"You might wanna get crews over to the bend in southside trulit road, I just saw a couple cars disappear, could be a sink hole"
"Understood, can I get a name please"
"Frank Gihooley from the Control Tower at Johnson, I'm here till 5"

The squad barrels down the shoulder of the road. Traffic is already starting to form. I can see the point that the cars stop ahead and turn off the siren.

* We make a right turnout of the station and start the Sirens I look at the rest of hte crew then punch a couple numbers into the EAT giving me the callback information from the 911 call to Dispatch and read what was said. *

' Ok This might be a problem guys so everything must be really deliberate and carefully done. Nobody get out of their assigned positions without letting another know where they are going. casey, park the Engine behind the Squad then get a Supply line going. Once thats done grab a 2" line and hold fast we may need it.
Jack , AlS bag and Rapelling kit. then come meet me.
Eli: Grab a Rapelling kit and form up with me and Jack.
We are gonna more than likely be the ones rapelling down since we are Medics here to check the cars for people. If we find some then we will form a plan on what to do once we see the situation. '

" Pump-11 to Squad 1 we are approx 1 Minute behind you and also see the traffic starting ot form up. we dont have a visual on you so can you advise us onc eyour on scene where to stage. "

'Lieu, you want me to pul the Line?'

' Yea Nick, Make sure its good to go and stand by with Casey to help lower us down. '

" COPA.....Pump-11 can we start a medic unit on this call please. "

'Gotcha Lieu.'

( We are not on scene yet )

As I get back into the driver's seat I hear the request for a medical unit go out. I look over at Jamie, who gets in beside me.
'You wana take it?'

'Sure'

She picks up the radio, and says we are responding, I start the ambulance up, and hit the master switch for the lights and pull out of the bay, and merge with traffic.

*putting my coat on in the back of the Pump, I confirm the Lieutenant's orders.*

'Gotcha Lieu, Rapell kit, form up with you and Jack. Want me to grab a stokes litter too?'

The squad rolls up and slows down and we park in the grass. "Floan belay the rappel kit, we're going to run an extension ladder down. Position yourself behind me."

" Pump-11 copies Squad 1 we are 2 minutes out. "

' Ok guys Jack stick with the ALS bag but no Rapel Kit, Eli still take a Rope with u and you, me and jack will go down there to assist ravens crew. Everybody else still continue with you rprevious instructions. '

* I Start to see the Squad ahead and see that there are cars backed up for What seems to be a Mile already counting what we passed and what I see. *

' Caset Pull up 100ft Behind the Squad I want in no uncertain terms NOTHING happening to this unit. '

* I kill the siren as we start to slow down and eventually come to a stop a way's behind the squad. *

" Pump-11 On Scene. "

* I Take my headset off, hang it up and climb out of the truck. I reach back in and grab my cover, a portable radio and a bottle of water. I start walking towards raven while the rest of my crew gets out and starts to do their assignments. *

*As the truck stops and the air brakes release, I slap my helmet on my head, not buckling it up. I open the door and step out, and head over to the compartment for some rope. I roll up the door, grab the collapsed stokes and lay it on the ground. I grab a 100' line, and reach for my portable.*

"Pump-11 Command from Pump-11 Babcock, Lieu, you want the stokes and a 100' line?"

"Alright I want a ladder down that hole, that's our first priority. Get airbags and the K-12 ready." I say. Then I shed my helmet and creep on my stomach towards the side of the hole.

" Pump-11 Command copy that Babcock. "

* I get down to my stomach and Like Raven take my helmet off and slowly creep towards the edge to see down. *

I peer into the car and see a single passenger but cant see into the back. "Looks like this was a cave at one point." I say pointing to the rock, the hole is about 20 feet wide by 30 feet long, no utilities are exposed either.

"Roger Lieu"

*I place the 100' line in the stokes, and, thinking we may need more, I place a second 100' line in. I close the compartment, and pick up the stokes. I walk to a spot about ten feet behind the Lieutenant and Captain. I place the equipment down*

'I'm ten feet behind you with the stokes Lieu. I also brought an extra 100' line just in case.'

I crawl away and walk towards the squad. "Eli grab the other end of this ladder." I say getting the extension off the truck and ready to go.

' Yea it sure does doesnt it. I think we should send Babcock in. He is trained at Decending rescues and he is a probie. Stanley can gear up and be ready for RIT with us too if needed. What do u think. '

*I hook up the supply line to a hydrant and run back to the truck and pull off a 2" and charge it as Casey gets behind me and backs me up.*
"Pump 11 Brondum to Pump 11 Command, be advised we have a 2"line pulled and charged. Do you need it now, and if so where?"

'Gotcha Cap.'

*I jog to the other end of the ladder, helping Captain Raven take it off the rig.*

"Status guys, is this confirmed as a sinkhole?"

" Pump-11 command necative on the line, Keep it charged and stand By, Will advise over. "

* I peer into the hole deeper while raven and his crew startt o get ready to go down. *

" Pump-11 Command to OSC Raven did you copy COPA's transmission? This sure looks like a Sinkhole to me. "

"Could be either. Either way stay frosty." I say grabbing the end of the ladder.

"Understood, I'm checking city maps, there aren't any underwater rivers, or pipes going through here. Let me know what it could be. I'm sending a request to Fort Basio, see if we can't borrow some ground imaging equipment. It'll probably be another hour or two before we can get it at the earliest though, so don't wait on it"

*I hope off the truck and grab the ASL bag from the compartment nearst me. I grab helmet off my seat and go around to Eli. I see he has everything. I grab my bag and watch as Floan and Raven army crawl out to the hole. I wait to hear if we are a go. I watch as the extension ladder is prept to be placed.

'Are we good to go Lt.?'

" Negative Jack just assemble with the Squad crew. Im coming back away from this ledge. "

* I slowly back my way out off the ledge and eventually make it to stable enough land that I stand up and walk back towards the rest of the crew. *

' ooook Lets get a man down there. Babcock. Tie a rope off to the supports on the squad, use a turnout coat for a sort of rope break when u get to the ledge so the rope doesnt burn up a we lower you. Jack, you and Stanley from the squad get that extension ladder ready to go down the hole once Eli is down there. He can guide it once he touches safe ground. Eli once your down we'll lower you some supplies but be careful. '

* I walk over to Ravens Squad and take off my turnout coat to help get harnessed up in case we get into a RIT situation. *

* I get out of the squad and start to walk over to the side compartments to get the K-12. I take the box out and open it up. I grab the K-12 and walk it to the front of the Squad to set it down where I then start to help P-11 Anders with the extension Ladder. *

' Anders are you gonna be ok going down there? '

*I make sure my harness is all set in case I have to go down*

'Ready Jack?

*I grab the other side of the extension lader and hoist it up over the latches. I lower it to my shoulder.

'Yeah I will be fine Hank, lets go'

*I walk behind Hand as we make our way over to where the group of people are congregating. I see Floan and Eli getting harnessed up to go down the sink hole so we can get the ladder set up and get supplies down to remove the patcient.

"M-2 Arriving on Scene." Jamie says over the radio as we approach traffic. I turn the siren off, and pull onto the shoulder and slowly make my way towards the fire equipment.

"Alright two ladders down the hole." I say putting my helmet. Sheriff's deputies can be seen in the distance heading towards the scene as I put the chin strap on. "Let's see who we got and what we got. Not everyone in the hole."

' Got it Cap. '

* I walk back towards the Squad while Babcock, Raven and Anders start to make their way into the hole. *

' Alright Ewan i'll take command up here and you got them down the hole. If you need me let me know and i'll be down there. Im giving you Anders and babcock. Anders is a Medic and Babcock who's an EMT. '

* I Notice Don and Jamie coming to us. *

' Alright guys go ahead and set up right here I dont knwo yet how many victims there are or their status so just hang out till we get more info. '

* After lining out the EMS crew I walk over to the decending team. *

' Ok guys whenever your ready head on down there. but please be careful. at the 1st sign of trouble get ur asses back up here. '

*after taking off my getting a harness on over my turnout coat, which was harder than I thought, I grab a pair of Medical gloves, slip them on, and put my fire gloves on over top. I secure the chin strap for my helmet. I take a deep breath as I walk to the edge of the hole.*

'Alright, Cap, we gonna free rapell in or are we gonna be lowered in?'

' Guys we need to get down there. Eli, We'll lower you in and Raven & Jack will climb down when the ladders are in position. lets get it going guys. '

* I get into position after Eli attaches the rope to the posts on the squad *

' Nick, grab the rope with Me and we'll help Lower Eli into the hole. but be careful dont get to close to the hole. '

*After several close calls of scratching nearby cars I arrive behind the fire equipment.

"Show M-2 On Scene."

*I then put the ambulance in high idle, and open my front door.

* After Lt. Floan tells me where to set up I start looking around at the other cars that are close to the Sinkhole. *

' Hey Lt. shouldnt we start getting these cars out of here? '

" Don can you bring over our ALS Kit and some O2 please . "

* I start to set-up Blankets and lay them out on the floor in anticipation of several patients. *

'Yes Ma'am'

*I get in the back of the ambulance, and grab some 02 tanks (I guess) and haul them outside to Jamie. I then return to the ambulance and grab her ALS kit.

' Yea jamie just as soon as PD gets here they can handle it. '

* I start to Hold the Line to lower Eli when he is ready. *

*I get over to the rope behind and tap him on the shoulder.*
'I'm behind you Floan, the line is still charged!'

(She's gonna get pissed at you calling her ma'am haha. Remember even in IRL, she's still too young to be a ma'am)

((Sorry been busy a few days.))

"All right here's the game plan boys and girls. Floan will be commander up top, I will be commander in the hole. No more then 3 in the hole to start with. There isn't enough room for the jaws in this case so we're going to have to remove the car from the vic. We'll be using the K-12. I want you using ladders. We'll reposition the trucks if need be to use lifelines. My suspicion is that the ground below the cars is not very stable, so I want airbags pushing the car to the hole. Pumper Crews are going to be spotting us. Stanley, you will be incharge of the saw, Colwell you and me are going to use a pneumatic saw on the door to get through the lock, I'll carry the pack you get the saw.

*I take a deep breath, on the edge of the hole, and sigh. I brace my feet shoulder width apart, heels over the ledge. I reach out, in the natural human reaction, and grasp the rope with both hands at an arms length.*

'I'm ready Lieu. Lower me down whenever you're ready.'

* I give Eli the thumbs up and I start lowering him very slowly down into the hole. He keeps going and going until finally i feel the pressure on the rope stop. *

" Pump-11 Command to babcock, check around and tell us how many victims there are. Raven and Anders will be down shortly. "

* With my man safely down I walk over to Raven. *

' Ok Ewan I have Babcock in the hole he's gonna tell us how many vic's they are, Medic 2 is setting up over there and I have a 2" line charged and ready. we'll be ready up here to receive victims when your ready. '

I carefully move towards the ladder with an air pack on my back for the pneumatic saw.
"You got that ladder Eli?"

" Pump-11 Command to Squad 1 Raven.....Check for Gas leaks before starting that saw. BREAK Pump-11 command to Pump-11 Babcock, any word on Victims and also let us know if you need further supplies. We'll lower them down to you. "

( Ok guys its at 3 days now and we havent even reached the victims yet??? come on lets get going please. )
