Ok heres a little history lesson about 1990s FDNY BC and EMS SUV's

There are a few things to know about FDNY BC trucks
    • There were 4 purchases in the 1990s

    • Due to the FDNY and EMS Merger there were a few oddball SUVs that were acquired from EMS

    • They were all suburbans

    ok lets start this

    - 1991
1990s FDNY Chief and EMS Trucks Scan0315
    Windows not normally tinted
    Chevy Suburban
Last year for the Boxy Design
First SUV order to have Yellow/White/Yellow Striping
Aerotwinsoinc (Same bar as the NYPD used from 1981-1990) light bar
    Par-36 Rear flashers
    PA 300 Siren
    Mars 888 light
    Roof Mount Spotlight

    - 1994
1990s FDNY Chief and EMS Trucks Scan0360
    GMC Suburban
    Aerodynic lightbar
    McDermott Highriser bar
    PA 300 Siren
    Mars 888 light
    Roof mount Spotlight
    Corner strobes on fender

    - 1997
1990s FDNY Chief and EMS Trucks Scan0365
    GMC Suburban
    Aerodynic All light Lightbar
    McDermott Highriser bar
    PA 300 Siren
    Corner strobes on fender
*Some are still in service (Very Rare to see one but there out there)*

    - 1999
1990s FDNY Chief and EMS Trucks Scan0367
    Chevy Suburban
    Aerodynic All light Lightbar
    McDermott Highriser bar
    PA 300 Siren
    Corner strobes on fender
    *Some are still in service*

Oddball units include the Broncos Acquired from NYC*EMS i'll throw them in
1990s FDNY Chief and EMS Trucks Scan0371
    1992 Ford Bronco
    Code 3 MX 7000
    Siren Unknown
    Rear traffic director bar
*I have no memory of these in service so chances are that they were phased out rather quickly after the 1996 merger. my guess is they went out with the 1997 and 1999 orders of suburbans*

Any questions and any way i can clear things up?

the things on the back of the vehicles, they can be controlled to "fold up" so they resemble a ref's touchdown arms like this: | | and have lights to easily be seen

see video, this is the nypd, but same thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfsjSSyCmKg
