New Regulations, taking effect week of July 11, 2011
Notice to all personnel of the ERT
POV Operational regulations have changed to be more specific in allowances, as well as use.
Fire Department Officers will be permitted red and white lights, with a siren on their vehicle, however are expected to respond on the rig, unless extenuating circumstances prevent it, or it would be best for the rig to leave and be followed later by the officer.
Fire Department Non-Officers will no longer be permitted red lights on their vehicles. Only Blue and white lights will be permitted at this time, in conjunction with a siren, however units will be expected to always ride on the unit, and never respond to scene in POV.
Police Personnel Aside from the special officers listed below, no units in the police department will be permitted to use any form of emergency vehicle lighting on their personal vehicle.
Special Police Personnel This includes Special Agents, TAC Personnel, and approved officers, will be allowed to run a full unmarked red/blue police package on their vehicles. They will be expected to respond to station with this package, and only to scene if COPA approves
EMS Personnel Only cleared Emergency Doctors will be given lighting privleges, and these will be extended to Red and White, with sirens. COPA will approve medical personnel as needed.
Please buy within your range. You cannot afford a 2011 fully loaded dodge charger fresh out of a police academy. Think realistic, or I'll downgrade it for you.
