back into the engine and get onto the side of the engine and start packing hose.

I start disconecting my line and putting it back. "I think we're done here"

I finish all of the lines, take off my SCBA, get some water, and lean against the engine.
"Yup"

*i lower the ladder down and raise each out rigger, and take off my SCBA and coat then go get some water*

I put the old SCBA in the side pocket of the engine, grab my inventory clipboard, and make sure all of the tools are accounted for.
"Done."

*i do a quick walk around checking to make sure all of the tools are there, then shut all the doors*
(is there a cascade unit on the scene that we can fill SCBA bottles)

"Anything I could do, Raven?"

*Shuts off the line for the fire hose, disconnects it and puts it away
*Takes off his SCBA gear and puts it back in the truck
*Jumps in his seat on the pumper and waits for the driver to leave the scene

"Hey after the fire is out if you took off your SCBA check in with me as Garcia said to"
